(Sorry for that acting too fast, i got somehow confused, also for some reason i thought only my weapons were stuck to mimic. Anyway glad it worked out, and thank you for being focused DM and not letting me go twice :D)
After Gor deals the finishing blow to Mimic, Biezdar pulls away as soon as he feels the mimics glue is getting loose. "That was rather weird. I mean the talking lion-porcupine with wings was weird i guess. But that was bizarre. Sticky gooey barrel looking set of teeth. Glad to be able to meet such creatures with a good and reliable company. Hmm i hope that would settle the matter of panic within that place and the kings." (and Biezdar will address the gnomes which were accompanying the group): "Fellas, i hope you get a good look at that, you will vouch for what happened here right?
Biezdar proceeds to collect his weapons.

The gnome nods. "Shapeshifter found and eliminated."
You head back to report to the King, the gnome in toe to back up your story. The king is still not totally convinced that you aren't just shapeshifters trying to get his guard down. I need a persuasion check with advantage from someone. (with a lower dc if you give a compelling argument. Becuase why not)
“Sire, upon its demise, the creature loses its form and is reduced to some kind of primordial ooze. Look, Majesty. You can still see its “leavings” on Gor’s maul. The shifter is quite dead.”
You hear a pause, and then the door unlocks and opens. You see two gnomes, both wearing a jagged metal crown and a patchwork cloak. One of them is glued to a chair however. After opening the door, and confirming that there is slime on the maul, and you all look like you have recently been in a fight, he goes over, pulls a vial out of his pocket and pours it over the glue. The second king stands up and jumps for joy. "As promised, you may get two wonders." and they pull a chest out from under the bed, open it and pull out a hat of wizardry and a wand of pyrotechnics. They then leave the bedroom and head towards the throne room. "That feels much better. I am glad he was right, but I still wish I wasn't glued there" the second king says in passing to you all.
Quin is practically floating on youthful exuberance as he bounces along with the gang. He says nothing but his feelings are apperant from the wide grin that remains plastered on his face until long after the group has left the gnome cavern
Kosef turns to leave, eager to get away from the home of the mimic, but then starts. "Wait, we actually came here for some help. The dragon, i'm sure you've noticed it terrorising the local area. Did you have anything we could use against it. I noticed that you have some incredible tinkerers here. Would they by any chance be able to fashion some sort of tool or weapon we could use against the dragon."

"What now Biezdar? Who do we help next or how do we go on the offensive? Should we make camp? Man this is fun! Hey can we shoot off one of those uh....piyo...pl.. ppyrotechnics things?" the young rouge exuberantly asks the knight.
"Oah, good work brothers." Gor adds after they receive their gifts from the Gnome Kings. "Hard fought and hard earned, but we have given the gift of blood to Lodis and we have been rewarded well for our endeavors. We should all be proud!"
He uses one fist to thump his chest, then assesses the time of day and their location.
"I am always ready for an offensive, brother Jayson, but against what? We can give our blood to Lodis through the dragon, but I seriously doubt we are capable of giving its blood, oah. The Dwarves did seem to need more help. Oh, and there was another job, yes? So we helped the midwife, the Dwarves, the cute little Gnomes... What was the other mission?"
Biezdar, does not feel confident when asked about what to do next. He was tasked to be of aid to the Phandalin, but he does not sees himself as a leader.
"Hmm i could use some rest. so camping seems nice. But i would rather be cautious about shooting these pyrotechs outside in the open, it might attract the dragon... which may be useful when we want to do it. But right now i think we should listen to Gor's experience and do not engage the dragon yet. We did gain something here, and there might be other places which could provide some kind of upper hand against the dragon in the future. I think we should explore these possibilities and use as much time as possible to prepare ourselves."

Quin shudders a bit as he remembers his traumatic experience with the worms. "Oh yeah... I suppose we should since we gave our word." the excitement that was present moments ago cools a bit with the thought of going back to the cavern.
You start to head out, passing through the inventors workshop. They are still discussing options to cure the King's madness when they see you "How goes your search for a cure?" "Any better than ours?"
Upon hearing that the shapechanger was real, and that with it gone, the king is calm and rational again, they hold true to their word, and go and unlock a nearby room (the corridor south you didn't go down near the throne room/kings chamber), coming out with two items, a clockwork amulet and a Pole of collapsing, explaining how both work.
From the sound of it, you will be heading back to the dwarves now. Based on the time spent with the gnomes, you would arrive at the dwarves shortly before sunset. While travelling, you see what you imagine must be the dragon flying in the distance, based on the size of it. It isn't flying towards you though, it appears to be maybe north of Phandalin from what you can tell at a distance.
As the party travels to the dwarf dig site all take turns looking over their newly acquired items. Quin becomes particularly interested in the pole. Using it to vault himself along at times, twirling it about himself at other. "Say, would anyone object to me holding on to this? " asks Quin as he stop his testing and drinks some water.
The bard hopes the group may uncover something additional in the dwarven catacombs that can help deal with the dragon. Maybe the dwarves would allow them to borrow the item on condition it be returned once the threat is nullified.
Here is the map. Due to what I believe is bad design, the secret doors are impossible to hide even on the player version of the map, therefore, I am trusting you to not let the meta knowledge influence you. Any secret door you have discovered has the full "S" visible (for now, just the north and south of the altar room that haven't been explored). Also, the orange dot is the location of your second battle.
The dwarves are happy to see you "Welcome back. We have not been attacked since you left, but we also haven't opened the hidden doors just in case. We did find a hidden cache in one of the pillars with some gems in. We are happy to throw some of them on top of the sending stones as payment for your help. As well as splitting anything else discovered while you are here. Which I think is only fair it goes both ways. We will give you half of anything we find, you give us half of anything you find. In the interest of fairness, we found 15 gems. So we would give you 7."
Quin looks at the others and nods his head in support of the idea but he waits for Biezdar to make the final call on whether or not they take the deal.

All other barrels in the room are ordinary. None of you have any idea how mimics come into existence, reproduction or otherwise
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)

Gor holds his maul out, nodding enthusiastically.
"Oah, we sledged it! No one sledges like us! Just ask the midwife! She has seen what our sledgings do firsthand!"

Jayson bows.
”We, and Phandalin, thank Your Majesties for your kind assistance. You have helped safeguard the region today. We bid you good day.”
He turns to the group.
”Let’s get out of here before something else goes sideways on us. Time to go on the offensive, I think.”
