Coriana stabs into the Chondrith (AC 22 9 slashing), then softly says, “I’m sorry, Khessa” and disappears, reappearing 30 feet to the “southwest”.

For the next battle map, maybe @drumdigby can recreate Xanrym's token using the updated portrait on his character sheet. I was just using one of D&DB's default character images, but I spent a little time in Photoshop last weekend to make a custom image that shows him wearing his crocodile mask.
The blue background should also make the token easier to distinguish at small sizes.)

Oh, sorry forgot to point out: Khessa knows undercommon
(OOC: Oh? I didn't see it on the Khessa V2 character sheet. 🙂)
Oh, you'r right, my bad. I usually choose that language for Khessa, given her unpleasant history with the Drow - but I guess I didn't this time for some reason! Sorry.
Khessa slashes out with her Greatsword at the Choldrith, who recoils and is able to doge most of the damage, but not all due to Graze: 3 Slashing damage.
The spiders all attack their targets again, with the ones fighting Theldrin causing less damage due to their reduced numbers:
Swarm 1 Bites against Khessa Attack: 21 Damage: 8 Poison
Swarm 2 Bites against Coriana Attack: 13 Damage: 5 Poison
Swarm 3 Bites against Avery Attack: 5 Damage: 3 Poison
Swarm 4 Bites against Theldrin Attack: 15 Damage: 5 Poison
Group 5 and Group 1 are up. The spider's swarm all around you as the Choldrin fights to the death with Khessa and Coriana.
@DM: Oh, OK, if I understand correctly, you rolled Khessa's attack and it was a miss? Fine. Just one thing: Khessa still had the d6 Bardic Inspiration... Since her to hit roll of 12 probably barely missed... may I have used her Bardic Inspiration to try to turn it into a hit? She was very determined not to let the Choldrin live and finish off poor Coriana...
Khessa, realizing the desperate situation of her companion who is fighting alongside her, focuses entirely on the goal of eliminating the largest and most dangerous monster... and thus leaves time for some tenacious spiders of the swarm to finally find a way to her skin and bite.
The supernatural exaltation granted to her by Syllen in the morning allows her to ignore the annoyance, while her blue eyes, fixed on Choldrith, search in its defense for the opening to land the final blow!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Avery hits, buts still feels as though attacking with melee attacks feels less effective against a swarm of little beasts such as these. The spider swarm nest to Syllen gets an Opportunity Attack against him as he runs to heal Coriana. But then Syllen destroys them with the Luminous Arrow. This allows Theldrin to step away and fire his spell at the spiders attacking Avery.
Bite against Syllen: Attack: 7 Damage: 5 Poison.
Khessa actually was able to get a hit in on the Choldrith, but needed the help from Coriana to properly destroy the creature. The Choldrith sinks to the floor dead, gasping one final hiss as Coriana Misty Step's away.
Group 3 is now up. The Choldrith is dead, but the spider swarms now surround Khessa the ones attacking Avery still seem like a healthy number.
Xanrym is trying to keep an eye on the fight in the cabin and cheers when he sees that Khessa and Coriana have killed the horrible, hissing Choldrith. Unfortunately, there's still a big swarm of the spiders near him. He's not sure whether his single-target spells will be effective against a swarm, but he tries to imagine them as one creature, a swarm that acts with a single intent, like a school of fish that seem to behave as one, all turning seemingly at the same time. He focuses on the swarm between Avery and him and casts a spell, saying, "Itsy-bitsy spiders! Down comes the pain to rout the spiders -- OUT!"
Movement: None. Action: Cast spell Vicious Mockery on the spider swarm. Pass a WIS 14 save or they take damage, 2 (psychic), and have disadvantage on the next attack roll they makes before the end of their next turn. Free Action: None
Khessa smiles with satisfaction at seeing Coriana finish off the main enemy and understands well the choice of her gravely wounded ally to teleport away from trouble.
"I'm enough for you!" the blonde arcane warrior now focuses on the two swarms who seem determined to feast on her flesh. She temporarily removes a hand from the hilt of the Greatsword, mumbling a short chant, and lo and behold! A beam of crackling energy lances toward one of the two swarms, forming a sustained arc of lightning between her and the target!
The tall adventuress then once again wields her heavy blade with both hands, ready to combine steel and magic.
Khessa isn't too worried when the congested space causes her to miss - magical contact is still established and over time the swarm will gradually be fried by magical electric shocks.
The blonde arcane warrior then focuses on the other of the two swarms! Another short arcane chant makes the blade of her Greatsword sparkle as if it were light - and the blade of light quickly descends towards the second of the two swarms, the one not targeted by the previous With Bolt...
[[ OOC: Khessa uses Action Surge to act again and her Action is True Strike vs the second swarm, causing radiant damage, against which I hope the swarm will have no resistance. In the next rounds Khessa will use her Bonus Action to damage the first swarm. ]]

Syllen will run up to Coriana and cast cure wounds. After that he turns to the spider next to him and throws a Luminous Arrow at it.

If allowed (else ignore the rolls): Khessa's attack roll becomes 16 and if it becomes a hit damage is 11

Round 3
Khessa smiles with satisfaction at seeing Coriana finish off the main enemy and understands well the choice of her gravely wounded ally to teleport away from trouble.

Khessa's Witch Bolt Attack: 5 Damage: 11 (lightning)

Khessa's True Strike Greatsword Attack: 4 Damage: 10 (radiant)
[[ OOC: Oh, thanks dice gods! So... rolled a 2... then a 1... Next roll? A 0 perhaps? Not a -1, I hope... ]]
(You've had such bad luck with rolls. It can only get better surely.)
Spider Swarm DC 14 WIS Save: 9
(Does Graze work with True Strike?)
The Spider Swarms attack their targets, two on Khessa, one of Avery with Disadvantage:
Bite against Khessa Attack: 6 Damage: 5 Poison
Bite against Khessa Attack: 14 Damage: 7 Poison
Bite against Avery Attack: 8 Damage: 6 Poison
You all are up. The spiders are crawling all around you, trying to bring down the fighters of the group.
