Xanrym was expecting a trap or something in the room, he wasn't expecting creatures to emerge from the other mirrors. He is slow to react to these new monsters. His magic is most effective against people and creatures, but he's not sure whether his spells would work against undead and weird magical constructs that might not have any real intelligence of their own. He doesn't know whether he can really charm or frighten such things. At first, he thinks that the creatures that emerged from the mirrors might be especially vulnerable to being crushed or shattered, but then he sees that Asclepius does not have much of an effect on the Mirror Shade.
As his companions rush to attack, Xanrym finally decides what to do. He calls out inspiration to Coriana: "A mere mirror monster is no match for you, Coriana!" Then he casts a spell before moving back from the mirror -- just in case more of the things are about to emerge into the room!
As he approaches Theldrinand Syllen, he suggests, "Perhaps these spiders of glass could be shattered by a crash of thunder?"
If the Mirror Shade is not hidden and is Grappled by Ascelpius, then Xanrym will cast Create Bonfire on the Mirror Shade's square (in front of the westernmost mirror).
If the Mirror Shade is hidden, then Xanrym will attempt to debuff the injured Glass Spider's attack with Vicious Mockery. He's hoping that even if it's immune to psychic damage, perhaps the magic will still hinder its attacks.
Movement: After he acts, Xanrym backs away from the mirror and into the middle of the room. Bonus Action: Grant [bardic inspiration](https://dndbeyond.com/classes/2190876-bard#BardicInspiration-10292177) to Coriana. Once within the next 1 hour when Coriana fails a D20 Test, she can roll a 1d8 and add the number rolled to the d20, possibly turning failure into a success. Because of his Unfailing Inspiration, if the roll still fails, she gets to keep the bardic inspiration. Action: Cast spell (as described above). Either Create Bonfire on the Mirror Shade's square, DC 17 DEX saving throw or take damage: 7 (fire) Or Vicious Mockery on the injured Glass Spider, WIS 17 save or target takes 8 (psychic) damage and has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn. Free Action: Talking
(OOC: Note that Khessadoes not currently have Bardic Inspiration. The Company took a Short Rest after the last encounter. Therefore, the Bardic Inspiration expired because at least 1 hour has now passed since Xanrym granted it to her.)
Khessa's sword goes to chop into the Shade, but the radiant energy bounces right off the apparition and she let's out a glassy laugh, clearly completely unaffected (The Mirror Shade seems ok due to it's Resistances and Immunities). Xanrym's bonfire also seems somewhat ineffective against the shade.
The Glass Spiders both use their Bonus Actions to reform back into the mirrors behind them, then mirror's A and B shatter and reform into the same two spiders. Now in your back ranks, the two spiders rush toward Theldrin and Xanrym:
Bite against Theldrin Attack: 24 Damage: 6 Piercing and 7 Poison. If dropped to 0 hp, he becomes Stable, Poisoned, and Paralyzed.
Bite against Theldrin Attack: 24 Damage: 9 Piercing and 11 Poison. If dropped to 0 hp, he becomes Stable, Poisoned, and Paralyzed.
Bite against Xanrym Attack: 16 Damage: 6 Piercing and 6 Poison. If dropped to 0 hp, he becomes Stable, Poisoned, and Paralyzed.
Bite against Xanrym Attack: 12 Damage: 10 Piercing and 11 Poison. If dropped to 0 hp, he becomes Stable, Poisoned, and Paralyzed.
Theldrin, Syllen, Avery, and Coriana are up. Khessa and Coriana are in melee with the Mirror Shade, while the Glass Spider's assault your back ranks.

Xanrym is glad that he backed away from the mirror, but one of the glass spiders attacks him anyway. Just as it reaches him, Xanrym makes a gesture and invokes a magical ward to Shield himself from its attack. As the strange fangs that look like shards of glass gnash uselessly against the magical barrier, Xanrym exclaims: "Spiders! Why does it always have to be spiders?!"
Reaction: Cast spell (1 use / day via Magic Initiate) Shield Reaction taken when hit by an attack (the spider's first bite). Until the start of Xanrym's next turn, he has a +5 bonus to AC (that is, AC 21) and takes no damage from magic missile.
Concentration: Create Bonfire A creature must make a DC 17 DEX saving throw when it moves into the bonfire’s space for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there. On failure, the creature takes damage: 2 (fire).
Coriana focuses on taking down the mirror shade, summoning a tentacle to help. Main Scimitar 1/2: AC 10; 9 necrotic. Main Scimitar 2/2: AC 11; 13 necrotic. Off-hand Scim: AC 27(Crit, Her. Insp.); 14 necrotic. Tentacle: AC 19(Bardic); 9 cold.
Asclepius bite: AC 9; 11 piercing.

Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards. DM - The Old Keep
(OOC: Note - Bardic Inspiration is probably not needed here if the original attack roll of 15 is not a hit. I'm pretty sure that Asclepius scored a hit with a 14 in the first round. Of course, if Asclepius hit, I guess you could apply that Bardic Inspiration roll to one of Coriana's attacks.)
Theldrin nods, taking a cue from Xanrym's suggestion, as he intends to focus on the two glass spiders with Thunderwave.
But the glass spider's attacks hit hard and catch him off guard... he hastily aborts his plan, cursing as he moves quickly across the room to the corner by Asclepius. Catching his breath, he pulls a potion from the leather loop on the side of his back and drinks it down in one gulp. (Disengage and drinks a Potion of Healing as a Bonus Action)
Healing: 7
