"Me rifle through mother's things, perish the thought!"Mimzy said with a smirk. "But I'll keep your suggestion under advisement. Griselda hasn't acquired any new nicknacks by chance has she? Then I wouldn't have rifle."
As Nubby disappeared Mimzy continued on her quest to return the hand mirror and investigate the sounds she heard earlier.
Ascending the stairs, you reach a familiar cavern and are met with the five alcove entrances. Roll an perception check (DC 10) to determine whether you know which of the rooms the voice had sourced from, and a further investigation check if you succeed.

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Mimzy not sure where the sounds had come from just shrugs and doesn't worry I'll about it or concern herself further instead concentrates on returning the hand mirror exactly where she found. Using Mage Hand to not directly touch it and makes sure not to look into it! Once it's back where it needs to be she'll go back down stairs and collect the nets and picnic basket and leave. Flying back to where she left Mugwort.
Humming a rousing melody first performed by a monarchical band in some untold age, the goliath rapidly unleashes four strikes with his whip - the dragonborn's reflexes save him from two, but the others make contact. The first of these is positioned just below his jaw, lacerating the softer skin of the neck and enraging him. The second coils around his wrist, causing the scimitar to cartwheel out of the dragonborn's grasp and land with its tip stuck the mud. With a grunt of disoriented surprise, he attempts to regain composure - but is bleeding profusely from two gaping wounds.

Mimzy...
Deciding not to worry yourself, you carefully replace Griselda's mirror with mage hand and descend the stairs, making for the door. There you see Nubby slipping a big bottle of burton into your hamper. He seems surprised, which is nothing out of the ordinary. "Leaving so soon, m'lady?"
"Yes, I said I wouldn't be long. I see you have what I asked for, thank you. Do give mother my best wishes, hopefully she'll be pleased with the return of her mirror." She said sweetly as she gathered up the nets and basket, "be a dear Nubby and get the door for me please and I'll be on my way. Enjoy the ale." That said the Fairy departs..
"Sadly, I must decline your offer of a stroll, Miss. For I have to stay here and alert as my friend should soon be approaching. Perhaps another time when we can spend an afternoon enjoying the swamp."
Mugwort definitely feels like staying up the tree is the wiser option for himself at the moment. Still, until his 'speak' spell runs out (10 minutes), he will idlely chatter to the interesting creature below.
Mender would find his foot taping and his rod moving to the beat of the goliaths song as he whipped the weapon free from the dragonborn. "Stop attacking now!... You messed up our good time!... We were having a ball!.." he would sing along with Kaelroc before casting hold person on both the dragonborn and the old man.
Mender thrusts his hands forward, causing a tendril of mist to slither up the nasal orifices of the old man and dragonborn. The man shakes his head vigorously and is able to shrug off the effect, but his assailant freezes on the spot, toothy maw hanging open and clawed hands splayed aggressively. The old man then scrambles around to the opposite end of the wagon, ducking down and covering his head with his hands.
~~
Mugwort...
The flower creature verbally accepts your decision, but seems to become more and more unable to hide her frustration as you remain content up the tree. After several minutes of banter she scurries off in a huff, complaining about how 'impolite and inconsiderate' goblins can be! It is another good half-an-hour before Mimzy finally returns...
~~
Mimzy...
Nubby says "yer wish is my command!" and recites the arcane password - set this time to 'Oracle of Delphi', a name which is unfamiliar to you. The door creaks open revealing the dark, cavernous passage beyond. As you depart, the dwarf adds with a semi-toothless grin "be safe, Mimzy, and remember - never trust ye a wizard with a cockatrice!" before vanishing in a puff of smoke. You do not recall this queer old adage, but... Nubbs is known for sayings which are unconventional. Without going into detail on your return journey, which takes around fifteen minutes, you may reconvene with Mugwort.
Mimzy nods at the redcap and replies just before he vanishes in a puff of smoke, "to be sure but remember that though a cockatrice's gaze can kill, that a wizard's treachery can be even more deadly." Without delay the Fairy flies back to Mugwort to find the Goblin still up in the tree, "so what gossip have the leaves be whispering to you?"she questioned him teasingly as she tossed him one of the two nets, she had draped over one shoulder. The other net and the picnic basic she'd already placed within her bag of holding. "Shall we head off then and try to catch up to our companions?" She asked sweetly as she climbed on to the back the of broom just behind her Goblin bohunk and wrapped her arms tightly around him. Giving him a traditional Goblin kiss of greetings by lightly sniffing just behind one ear and then the other. "Griselda wasn't even at home but I suspect something is afoot back at the house but with mother, something is always afoot so it really doesn't matter. If we need to stop and camp for the night somewhere along the way, I brought along some extra food and a bottle of mother's finest ale."
Kaelroc unrelentlessly continues to slash at the Dragonborn. Uncertain or uncaring that his target is unable to move. Delivering two, very hard, lashes.
Mender would have moved forward to collect the dragonborns dangerous looking weapon. After clutching it tightly in his free hand he would work to drag it away from the paralyzed enemy. "I have his weapon!"The kobold would exclaim, while leaving a line in the dirt from the blade dug into the soft ground. Once he had the weapon he would finally look up to see Kaelroc's continued assault on the green attacker. His eyes would go wide in the dark as he watched the goliath tear into the paralyzed foe.
As the kobold drags the scimitar out of the mud, he looks up to see Kaelroc deliver two more crippling strikes. The dragonborn recoils at each, jerking left then right… with a final groan, his lifeless body collapses to the ground, a bleeding mound of flesh and scales. Mender’s own shudder catches him off guard as he sees a second side to this gentle giant, the violence he is capable of. The trail of arcane vapor created by hold person drifts off and dissipates like steam in the cool air. After a moment of stunned silence, the old man stands up, dusts himself off and coughs to gain your attention.
Shivers went up and down Mugwort's spine as Mimzy sniffing triggered his ear nerves. "Zee, I met the most unusual creature while I was in the trees," trying to keep himself and Mimzy distracted.
He will go on and give a very long recitation of the 'meeting' and descriptions and how it tried to get him to climb down and, "It had a tail like a dandelion and flowery bits on his head. I swore I had never seen one like it before but, it insisted 'they have seen me'... but they hide and 'look like' flowers so I never noticed."
He paused a moment before half twisting around on the broom, "I am pretty certain I would notice something like that... don't you think?"
Suddenly he felt a tiny set of fingers flick his ear as Mimzy tried to get Mugwort to focus on flying and not animal husbandry.
And so, they floated above the trees as the Darkness spread like a blanket over the swamp.
Mender would turn and look towards the man... anger flashing in his eyes "You owe us an explanation... who was that and who did they work for?.. And who in the halls are you?" The kobold would ask with a small frustrated grawl as he pointed his rod towards the old man. "We just killed that man for you... and we weren't looking for trouble.. so start talking because I can dig twonholes tonight just as easily as I can dig one.." The kobold would snarl... pointing his rod just past the man and casting mold earth.. causing the earth to churn behind him as soil rose up and creates a mound nearby.... leaving behind a 5ft deep hole behind the man..
Kaelroc looking at the dead Dragonborn pokes the body with his shield to ensure he is dead. Upon confirming the lifeless body he searches for anything telling of who, what, or anything else of interest.
Hey Mend - you think he has any food? Casually glancing at the old man - Elder, please answer my friend's questions.
As Kaelroc removes any items of interest from the Dragonborn he draws a small knife.
In a soft, loving voice. You have been bested in combat. May you forever continue the fight in your next life. May Uthgart's rage - find your heart.
The goliath reaches down and begins to cut and remove a tooth from the Dragonborn. He gently pulls a necklace from beneath his chainmail, adorned with teeth. He adds the Dragonborn's tooth and tucks the necklace away.
He stands and walks over to the wagon and leans against it facing the Old Man. Glancing into the wagon to determine if there is anything inside it and would offer knowledge of the old man's intent.
Mimzy is rather fascinated with the tale Mugwort's little creature, never recalling running across such a creature but who knows, it might be something new with swamp changing as it has been. "I imagine you would notice something like that but nature as you well know can be fickle and often comes with new things. But I rather think something is going on with the swamp, more so than usual. Perhaps your little creature is a result or just something that came through one of the portals."
As they fly onward Mimzy does what she can to assist Mugwort control the broom and navigate through the darkness...
By 'assist' I mean that is something come a roll is required then that can be considered Mimzy performing a 'help action' to increase Mugworts chances of success!
The goliath stoops down to collect a dragon tooth for his collection. It nestles nicely between a humanoid incisor and a large, jagged tooth which might have been cut from the maw of a shark or similar creature. Seeing nothing of immediate interest inside the wagon - which is mostly filled with empty sacs and wheat chaff - he leans against it, causing the old man to shuffle sideways.
The man, who looks to be in his late sixties or early seventies, retrieves a pipe from his pocket and begins to fill it with a pinch of different dried leaves. "Ahem. Thank you for aiding me" he mutters in a matter-of-fact tone, nodding respectfully to Mender. He hardly seems concerned by the kobold's threat, nor by the broken corpse laying just feet away.
"Why yes, thank you indeed! For... oh." Suddenly, his eyes cloud and brow furrows, as though he is attempting to recall something of great importance. He looks about, confused. "Wherewas it we met again - in Anglor, or someplace to the West? I'm afraid I can be quite forgetful." As he retrieves a flint and steel to light his pipe, you find yourselves unsure of how to respond to this development. Surely, he cannot have forgotten what just took place...

Mugwort and Mimzy...
As you talk and zoom along on the broom, more and more stars begin to dot the sky. It is a beautiful night indeed. Still, your navigation will be hindered by the dense foliage until you exit the forest... in the best case scenario, to catch up with your companions will take five hours of flight (factoring in the increased speed of the broom). Mugwort, roll a DC 15 survival check with advantage granted by Mimzy's help - each 5 below the threshold will add an additional hour to your journey.
"Me rifle through mother's things, perish the thought!" Mimzy said with a smirk. "But I'll keep your suggestion under advisement. Griselda hasn't acquired any new nicknacks by chance has she? Then I wouldn't have rifle."

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Perception: 17
Investigation: 15
Kaelroc unleashes his fury at a speed unexpected for a giant... and begins to... sing. (OOC: Queen Don't Stop Me Now)
Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good… time
I feel…
The first crack of his whip misses the dragonborn… and he immediately loads for another.
And your world I'll turn it inside out, yeah!
As Kaelroc’s second crack thunders - lashing the dragonborn. Goading him through confusion as he is forced to focus on the goliath.
I'm floating around in swampy land!
Kaelroc loads for another battery (Action Surge)
So, DON'T - stop - me now...!
Don't stop me
Kaelroc’s third crack hits the hand of the Dragonborn forcing him to drop his scimitar.
'Cause I'm having a good time, having a good time
A fourth crack - narrowly missing, the Goliath still showing plenty of steam.
Mimzy not sure where the sounds had come from just shrugs and doesn't worry I'll about it or concern herself further instead concentrates on returning the hand mirror exactly where she found.
