While traveling and making idle chat with the others, Serge told a bit more about his own history. The youngest of a multitude of children born into a poor* noble house, Serge had been a child without a place. His eldest brother was groomed as the heir to the household. Most of his sisters were married off. Another brother and sister joined the priesthood of Helm. There was a 10 year gap between Serge and his nearest-in-age brother, Kost. Kost had earned himself a knighthood through strength of arm and skill at riding, not just on the family name. To keep a young, idle Serge out of trouble, Kost had taken the boy on as his squire. It afforded him a chance to get out and see the world and develop a sense of how he might fit into it. Though Kost made it clear he hoped Serge would follow him into knighthood... it wasn't to be. Serge doesn't elaborate on why exactly the life of a chaste and noble knight wasn't in the cards.
* You get the distinct impression that Serge, despite apparently growing up in a noble family, with a fencing instructor and private lands, sees himself as poor. Perhaps it is a matter of perspective, comparing his family to other, more wealthy nobility. Or perhaps Serge is just completely out of touch.
Under attack by two wyverns, Serge raises his sword and makes a warding gesture with his fingers. A shimmering field of blue scales appears in the air before him. The stingers of the monsters stab and probe but are unable to pierce the veil of magic.
As Wyvern 1 flies away again, Serge notices Wyvern 6(?) scrounging in the camps food stores to the south. "You - get over here!"he calls out and a lash of lighting leaps from his blade toward the errant monster.
lightning lure: The wyvern must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be pulled up to 10 feet in a straight line toward Serge and then take 3 lightning damage.

Round 3: Ixsas
As the Radiance of the Dawn fades, one of the persistent monsters swoops down again. Like last time, a light flares from Ixsas's holy symbol, but this time the creature was expecting it. While Ixsas focuses on defending himself from the wicked-looking stinger, the creature manages to bite through his armor, cutting his arm. Ixsas ignores the pain and focuses on the dark shapes flying above Serge and him as they prepare to swoop down and strike again.
Ixsas says, "Serge, I will call forth the flames of Kossuth. Duck down!"
Movement: Crouching down and then standing back up after the spell. Action: Ready to cast a spell (LVL 3 slot) Fireball at a spot ~25' directly above his position. Each creature in a 20-ft radius sphere from that point must roll a DC 15 DEX save or take 23 (fire) damage (or 11.5 (fire) damage on a successful save). (OOC: The sphere's cross-section at a height of 10' above the ground is a circle with radius ~13', so he should be able to catch MV #1, #2, #3, and #6.) Free Action: Talking Reaction: When Serge ducks down, cast the readied spell.
As the flying creature attempts to bite and stink the kobold, he instinctively raises his arms to protect himself. As he does, A set of metalic.wongs manifest around the kobold to protect krackle from damage. The attacks fail to Pentrate the metallic wings. A moment later a loud DRACONIC CRY can be heard from within the wing-cacoon before it Burts open and the kobold stabs forward with his dagger.
reaction - protective wings for +3 to ac
bonus action - Draconic cry
action- dagger Attack: 26 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
[CON save: First roll was a 9on the character sheet, but then it rolled two more times and gave me an error about "Were you trying to roll a Constitution save?" Never seen that before. Sticking with the 9= Failure.]
Serge again has to cast shield as a he is surrounded by snapping jaws and whipping stingers. Despite his magic, one of the stingers gets through. He winces visibly as the poison takes hold.
Hearing Ixsas call out a warning, Serge prepares to duck under the imminent blast.
Action:Dodge Attacks on Serge should have disadvantage and he gains advantage on his upcoming DEX save.
Reaction: Will cast absorb elements if he is hit by the fireball. If he makes his save, he will instead save the reaction to cast shield again if the wyverns keep hitting him.
