The blonde girl smiles widely and claps her hands in excitement as the chain breaks by Thrax's mighty axe. "That was so impressive, you think you can cut us through that door too Thraxinthos?" She asks quickly, seeming quite eager to join whatever is happening on the other side of the locked door.
Thrax moves over to collect the rest of his possessions and quickly checks his meagre gear is all present. With his weapon now in his grasp and the strange blonde girl proving herself worthy of some measure of trust, the aloof wariness and hostility that Thrax displayed earlier begins to evaporate. A mouthful of teeth, as sharp as daggers, gleam with glee in response to Seraphina's request.
"Say no more." The dragonborn smiles evilly, and then begins hewing the door down with utter abandon. Gargantuan scaled lats and trap muscles flex, and Thrax begins carving a door within the door.
Should Seraphina join the effort to fashion a means of egress from their jail, he will blink in surprise, and then grudgingly step aside to allow her the opportunity to participate. When his turn is up, he will continue to chop away at plank after plank, sticking his head through the exit they forge, large yellow eyes wide as they scan the area for new threats.

Thrax grunts in surprise and redoubles his efforts. Once again, however, his attacks fall short of doing much in the way of meaningful damage.

A loud harrumph escapes the warrior's jaws. If he could blush, the dragonborn would be an even deeper crimson still. Instead he glowers at the door barring his way with newfound respect. "A great and powerful foe you are..." Thraxinthos grumbles, and then lays into the sturdy door once again, bringing the bit of his axe down into the robust wood.
When the resilient material gives way, he jerks his head through the portal, looking for danger. "It is done, follower of Selune. Freedom!"

After multiple thwacks at the door, that seems much sturdier than it looks, it finally splinters and cracks open leaving a few chunks of wood left hanging on the hinges.
Seraphina turns from sheer excitement over soon breaking free to continue with her mission to feeling a bit concerned over her newfound ally and his axe. Perhaps the door was magically enchanted to withstand even the mighty blows of the red dragonborn. Her excitement quickly returns though as Thrax finally breaks through the impressively sturdy door, giving him an encouraging pat on the back, ready now to follow him into the raging battle beyond.

Round 10: Ixsas
Hearing a different fight downstairs, Ixsas realizes that the dragon cultists from the Inner Ward must have gotten into the tower. Zeds and Krackle won't be coming to his rescue, and he cannot withstand much more punishment from Dralmorrer and his bodyguards. If they're going to be killed, Ixsas prefers to make a last stand together, but he doubts that he can escape from both fighters in front of him. As he staggers back against the wall of the spiral staircase, he a hand toward the bodyguard who struck him, spraying him with a cloud of poisonous gas. Then he tries to turn and flee back to the ground floor.
Movement: 30-ft of movement back down the stairs and away from the stairs, past the door, probably moving along the map-right wall of area U. Action: Cast spell Poison Spray at the guard in melee with him, CON 15 save or guard takes damage: 5 (Poison). Free Action: Talking. If Ixsas manages to get away and makes it to the ground floor, he will probably say something to the others.
((OOC: I don't think that Ixsas can avoid two opportunity attacks, and he really cannot take even a single hit here. He hopes that the poison spray is enough to kill the guard, leaving just Dralmorrer in melee with Ixsas. And if it looks like Dralmorrer's opportunity attack will hit, then Ixsas can use Warding Flare to try to avoid that hit.))
Reaction: The first time it looks like one of the creatures is going to hit Ixsas, he'll use Warding Flare to impose disadvantage on the attack.
Action: Cast spell Poison Spray at the guard in melee with him, CON 15 save or guard takes damage: 5 (Poison).
((OOC: Ugh! Terrible time for a nat-1. I was hoping for a nice, high damage roll to make this plan feasible. Maybe I should have gone with my first thought and just dropped a Fireball into the room! Anyway, let's see what happens, but I expect that Ixsas is about to be knocked unconscious.))
Scene 2
The chains are broken and Thrax is free. The door to leave the guardroom is locked. It's a plain wooden door with a keyhole.

Yep, Thrax can channel Jack from the Shining to chop their way through the door.
