(It’s still up but there’s literally no way Tommy won’t kill it)
Jetsam’s rage ends and he sheaths his swords as Tommy dispatches the last enemy. He still can’t speak because of the perma-silence cast on the room, so he asks through hand signals if anyone wants to check anything out in this room, and if they’re up to one more floor or if they need a short rest.
(so yeah-how’s everyone looking, short rest now or one more floor?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kulibak, hands in his pack about to pull out some rations, realizes he is the focus of attention.
Derp
He quickly puts everything back into place, and moves to the stairs. Cautious, he looks over the staircase looking for traps and the condition of the stairs. If safe to do so he starts up the stairs quietly...
*Hadrian rolls his eyes at the pantomimes in his group as he wipes his Axe clean of gibbering. He took a whiff and made a very sour face while shaking his head.*
*He readjusts his straps and firmly holds his Axe and shield as he looks at the area ahead letting his allies pass to take his position in the march*

You look around carefully, but thankfully don’t see and traps. As we continue up to the next floor, you see that it’s a library, full of bookshelves and books and reading chairs and whatnot. You can see a glyph of warding in the floor in the middle, and as you watch, a couple of the bookcases flicker, as if they’re illusions, and for a split second you can see the shapes of a few [creature]Grell[/creature] in them.

Doing his best hand signal to warn the others he signs, There is a glyph by pointing to it and that there are monsters in the bookshelves/room linked to the glyph maybe.
Both hit! That’s no damage to be sneezed at.
This hits too!

OOC - I'm ok to keep going, but if others want a rest, I'm fine with that too.
Capt. Sask takes a look around just in case he spots anything worth taking or should be dealt with.

Once done he's ready to go up to the next level or rest.

Capt. Sask watches for hand signals and only proceeds when he sees a sign to do so. If a threat forces the issue, he'll join the others as needed.
Staying behind the lead person he will observe and investigate as he moves.

Floating octo- what the heck are those? says Kulibak
good eating! kill them! tear them apart one swishy thing at a TIME! DO EET NOWWWW!!!!! yells one eye in his head
Drawing his quarterstaff Kulibak steps forward and pokes the flickering bookcase with it with a growl -
Quarter staff Attack: 25 Damage: 9
critical hit + savage attacks damage = an additional 2d6 9
just noticing the critical hit is in the fist damage roll above in red, so we take the 4 in blue from the line below? total damage 13
The reason it’s in red is that it automatically rolls an additional die upon a critical hit. Red numbers mean at least one die rolled the minimum.
either way, as you step over to the bookcase the glyph of warding triggers, casting Darkness from it. Your attack still hits, though. Roll initiative!
