Avery slices and kills his Cultist, while Liarin's claws rip into her's. The Cultists battle on, looking to hold you back for as long as possible, more than happy to sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the cult.

The cultist strikes Xanrym again, and since he hasn't fallen yet, Xanrym is forced to continue attacking him while keeping an eye on the door to the south where Blayze went. He's counting the seconds she's been gone, wondering how far away "Jarvis" is and how many reinforcements they'll bring.
Movement: If his first attack kills the cultist, Xanrym moves to close distance with the cultist fighting Liarin-bear and makes his off-hand attack against that cultist. And Xanrym's Cultist goes down as well. Now only the one attacking the Liarin bear remains. He fights the losing battle in grim determination, still trying to buy time for Blayze.
Avery's sword brings down the last cultist, the raging battle ends as quickly as it started. But with Blayze escaped, you can't be sure when reinforcements will arrive to kill you all.
There are three other exits to this room. To the west you here the dripping of water and splashing of waves. To the east is a very well used corridor reinforced by wooden beams. To the south, the exit Blayze left through, you see the tunnel open up into a massive chamber.
Toska stays at the back of the party with Whiskers and asks, "What do we do now?" Deferring to your expertise when it comes to dungeon delving.
You hear sounds of people milling around further down the corridor, lot's of them. Although you do note there is a passage leading off the well used one heading north that doesn't seem to be very well travelled.
Avery states-"We need to find the mayor and anyone else being held quickly, before she comes back with help."
Seeing the three separate tunnels leading away and out of sight, Xanrym says, "I was expecting something more like a 'nest' for the naga with maybe a few rooms around it for her guards and prisoners. But this feels bigger. Much bigger, like the cult has created an entire subterranean temple complex."
Xanrym glances at the tunnels leading east and west and says, "The first question is whether we should quickly heal and try to confront Blayze and Jarvis and their reinforcements now, as they come. There may be time to spread caltrops and create some illusion, but that will only create a moment's confusion. If we want to avoid them, we either need to retreat to the swamp or to choose one of these other two tunnels, hoping that there's nothing worse there and that it takes them time to find us."
Xanrym takes his lantern and goes to the tunnel that leads west. He peers down it and listens. There was the sound of water (lake an underground pool?), but does there seem to be any other activity or sounds of a living creature? Perception18

"Yes, bigger and a lot more cultists here than I anticipated," Theldrin frowns. "Perhaps we should press the attack while we still have some element of surprise, if in fact we still do..."

While the party quickly evaluates their options, Xanrym sheathes his swords, wincing at his bruises. He doesn't think that he has time to consume a pile of Liarin's goodberries, and he takes the healing potion from his pouch and drinks it.

Xanrym asks Toska, "Does St. Cuthbert also bless you with any healing powers? Avery took a few solid hits in that last fight, and even if he gets a Second Wind, I'd feel better if he weren't actively bleeding when we face down these so-called 'Naga's Teeth', the leaders among the cultists."
Xanrym loads a bolt in his crossbow. He holds his lantern in one hand and his crossbow in the other, ready to follow Liarin-bear and Avery. He will try to stay close to Avery so that he can cast Heroism just before their next fight starts.
