Xanrym finds it easy to ignore the horrifying glares from the many undead eyes. He is confident in The Company's victory now that they're all able to focus on one foe! He even laughs as he sees the monstrous thing retreating. But then a terrible thought occurs to him -- what if the thing returns to the graves from which it arose, pulling Avery down into the ground with it?! He leaps out from behind the stalagmites and hoists his crossbow, crying out, "Quick! Finish it off before it can drag Avery away!" He tries to aim for the west side of the creature, as far from where he last saw Avery and Whisper struggling against the horde of undead.
Movement: 15-ft of movement to move east of stalagmites, feeling brave with Khessa, Coriana, and his bonfire between him and the monster. Action: Cast a spell True Strike with Attack on the Graveyard Revenant, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 24, Damage: 10 (radiant) + Unable to parse dice roll. (radiant) = Unable to parse dice roll. (total) Free Action: Equip crossbow. Talking.
Concentration: Create Bonfire, round 2 of 10 While the bonfire lasts, any creature who enters bonfire’s space for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must also make a DC 17 DEX saving throw or take damage: 9 (fire).
The thought of the brave knight being buried alive is chilling, and Khessa is already preparing to strike with fury... but the terrifying glare strikes again—and this time the blonde arcane warrior is too disturbed to resist.
As her mind fills with thoughts of companions being dragged into an eternity of cold darkness, the tall adventuress freezes completely...
Theldrin steps around the corner, letting out a low groan in dismay as he sees Coriana and Khessa are now paralyzed.Needing to make a quick decision and low on spells, he sends out a burst of glowing darts at the Revenant before retreating to the passageway again.
Theldrin and Xanrym's spell hits the Revenant, while Syllen's spell flies wide. Coriana and Khessa are struck by the paralysis while Avery makes two successful attacks from within the Revenant. You see that he has successfully cut many bodies out of the whole and it is looking fairly worse for wear.
The Revanant moves forward and tries to Suffocate Coriana, while also crushing Avery, hoping to drive the breath out of him:
Suffocate against Coriana Attack: 28 Damage: 20 Bludgeoning and 19 Necrotic. She is also Grappled and Suffocating.
Suffocate against Avery Attack: 26 Damage: 13 Bludgeoning and 12 Necrotic. Avery will then be out of breath, suffering 1 Exhaustion at the end of each of his turns.
You all are up. The Graveyard Revenant is trying to Paralyze and Suffocate you all it seems.
Xanrym is horrified to see Corianaengulfed by the Grave Revenant too, especially since he's the one who was pressing to explore the Necromancer's Spike more before The Company chose a spot to sleep for the night. Xanrym fires another crossbow bolt, again using magic to turn the bolt into a radiant missile. He feels that the best way to help his companions is to destroy the at the towering undead monster before they're crushed to death by the pile of corpses. He moves east to get closer to them, calling out, "Hold on Coriana! Avery! We'll get you out of there!"
Movement: 30-ft of movement to move east, still on the ledge but directly north of the Graveyard Revenant. Action: Cast a spell True Strike with Attack the Graveyard Revenant , Crossbow, Light (80/320): 19, Damage: 6 (piercing) + 6 (radiant) = 12 (total) Free Action: Talking
Concentration: Create Bonfire, round 3 of 10 While the bonfire lasts, any creature who enters bonfire’s space for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must also make a DC 17 DEX saving throw or take damage: 9 (fire).
Coriana, feeling the crushing pile of bodies, fears she won't be able to stay conscious much further. She slashes around her in desperation, and has the tentacle strike towrds her in an attempt to free her.

Khessa feels Syllen's influence descending upon her, like a blessing filtered from the stars through the earth to reach her, and free her.
The blonde arcane warrior takes a split second to turn her head to the elf and smile while nodding in thanks; then she is already there, instructing Anator to distract the dangerous undead again.
The tall adventuress, having lost focus on her abjuration, is acutely aware of her vulnerability, but the monster is showing signs of weakening—so she chooses to try to strike it down, rather than restore her magical defenses. As Anator snaps, so does the magical Greatsword, cleaving the dead bodies that make up the horrifying monster......
[[ OOC: Anator's Action: Help Khessa. Khessa's Action: Attack with her Greatsword ]]
Khessa and Avery's attacks are against already re-dead corpses, as Theldrin and Xanrym's hits fell the giant Revenant. the eyes disappear in a low howl as the bodies all fall to the floor at your feet. Plopping to the ground like big wet raindrops. You all stand in and around the graveyard now, free of it's curse, although you get the feeling the Revenant has not truly gone from this place; it's job somehow not yet done.
Xanrym picks up his lantern, which he had set down on the ground before the appearance of the undead guardians. Then he descends the steps into the graveyard to join the others. He is anxious to check that everyone is OK after that fight, especially Corianaand Avery, who were both pulled into the massive tower of corpses.
Xanrym offers magical Aid to Avery, Coriana, and either Syllen or Khessa if that would help everyone feel more comfortable with opening the door at the east of the graveyard. "If there are more powerful undead inside, we could always retreat back to the secret hallway or," gesturing toward the south when he notices that the graveyard stretches farther in that direction, "maybe back into the the Audience Hall if we see a door leading back there."
(OOC: Checking what everyone needs before we're ready to continue. Xanrym was the only uninjured PC when we entered the graveyard. @Aaggie hasn't updated his sheet, but I think that Avery is at 41/58 HP. I see that Corianais now at 8 HP, but maybe @Charwoman_Gene prefers for us to open the door right away since she would still have a few rounds left with her current use of Tentacle of the Deep in case we encounter any more resistance. Coriana could hang back and use Eldritch Blast and the tentacle.)
Assuming that The Company agrees to open the door at the east of the graveyard -- perhaps after a healing spell or potion -- Xanrym would move up to the door, careful not to step on any graves or near any of the corpses that had been violently animated until just a few moments ago.
Xanrym takes his lantern over to the door. He checks to see whether it is locked and whether there are any tiny glyphs or other signs of danger before stepping back and letting Khessa open the door. (Skill check in the spoiler.)
