(OOC: Do we need to deal with the assassins? Also based on my understanding we were going with the fact Syllen failed his Save but he had a chance to use his ability to make it if he rolled a 3+ on a d6. I rolled a 1 so he did not pass his save.)
Khessa escorts everyone to the Dripstone Inn, then she is perfectly willing to follow Rethos to the Temple of Berei for a one-on-one talk — but she forces him to have his wounds checked first (he's just been brought back from the brink of death...). [[ OOC: Basically, Khessa forces Rethos to take a Short Rest—and she takes one herself. Everything that has happened should have amply proven that Pedestal is no place to wander around in less than optimal conditions. ]]
After that, the blonde arcane warrior is quite ready to follow Rethos and hear everything from him —in fact, she's eager to!
Alright cool thanks for the update on Syllen. I'd say it takes some study to work out the deal with Lycanthropy, which you (or someone else) can do once the current quest is over. For the time being, it's really important Syllen does not fall to 0hp. As for the assassins, you find the barrels you left them in open and the assassins gone.
As for Khessa, I think we'll deal with her one-on-one in a private chat. She can then choose to share information if she wants to. Otherwise we'll say that the rest of you see Khessa leave with Rethos and comes back a few hours later on her own. The question still remains: Will you take a Long Rest/make other preparations or head straight to the Spike after Khessa get's back. I suppose you can all take a Short Rest if Khessa is going with Rethos.
I think we can say Bruthwol would sell you that Diamond. And he would definitely accept some money from you, although he’s also receiving compensation from Es Sarch.
As for the assassins, you find the barrels you left them in open and the assassins gone.
Xanrym is disappointed not to have the opportunity to press Regrak for information about Fadheela, but he's not surprised since the "conversation" with the Inheritors took longer than he expected. We spent over an hour waiting for them to arrive. Then there was an hour of negotiations before the fight, and I'm sure that it took a little while to finish up with Rethos, Bruthwol, etc.

Xanrym did not use that many spells himself yet today, but he knows that both Syllen and especially Theldrin cast a bunch of powerful spells to help get The Company through the fight. After the fight with Regrak's assassins and then the fight with Bloobbloum and Lord Vuglomax, he was thinking that it would be better to spend the night at the Dripstone Inn and then go to the Necromancer's Spike first thing in the "morning."
On the other hand, waiting a day gives Fadheela more time. More time to hear about The Company from Regrak. More time to get rid of the Forgotten King's bones. More time to prepare some nasty surprise for The Company.
On balance, Xanrym prefers to take a Long Rest and process the day's events before they head to the Necromancer's Spike. He feels the time pressure, but he fears what would happen if they go to the Necromancer's Spike in their current state. Fadheela could even confront them immediately while they're still very low on resources, especially if they have to fight before they can even get inside.
Since The Company has now found some treasure, Xanrym would like to pay Syllen to start make him a scroll of Thunderwave. If there's enough time to start this evening, perhaps Syllen could finish it before they leave for the Necromancer's Spike in the morning.
If The Company is going to stay at the Dripstone Inn overnight, then while Khessa goes to the Temple of Berei with Rethos, Xanrym proposes a brief expedition into the city to see whether they can find any Planguelost. He still wants to get a better sense of how powerful the Planguelost are since he expects to encounter some in the Necromancer's Spike itself. (Assuming that the legends are correct, and the disaster of the Necromancer's Spike is the cause of the plague that infects the Plaguelost.)
Theldrin considers the large amount of gold Es Sarch is already paying to Bruthwol and the fact that the party is low on resources at the moment, and spending money with Bruthwol... he decides to wait for now to offer any additional compensation. He feels a merchant bond with Bruthwol and a bit guilty about the crates of merchandise that surely took some damage from his Fireball, but decides that with the raid on the Spike coming up, he needs to also consider the other members of the Company potentially needing to make purchases.

[[Coriana took a short rest while Khessa was gone. She is ready to go for the spike, but would gain some flexibility with a long rest.]]

Syllen is good with only taking a short rest. When Khessa is away Donaar needs to get a diamond worth 50+ gold if possible.
(OOC: when we leveled up I switched my wizard spell but forgot to look if I needed anything to cast it.)
Theldrin feels it's important to offer Bruthwol some compensation if any of his merchandise was damaged.
(OOC: definitely would want to have a Long Rest before heading to the spike, used a lot of spell slots in those 2 battles)

Theldrin will try to get a sense of what Bruthwol and Es Sarch think would be fair as far as compensation.
Theldrin Insight: 16
Theldrin gets the feeling to make this whole thing worthwhile, Es Sarch would be paying Bruthwol upwards of 2000gp
Avery would like to inquire if Bruthwol has any range weapons like a bow and arrows

Coriana, seeing that Xanrym won't drop the crazy idea, will accompany him if he goes out trying to get infected.

Anyway, Khessa before following Rethos spenda HDs to recover the 15 HPs she is missing.
Fighter's HD: 11
Wizard's HD: 4
Ok, she's at full health now, fine. Probably it was not important, but just in case...
