Stealth: 14. Nithrissa is careful not to step forward onto the caltrops, just blocking their way into the room and swinging Avery's greatsword at any troglodytes whom she can reach. Attack #1 a troglodtye within her reach: 19, Damage: 6 (slashing)
In case that stealth roll was sufficient to be hidden, a second attack roll for Nithrissa's first attack: 24
Avery will initiate the ambush, striking the first Trog who enters the door, hoping to drop it enough to block the door and slow the rest of the Trogs-Attack Attack: 16 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. (redid the attack, forgot the buffs) Damage 12
Ok my forum is crapping out. I can't see those rolls anymore. When I posted them originally the only succesfull Save was Trog 2 from the Caltrops. So seeing as how that works in your favour i'm sure you won't mind if that's what I go with.
The Trogs all attack, 4 and 5 make bite and Claw attacks against Avery and Nithrissa, while 6 and 7 make Dart attacks against Theldrin and Liarin. The rest try to hit Avery and Nithrissa with Darts but are at Dissadvantage due to distance:
Trog 4 Bite against Avery Attack: 24 Damage: 8 Piercing. And Avery makes a DC 12 CON Save: 11 or is Poisoned.
Trog 4 Claw against Avery Attack: 17 Damage: 8 Slashing
Trog 5 Bite against Nithrissa Attack: 17 Damage: 3 Piercing. And Nithrissa makes a DC 12 CON Save: 12 or is Poisoned.
Trog 5 Claw against Nithrissa Attack: 12 Damage: 6 Slashing
Trog 6 Dart against Theldrin Attack: 7 Damage: 3 Piercing and 5 Poison
Trog 7 Dart against Liarin Attack: 6 Damage: 6 Piercing and 4 Poison
Trog 8 Dart against Avery Attack: 9 Damage: 4 Piercing and 3 Poison
Trog 9 Dart against Avery Attack: 17 Damage: 3 Piercing and 6 Poison
Trog 10 Dart against Nithrissa Attack: 14 Damage: 5 Piercing and 2 Poison
You all are up, the Trogs are coming on strong in the hallway. Yelling and making hissing noises. The stench is overwhelming.
Trog 8 Dart against Avery Attack: 9 Damage: 4 Piercing and 3 Poison Trog 9 Dart against Avery Attack: 17 Damage: 3 Piercing and 6 Poison Trog 10 Dart against Nithrissa Attack: 14 Damage: 5 Piercing and 2 Poison
(OOC: Don't forget that dart only has a short range of 20 ft. Any Troglodytes who are still north of the secret tunnel were out-of-range of Theldrin's spell, but they're also sat long range vs. anyone in the chapel since the tunnel itself is 20-ft long. Those last 3 attacks should roll those attacks with disadvantage.
Since Liarin and Theldrin are farther back in the room, even the attacks from Trogs 6 and 7 should be at disadvantage, but since they already missed, we don't have to worry about that this round.)
Trog 4 Bite against Avery Attack: 24 Damage: 8 Piercing. And Avery makes a DC 12 CON Save: 11 or is Poisoned.
(OOC: @Aaggie - don't forget that the Necklace of Adaptation gives Avery advantage on saving throws vs. being poisoned. So, I guess you should make a second roll to see whether Avery can avoid that condition.)
You all are up, the Trogs are coming on strong in the hallway. Yelling and making hissing noises. The stench is overwhelming.
(OOC: Despite being a magnet for attacks, I believe that Avery is still conscious and on his feet.
Nithrissastarted the trog fight with 41 HP. She sustained 3, 6, 7 dmg from three troglodyte attacks last round. With the 4 THP from Heroism, that takes her down to 29 HP.)
From his relative safety at the back of the room, Xanrym sees that Nithrissa and Avery are sitting ducks. He calls out, "Liarin, can you send Asclepius forward so that Avery and Nithrissa can get out of the doorway and those dart throwers?! And maybe you could force the troglodytes to enter the room single-file with a simple bonfire?" Then he raises his crossbow with a magical invocation, sending a radiant bolt at troglodyte #5. Then he opens the door behind him, checks that there's nothing coming from behind them (in the direction of Garath's necromancy workshop) and steps through the doorway, holding the door open with his body.
Movement: 10' further south, ending in the hallway just beyond the door. Action: Cast a spell True Strike with Attack troglodyte #5, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 18, Damage: 8 (radiant) Free Action: Talking. Item interaction: opening the door to the south.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Round 2: Nithrissa
Nithrissa, now bleeding from multiple wounds, nods. She talks to Avery as she swings the greatsword, "Your bard is right: we have to get out view of those dart-throwers." She attacks troglodyte 5 and, if she kills it with her first, then she attacks troglodyte 4. If she and Avery kill both of those troglodytes, she follows her own suggestion and moves to the right so that she can no longer be a target from troglodytes farther back in the tunnel.
Action: Multiattack with Greatsword Attack #1, troglodyte 5: 23, Damage: 12 (slashing) Attack #2, troglodyte 5 (or 4): 19, Damage: 7 (slashing) Movement: If she and Avery kill both troglodytes 4 and 5, she moves to the east, just to the side of the door. If the troglodytes can get through the caltrops, they can get into the room, but she hopes that the giant snake won't let them storm through, and she can fight the first ones who make it through. Free Action: Talking
Xanrym doesn't see anything coming from behind them when he open the door, for now. I'll also take the second roll from Avery to resist the Poison, which he does. Nithrissa's sword fells Trog 5.
Liarin sends Asclepius forward so it's right behind the two melee characters, then throws up the bonfire over the caltrops:
Trog 4 makes a DC 15 DEX Save: 11 taking 8 Fire Damage on a fail.

The hoard of bloodthirsty Trogs come stampeding down the tunnel with death in their eyes, Xanrym's bolt goes off and hits the first one in the chest.
We'll say that the Trogs are coming down the tunnel 2x2. That way two will step on the Caltrops at the same time:
Trog 1 DC 15 DEX Save: 17
Trog 2 DC 15 DEX Save: 20
Then Theldrin's Scorcher goes off and is able to hit the first 4 Trogs in the tunnel, while avoiding his allies:
Trog 1 DC 14 DEX Save: 16
Trog 2 DC 14 DEX Save: 15
Trog 3 DC 14 DEX Save: 9
Trog 4 DC 14 DEX Save: 7

With Avery and Nithrissa slashing into Trog 2 it also goes down. Now 3 and 4 are in the front they'll both make DC 15 DEX Saves for Caltrops:
Trog 3 DC 15 DEX Save: 18
Trog 4 DC 15 DEX Save: 11
Liarin fires off a Starry Wisp at Trog 3:
Attack: 15 Damage: 7 Radiant
And Trog 3 goes down. Trog 5 takes it's place while the rest are close behind, it makes a DEX Save for Caltrops:
Trog 5 DC 15 DEX Save: 9
The Trogs all attack, 4 and 5 make bite and Claw attacks against Avery and Nithrissa, while 6 and 7 make Dart attacks against Theldrin and Liarin. The rest try to hit Avery and Nithrissa with Darts but are at Dissadvantage due to distance:

Oh and Avery is Poisoned. So he makes attacks at Disadvantage.
(OOC: Don't forget that Avery has a Necklace of Adaptation, so he should make that saving throw w/ advantage.)

Yep those last three were at disadvantage
(OOC: Oh! Sorry. Maybe the tooltips were broken when I tried earlier, but I see it now. 👍)
Save vs poison: 18

Theldrin aims a Fire Bolt at Trog 6, in response to the dart it threw at him. He then moves towards the corner to the left side of the doorway.
Attack: 21 Damage: 4
