Larin and Theldrin - Ramne smiles at you both, "Well if that's the case, come on back here when your ready to leave and i'll have Whiskers ready for you when you do. I'll see if there's anything else i can spare to lend you before you leave. I might have a couple of goodies in here that will aid you in your mission." He heads back into his shack and starts rummaging through the mess in there.
What was everyone's next moves? I know Avery and Xanrym are doing some stuff at the general store. What were Liarin and Theldrin doing?
Avery is also going to restock rations, see if he needs any more torches, flint and steel, see if there are flasks of oil in case, he needs to make firebombs.
That's fine, I should point out that there is also a blacksmith in town. You may not be able to get everything you need at the general store.
(OOC: Fair. Thanks for the heads-up. I wasn't sure whether you wanted to play out the next interactions around buying the gear or whether you were trying to hurry past that and get to the next phase of the adventure: leaving Orlane, finding the naga's lair, etc.)
Theldrin will suggest that he and Liarin stop by the jailhouse next, where he will cast Identify as a ritual. He asks for Wraven and Lldryk's aid in being able to touch one of the prisoners the party suspects as being under the naga's spell, in order to avoid being attacked.
Identify (if the tooltip above doesn't work, forums seems to be being quirky)
Alright, this is assuming Avery is at the general store, Xanrym is running a couple of errands at the inn and back at the livery stable, and Liarin and Theldrin are heading to the jail.
Avery - You escort young Micah to the general store (12) with a carting mule lent to you by Kilian the livery man. Here you give Micah your list of goods for him to buy (This won't include any armour or weapons, as you can't buy those here). He goes inside and you wait for a long while for the boy to come back out. 12
Xanrym - You go back to the Golden Grain Inn, where your growing group of companions have set up a nice little place for themselves. Maajid, his leg now completely healed, is comforting Cirilli by the fire, which she looks into absently. When you walk in, however, both Toska and Oliver walk up to you with determination on their faces. Toska at first says, "I've decided that i will accompany you to the naga's den. This town deserves to be freed from the curse, and you will find my help useful in the coming battle." While Oliver murmers, "I think it's time I also came out from my shell. While I don't have much experience with fighting, I do know a few things about the local history, and I will endeavor to not get in anyones way." They both look at you expectantly.
Theldrin and Liarin - Lldryk and Wraven help you to get Abramo out of his cell. The other prisoners sit in silence as he laughs and you touch him with the spell. You sence that he is certainly under the influence of a powerful magic. While this is no spell you've ever heard of in your teachings, it is certainly a powerful enchantment. Some dark magic has charmed the madman, and it isn't clear if his mind will ever be the same, even if you break the spell.
Theldrin thanks Lldryk and Wraven and then steps outside the jail with Liarin.
"Well," he says with a disappointed frown as he looks over the streets of the cursed town, "I don't think I learned anything we haven't already guessed, as I couldn't tell what spell is affecting him exactly... only that it's dark and powerful, and he may not recover from it." He sighs, then continues. "The sooner this is all over the better, let's head back to the Inn and see if Xanrym and Avery were able to obtain what we need for our expedition."
Avery - You see Micah go inside the shop. After talking to the shopkeeper Isiah for a while, he walks into the back room of the shop with him.
He will move into the shop, and see if he can get an angle on the backroom to keep on eye on them. Avery is concerned with everything that has been going on, he is being cautious. If he can't see them, he will try to make his way to the back.
Xanrym - You go back to the Golden Grain Inn, where your growing group of companions have set up a nice little place for themselves. Maajid, his leg now completely healed, is comforting Cirilli by the fire, which she looks into absently. While I don't have much experience with fighting, I do know a few things about the local history, and I will endeavor to not get in anyones way." They both look at you expectantly.
Xanrym is surprised by these offers, but he smoothly says, "That's very generous of you both. And brave! I don't object, of course, but I'll have to speak with my companions to make sure that it's OK with them too. But...are you sure? You must understand that this will not be a pleasant stroll. We don't know where to find the naga, so we may be wandering around the wilderness for many days. Maajid was attacked by troglodytes and nearly killed while riding on the open road, and we will almost certainly have to leave the road behind. We'll probably have to explore the whole of the Rushmoors! Setting aside the naga itself, rumors have it that evil goblins and strange monsters lurk in that vast and trackless swamp! If you come with us, we may not be able to protect you. You'd certainly be risking your life if you came with us."
Xanrym is trying to dissuade them from coming with the party, but he's also stalling a bit. (Persuasion16) Toska and Oliver are the two with the least certain backgrounds, and he's not sure whether either or both are under the naga's spell. If he convinces them that it's too dangerous, that's fine. If not, he'll try to remain positive but non-committal until he can ask Theldrin whether the wizard is able to determine whether a person has been enchanted using one spell or another.
Xanrym asks them to wait for him in the tavern downstairs while he goes upstairs to get something. He brings one of the chests back to the tavern and sits on a bench at one of the tables so that he can count out enough copper and silver to pay Kilian for Heckle. While he counts, he asks first Toska and then Oliver to tell him more about how they think that they can help. He makes neat stacks on the table, 10-coins high, while they talk.
Xanrym is trying to dissuade them from coming with the party, but he's also stalling a bit. (Persuasion25)
(OOC: I guess we should imagine that Xanrym included some additional graphic details about being swallowed alive by a giant snake or having your head smashed open by an ettin. Or maybe the dangers of throat leeches and diseases. Or a tale someone once told him about finding a days-old corpse, putrid and bloated, floating in a swamp.)
Xanrym - Toska and Oliver will stay back in Orlane if you ask them to, they've both put forward their arguments as to why you should take them. It's up to y'all as to whether you do or not.
Avery - You sneak through the shop; through the stacks of wire, rope, and supplies; to the back room. Where you hear the small boy crying while Isiah snarls at him, "Don't you scream you little wretch. You thought you could fool me and my mistress? They'll never make it to the swamp... but i'll make sure you get to meet her." You see him getting some rope and things ready to bind the child.

OK. Xanrym finishes counting out the coin he needs to pay Kilian for Heckle. He puts that in a sack and locks up the rest in the (trapped) chest upstairs. He asks Toska and Oliver to stay at the Inn for now to help guard Maajid and Cirilli. He'll return once he gathers the other three.
Theldrin thanks Lldryk and Wraven and then steps outside the jail with Liarin....He sighs, then continues. "The sooner this is all over the better, let's head back to the Inn and see if Xanrym and Avery were able to obtain what we need for our expedition."
(OOC: I'm not sure about the timing of the simultaneous events.)
If Xanrym leaves before he sees Theldrin and Liarin coming over to the Inn, Xanrym quietly asks Maajid to let Theldrin and Liarin know that that can meet Avery and him at the general store or the blacksmith's. He asks Maajid to tell them quietly so that they don't distress Cirilli or make her fret about her parents at the general store.
If Theldrin and Liarin meet Xanrym at the Inn before he leaves for the livery stable, Xanrym will ask whether they want to walk with him to the livery stable and join up with Avery.
Assuming they do, as they walk, Xanrym asks what Theldrin discovered about the spell the naga placed on the other villagers. He also tells them that both Oliver and Toska have offered to accompany them to the naga's lair. Reminding them of his general suspicion of everyone other than them and Maajid, he asks Theldrin whether he thinks that the wizard could detect whether Toska or Oliver are under the naga's spell. Xanrym says, "I don't want to rely on them in the wilderness if one or both of them are secretly loyal to the cult, but I also wouldn't feel good about leaving Maajid and Cirilli under their care while we go to the naga's lair unless we can ensure that they aren't under the naga's spell."
Theldrin and Liarin can accompany him to the livery stable to see the horse. Or they can head directly over to the general store to see how Avery is doing, and Xanrym will meet them there after he pays for the horse. Xanrym explains, "The livery man's son is ordering equipment for us since we didn't think that from Cirilli's father, Isiah (from last night), would do business with us. Avery went along to make sure that the boy doesn't run into any trouble."

Liarin really isn't interested in doing anything but getting ready to leave.

Alrighty Avery roll a Stealth roll and a Perception check.
