Kaelroc has restarted the fire to the best of his ability and does some light push-ups and situps to tire himself out a little.
Collecting his thoughts and allowing his mind to wander:
Why was dragonborn so hostile towards the Selaphiel. Hostile towards Mender and himself. What was in that tobacco? Is Amber Crowe fair? and finally his thoughts drift towards Mender. - Is the little dragon kobold going to be okay? Is this his first feat of strength? Will the spirit pools make him stronger or take his magic away? How many kobolds sleep in that conch?
Bringing a blanket out of his bag - he covers the little conch that holds Mender to keep him warm. Sleep well little dragon.
As the evening continues to night he recounts the day's adventure - snacking slowly beside the fire. Keeping a watchful eye.
Mugwort settles the broom close to the ground; floating like a feather as he eases it in for the landing. Once the broom is secured into his bag of holding, he looks about the place, "Did we miss a party?" -- noting the churned up earth and wheel ruts in some boggy ground and the nice big campfire.
He will listen to whatever tale Kaelroc spins while pacing several feet outward from the campfire and tent in several directions. With a nod of his head, Mugwort will cast Plant Growth to make ring of accelerated plant growth and bracken about the camp site.
"So, we are now running an errand for a wandering swamp drifter? " He frowns... "I was really hoping to avoid Anglor, but it seems like we are drawn in against any better judgment." He will talk over options with the others until his face nearly splits in two from a poorly hidden, giant sleepy headed yawn. "Maybe we can talk about this over breakfast after some sleep?"
Taking a final circular stroll for a final inspection of the plant growth results -- unless more is needed of him -- Mugwort will find a bit of moss and curl up to take a long rest.
oooo... almost forgot... Mugwort will do his 'going to bed' trick of making Goodberry since the berries 'last' for 24 hrs, this gives everyone a morning berry boost for their day.

...oh yea and if you could make that fresh grave over there look less fresh...
Mimzy hops off the broom and pulls out the picnic basket and asks if anyone wants a midnight snack and some Haggish Ale before going to bed. Looking the camp over and adding, "you boys look like you had an uneventful time of it?"
Kaelroc smiling at the basket of food. Absolutely ready for food and ale! Eventful would be an understatement! I don't know what side we were on, but we won! Showing a necklace made of teeth to Mimzy. The Dragonborn was not quick enough. Mender has magical hands! he explains to the fairy as he continues to eat and drink. Recounting as much as he can remember. Mender probably will remember more but he said he needs some alone time. I put a blanket on his shell so he wouldn't get cold. Gesturing towards the tent.
as Mugwort and Mimzy arrive at the campsite and his companions begin discussing the day, about fifteen minutes would pass by before Mender emerged from the tent. "Hey, I'm glad you made it back... was your mom mad about the mirror?" The kobold would ask as he looked from Mugwort to Mimzy. "We... had something happen this evening... and I also wanted to to talk more about my time with the quicklings..."Mender would take a few deep breaths and move towards the newly rekindled fire. After plopping down in the grass he would stare hard towards the flames. "Mimzy... I think your mom lied to me." He would slowly turn his head and lock eyes with mimzy. "she gave me a pendant and told me that it was magical and that it would alert me when we were near spirit pools.." The kobold would pull out the necklace from inside his leather jacket and hold it out for them to see. "The quickling showed me a spirit pool back at their village. I stood right next to it and the necklace didn't do anything. Just a little bit ago inside my shell, I looked over the pendant and I don't believe it is magical at all... Why would she lie to me about that? If she didn't want to help, she could have just done nothing. This feels like she is trying to prevent us from finding the spirit pool we need..."he would ask as he tossed the pendant to her. giving her time to inspect it herself to see if it is magical.
"Also... their spirit pool appeared to be corrupted... and I assume that whatever is occupying Doltryp's spirit pool is somehow corrupting their pool as well. They gave me a sending stone so that I can communicate with them and let them know if we find out what is causing the corruption... I... Kind of said that we would be their champions and help destroy whatever is causing the corruption..."Mender would pause for a moment, taking off his hat and rolling it in his hands. "Then after traveling here and setting up camp, we killed a guy. I buried him over there.."He would point towards the dirt without looking away from the fire. "An old man owed a large dragon man money. The dragon man looked a lot like me, just bigger. The dragon man tried to kill the old man because the old man wouldn't give him the money he owed. Well I tried to talk to them and see if we could find a solution... but the dragon man attacked the old man again. I was able to hold the attacker in place... and took his weapon from him. While I was taking the attackers weapon, Kaelroc killed the unarmed paralyzed dragon man."Mender would take a hand and scratch the back of his head. "Afterwards, we discovered that the old man was smoking something that was destroying his mind... and he had the money that the dragon man was after, but had simply forgotten that he was on his way to deliver it... All we needed a minute to get the money from the old man and give it to the dragon man... any they would both be alive now"Mender would let out another sigh and looked up towards the stars... "The old guy was not hurt... I don't know where he went. He was in really rough shape though. Judging by how sickly he looked, He could have wandered off and died already somewhere."Mender would look up from the fire and towards his companions. So that was the first time I have killed anyone... and I don't even know that it was justified... it wasn't like killing those dead hand things.. he was like me. We spoke to them and for all we know they were just doing their job trying to collect a payment. I guess I am just having a hard time with it..."
Kaelroc looks at Mender and begins to talk during a quiet moment.
Little dragon, you may look like him but you are not him. You are alive and he is not. His sword may have been struck from his hand - but his breath and mind still chambered his desire to fight. His body may have stopped moving, but his will to hurt others was not. He took that elder for granted - the possible debt owed irrelevant. He accepted the consequences by not yielding his sword when told. He overestimated his own speed and was defeated before his next choice - whether he continued to fight, flee, or yield. A fate we must all accept if Uthgardt commands. He died with honor, one in which I also hope for. If our choice was wrong, The Spirits will have us repent upon the Spirit Mounds.
I may not always be around you little dragon. If you are ever in a fight and your words have failed you - do not stop until your last breath or theirs. For if you fail - you will sleep with one eye open awaiting your enemies next move.
Griselda, my love, her vision is beyond what I can imagine. I hope to fulfill her desires but sometimes they are beyond my reach. I do not know what powers come from these spirit pools… but if they are like our Spirit Mounds - their powers may be immense - capable of healing or destruction.
"Thanks Kaelroc." The kobold would say with a smile. "The dragon man didn't seem like a very nice guy. he had this gorrote wire on him and this crumpled letter." He would pull the letter from his pocket and hand it to the goliath. "it is written in a way that doesn't make any sense to me... but I get the feeling he had killed people in the past... so maybe by killing him we saved others... who knows." Mender's stomach would let out a small grumble as the smell of the food brought by Mimzy and Mugwort fill his nostrils. "OH hey, I can make us some food and water too if needed... it lasts for a day so we can eat the left overs tomorrow if we want. We might be able to save some of the goodies you brought if it will stay good for a while." He would say with a smile as he stood up and moved to investigate the basket of food.
Mimzy breaks out the food and ale to share with her companions as she looks with something akin to amusement at the necklace made of teeth Kaelroc and glances over to Mender as she tells the Goliath, "Were it but a necklace of pearls,"she says with a giggle.
Then the Fairy turns her full attention to Mender in response to his words about her mother. Mimzy just shakes her head, "yeah, about that. I probably should have mentioned it before... that both Griselda and I have an oh so slight difficulty with the truth. We both... you might say have a tendency to view it as subjective... with room for interpretation. So yeah, it doesn't really surprise me. It's sort of a Haggish thing if you know what I mean. It can be... and most likely probably is on purpose just to prevent you from finding the specific pool you're looking for. That sounds like mother, alright! Why else would she let Mugwort of all people borrow her broom if not to get us out of her hair for a while?"There was absolutely no surprise whatever-so-ever in the tone of Mimzy's voice as she spoke in a rather matter of fact way. "Don't take it personal, that's just how mother is with everyone, it's a Haggish thing!"
Then when Mender suddenly tossed the pendant towards her Mimzy about jumped out of her skin to dodge it allowing it fall to the ground untouched. "W-T-F, by Beelzebub's hairy-stones! Are you just not getting what I've been trying to tell you? Don't just throw possible magical objects at me like that! The ones you don't know anything about... you know... where you don't know where they have been is bad enough. But something mother has given you, well that's just asking for trouble... touching and handling them all willy nilly!!!"
Mimzy just stood there, not moving to pick up the necklace but instead as an Eldritch Adept the Fairy she uses her Eldritch Sight to Detect Magic at will as she looks down at it from a safe distance.
Note:@badbovine, let me know what Mimzy sees in a DM, as to what the Fairy sees with her spell. The truth is elusive sometimes and may need to be massaged a bit before she reveals anything. If it's not magical then she will just say so!
When Mimzy chastises Mender for tossing the necklace, the kobold would fire back quickly with a look of surprise and frustration. "Hey! I've been wearing it around my neck since the moment we left your house! if it had the potential to be so dangerous that you're afraid to touch it... Don't you think you should have given me a warning before now?!" He would exclaim before grabbing a treat from the basket and quickly gnawing on it with his pointy teeth.
Mimzy shrugs, "and if I had, would you have even believed me? Besides, when I saw you, you already had it on! If there was any damage or curse, it was already done. Why tell you after the fact and just get you all worked up and worried about it. Kinda like you are right now. You should have gotten a clue when it came to that stupid hand mirror. You didn't see me touching it either did you, or looking into it? No, you only saw me interacting with it using my mage hand and keeping it inside my bag of holding. Hags are complicated, and daughters of Hags even more so. You just have to look at things from a different perspective. Not everything is spelled out and wrapped in a pretty pink bow... nothing is just black and white... true and false... you know. It is what it is." She grinned...
Mender opened his mouth mid bite causing bits of food to fall to the ground. the look on his face showed that he badly wanted to continue arguing but instead he simply shook his head and took another treat from the basket.
As you discuss the events of the last two days over a hearty meal, the moon rises ever-higher in the sky. The reeds' rustling and cicadas' chirping creates a pleasant ambience. Worn out by this afternoon's excursions, each of you eventually succumbs to sleep, feeling quite numbed by the ale and shielded by Mugwort's plant growth enclosure. It has not been long since each of you crossed paths, though much has transpired... and you are hoping for an uneventful night's rest.
Who, if anyone, decides to take first watch?

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Mimzy, her detect magic kicking in stared at the necklace on the ground and started to laugh, "it's not magical in the least. Mugwort has more magic in his earwax than that thing does." Then with a Haggish grin, the Fairy added, "trust me!" But still made no move to pick it up and instead started to look around for nice tree nearby with branches she could attach her net to as a make-shift net-platform for the night, what she refers to as her Fairy nest. In a swamp, the last place she wants to sleep in on the ground.
Mender would scoop up the pendant from the ground and put it back around his neck once Mimzy said it was safe. He would then head into the tent and curl up into a tight ball. He had already used his shell today so he would have to sleep in the tent with Kaelroc. He would be happy to take 3rd watch.
"Good night Mender, and your welcome by the way, always happy to assist a friend and traveling companion."The Fairy called out in her honey-sweet sing song voice. Once the net was set up Mimzy promptly got serious about watch duty even though it was way past her usual bedtime so she was doing her best to stay awake.
