You finish off the spider, its mandibles curling into a ball as it rolls back against the railing of the now sinking ship. A few moments later Sindhuk pulls up the rowboat along side the Emporer and waves vigorously, "Get the blazes in you fools!" Do you get on the boat?

(OOC: Did I miss something while I was out-of-town? It sounds like the DM is saying, "A sea monster is about to sink the Emperor of the Waves. Do you want to remain and go down with the ship? Or do you want to move over to the boat that can take you back to the Soul of Winter?" Is there any other reasonable option?)
Yes, but Xanrym will wait until after at least Khessa and Avery (with the chest), Syllen, and Theldrin to get aboard the boat first. He'll board the boat last, or if Coriana wants to be last, he'll take the penultimate turn in crossing over to the dwarves' boat. He knows that his Crocodile Mask enables him to swim and hold his breath, and he's not wearing heavy armor like some of the others.
Coriana will let Xanrym get on last, as she is wearing heavier armor anyway.

As Xanrym and Coriana get on the boat, Sindhuk immediately starts pulling away toward the Soul of Winter, "Did you get me anything?" He asks Syllen with a wry smile.
You look back at the Emperor of the Waves to see it's final moments. You now see the gigantic grey-blue tentacles that twist around the ship. They shlop out of the water, one by one, and eventually encase the ship fully and pull down onto something hard in the water. The ship groans as it is ripped in two. As the two sides of the ship are drawn into the water, you see a massive triangular head poke out of the water, a large black scar running down it's right side. At the site of the squid like monster, Coriana is filled with that familiar dread again. Somehow, this beast is connected to her, however distantly.
Xanrym sits at the back of the boat, watching the monstrous sea beast with a mixture of awe and fear. He hopes that it's satisfied with the Emperor of the Waves and does not pursue the boat back, too! He keeps his spear ready, hoping that he doesn't need to use it to fend off the monster.
Khessa is worried as the tentacled titanic monters emerges: "If it comes for us now... thing are not going to be easy. I really hope the doomed ship is enough for it to play with"
The blonde arcane warrior's blue eyes study the colossus with attention... How it moves, how quickly, whether it seems to follow a goal or mere instinct...
'...And yet, in spite of his overwhelming physical superiority,' the tall adventuress thinks 'we managed to fool it, to elude it, while on the ship... There is hope for us'.
"Let's just get back on the bloody dwarf ship and out of the area,"says Coriana.

Theldrin nods grimly in response to Khessa and Coriana, watching the kraken intently from the rowboat as he rubs his beard nervously. He silently wishes he'd remembered to grab some loot for the Dwarves, but shrugs to himself with the realization that there wasn't time.
Syllen gives a slight laugh while taking a breath after managing to survive.
“I tried to get you a pet kraken but unfortunately she wasn't very happy about coming back with us. Sadly after that I did not have an opportunity to look for anything interesting for you.”

In the race to leave the sinking ship, Xanrym had also forgotten about Sindhuk's request. Since the Company of the Grey Chain found Aubrek's chest and are now set to receive a generous reward, Xanrym is feeling generous. But they still need to make it away from the kraken and back to the Soul of Winter. He says, "If you can get us and Aubrek's property safely aboard the Soul of Winter, Sindhuk, there's a red ruby in it for you!"
The Company still needs to make it back to the City of Greyhawk. Xanrym figures that it'll be useful to have a loyal ally who believes that if The Company succedes, he profits. And everyone knows that dwarves love precious stones.
The dwarven sailor somehow is able to put more energy into rowing with the promise of a ruby. You would have thought getting away from a giant squid monstrosity would motivate him, but you feel now that the Sindhuk is going as hard as possible. The other dwarves are all waiting in the deck of the Soul.
They help you all out of the boat, and help you wrench the chest up onto the deck. Captain Wolgar comes up to you and busts out, “Moradin’s Beard! Don’t know how you got out there alive! Y’all have more metal than the armouries of Irongate! What now? Do we get the hell out of here?” Most of the dwarves are looking dumbstruck at the now sinking tentacles.
Khessa immediately supports Theldrin: "Indeed, captain... We may have more metal than the armouries of Irongate, but those oversized tentacles don't look like they'd have much trouble with metal... I fear we would be tested to the limit by such a monster, let's get away quickly".

Khessa was waiting for nothing else! She helps load the cargo and is ready to climb aboard herself.
