"No idea what they are. The red robed one seems to be in charge, the white robed one just a minion... But Whitey got stabbed and I don't think I saw a drop of blood on the blade. Plus when they showed up we had two mysterious illnesses right after," Zeds explains. "They could be dragon cult, for all we know. I don't think the cultists wear name tags... We've scuffled with a few and they seemed a bit varied. Some people. some kobolds, same half dragon things..."
Zeds pauses and considers the new guy a moment. Fact was, Zeds couldn't be sure this new guy wasn't dragon cult. "Hey Krackle... You spent some time with this guy? You trusting him?"
"No offense, mind ya... But we just met," Zeds says turning back to Ixsas and offering him an apologetic smile.
Let me know if the party wishes to leave the caravan in an effort to reach the cultist caravan or stay on as guards. If asked Faelsin remarks that all caravans who have any sense stop at the midpoint of the journey at a rest stop call Carnath House a mere 2 more weeks of travel.

Ixsas says, "You mean the two teamsters?" He thinks about what Zeds has shared about the cult and the robed figures. He finally says, "These mysteries only leave us with questions, but perhaps the Light of Kossuth can pierce the darkness and reveal the truth. I examined the comatose man just before we found the giant's tracks. If Faelsin will allow it, I will invoke Kossuth's Fire to burn away whatever disease has befallen him. If he can be cured of his affliction, perhaps he can tell us what happened and whether the red-robed one was involved."
"No offense, mind ya... But we just met," Zeds says turning back to Ixsas and offering him an apologetic smile.
Ixsas doesn't seem offended, but he does answer Zeds, "One of the Fervid Fires at my temple saw a vision in the Fire. I believe that this cult and their plans are the 'calamity' that I was sent north to prevent." As he continues, his voice shifts from his regular register into a louder, more ringing tone*. He declaims, "If you stand against the cult, I will join my flame to yours. I have undergone the Trials. The fires of suffering have kindled the Light of consciousness in me. I am a Burning Brazier of Kossuth! I know my purpose, and I will not waver. The EternalFire is with me, burning now and forever!"
"Teamsters? No, these are new add-ons to the caravan. They joined a night ago... They're not working the wagons," Zeds answers.
Zeds listens to the... sermon? And while he recognizes the oratory skill it's a bit much for him personally. "Eternal fire. Sure. Whatever. If you're against dragon cults and undead then that's good enough for me."
Krackle looks worried as Zeds describes two newcomers to the caravan. "well... that is scary. Did you try asking them if they were undead? doesn't hurt to ask." The kobold says as he clutches the backpack on his chest and whispers into the bag... trying to reassure the egg that everything is ok before replying to Zeds.
"Well... he seems kind of strange... but I don't think he is a threat. He could be helpful. he did heal a giant back there..." He adds with a smile as he points back over his shoulder.
((I believe Krackle has met the red robed and white robed people? That is who Zeds is talking about, the ones who joined the caravan just before the strange illnesses/spider attack thing))
"Teamsters? No, these are new add-ons to the caravan.
((Just to clarify, Ixsas was responding to the comment about "two mysterious illnesses." He was referring to the teamster who had the thing in his throat and the one who has been comatose.))
“You might try m heal them if you can, our only cleric has gone so suddenly.” Ironthar said to Ixsas
“About the undead drakes I’m afraid we might have our own undead problem, but whatever this thing is, I don’t think we can fight it without casualties. Because of this I don’t want to leave Faelsin’s caravan right away. Let’s wait until we are at the halfway point at Carnath House.” He said to the party.
Ixsas is not foolish enough to pursue 2 undead drakes by himself, so he'll just remain with the caravan. He'll ask for Faelsin's permission to treat the comatose teamster before they get underway again. If Faelsin agrees, Ixsas casts lesser restoration on the comatose man, hoping to heal his affliction.
Faelsin gives the go ahead in hopes of helping the downed teamsters.
The comatose man stirs and sits up screaming. A nightmarish scream that continues as he tries to scramble out of the wagon pushing Ixsas out of the way.

Startled by this reaction, Ixsas jumps up. He stares, dumbfounded, as the man pushes past him. Recovering somewhat, he says, "That...that wasn't me." Looking to Ironthar, he says, "Quick -- grab him! Hold him still."
If someone is successful in grabbing the man, Ixsas runs over, shouting, "Tell us! What ails you? Where does it hurt?!"
((Spells like lesser restoration have a range of "touch," so they'll be more reliable if the man isn't running around.)

ooc: I was asking if anyone asked the mysterious robed figures were undead or not. Krackle definitely met them when he first pulled the scary spider out of the man's throat.
Krackle watches as the healed man tries to scramble out of the wagon. As the man flees, the kobold attempts to grab hold of his leg. "Wait! what happened!?" He exclaims.
Both Krackle and Ironthar is able to grab hold of the man as he fiercely tries to flee.
The screaming teamster screams "They will come for me I must hide myself!" his eyes are darting around wildly as if expecting whatever he has seen to appear.

Ixsas looks startled by this exclamation, his green eyes opening wide. His gaze darts to Ironthar and Krackle to see whether any of this makes more sense to them. He asks, perhaps a little sharply because he feels embarrassed that the man he healed started screaming, "Who?! Kossuth can keep you safe, but you must tell us who is coming for you!"
Zeds sees the briefest of smiles from the man in red as he observes the unfolding situation.
The screaming man is thrashing on the ground with Ironthar and Krackled holding onto the man. "The Scorched knights comes for my soul. Please I beg of you to let me go. I must flee before nightfall."
