"Well put Tambor!" Esseer says, and turns to Zaupu "It must be wonderful to have no acknowledgement of death, only fearlessness and bravery. Sometimes it feels like my life is so embroiled with death that I forget to appreciate the joy of living and being in the moment." His eyes wander to Ku doing his bizarre tribal dance, now with a whole group joining in around the bonfire where the food is being prepared. "Let us put aside our fears for the future and thoughts of the Magistrate for just this evening, and celebrate the company and good food we have now whilst we can!" And with that, Esseer leaves Zaupu and Tambor to join in with the festivities occurring around the bonfire.
”I think that Eseer is right. If we retreat, the crown will continue to push us out of the wilds, until we have nowhere left to go. And although we don’t know the strength of the imperial army, I am familiar with the beasts of the forest and maybe they could help us fight.”
Nature check: 24 (favoured terrain)
Edit: I’m not actually proficient in nature, so it would be an 18.
Thokk just shrugs "It's okay to hold different philosophies. I have just found the ones who never contemplate their death or potential death are the ones who find the wrong end of the sword the fastest. I agree, we should stand against them and make them regret threatening us."
Tambor gets delighted at the idea of seeking help from the wilds themself. "They want to claim and the land and in return the land shall fight." she remarks. "I like it."
”There could be some noble unicorns in the forest who might able to be convinced to aid us in battle, especially if it’s for the good of the land.”
"I agree, there will definitely be some benevolent creatures within the forest, however...", Esseer lowers his voice, "There are also strong creatures of great evil. We could find common ground with them if it comes to it. Anyway, we should arrange a hunt to seek out these creatures as soon as possible. The magistrates ultimatum only gave us a few days to consider after all."
[By the looks of it, everyone that's discussed ideas seems to be chill with idea of seeking out monster allies, so I reckon we should progress to that soon]
Tambor rolls out the casks from earlier and strikes them with her halberd to open them, tapping them to control the flow. She fills some mugs with and brings them out while doing a war chant. "We drink!" she proclaims.
Ku pretends to card his tribes people who are underage. "Drink up everyone. This ale has been blessed by our elders, so this is a ritual tribe celebration. Drinks for everyone."

Tambor snorts before taking a long draft of ale. She wipes the foam away and replies, "Trolls? I don't like trolls." She takes another draft, finishing the tankard. "Stupid. Nasty. Evil. Up to no good." As she refills the tankard she adds, "Centaurs. Dryads. Werebears. Lizardfolk and the like," she gestures towards Esseer. "Those are more to my liking."
Zaupu grows restless waiting to fight. "Whatever we are going to do, we need to start making preparations now! We are running out of time. We should take out the troops that come to collect the taxes first, that will reduce the number we have to fight later. The smaller group will be much easier."

"I fully agree. We need to act as soon as possible and start making moves. Time is of the essence and we are running out!"
I am giving up on this campaign. The DM has not posted anything at all in a week and he has not replied to private messages either. It seems like a lot of people are giving up also because very few people post anymore. Good bye all. I hope you all have fun, whether in this campaign or another one.

That’s really unfortunate to hear, you were a great asset to the group and seemed really enthusiastic at the beginning. I totally agree with you that people haven’t been posting that regularly, but from what I understand of Play-By-Post, it’s meant to be a slow, casual burn that can take many months or even years to complete, so I’m not too concerned if both the DM and players have slowed down with posts after the initial beginning-stage hype, as real world responsibilities and events always take priority no matter what. Hopefully you find a campaign that you can enjoy closer to your desired playstyle, and hopefully we can start making some more steady progress here :)
Hulga, the blind seer of the tribe, interrupts the celebration and gives this ominous warning.
"Giants of Fey, Curse of Evil Eye. They come here now, seeking to destroy our tribe. Intercept them, you will, if you leave now. Travel back down the road and off to the stone peak. There you will face the Giants of the Curse."
Everyone, who wants to leave for this "side quest" roll initiative, and we will fast forward to the forest trail, leading to the stone peak, where "cursed" giants threaten the safety of the tribe."
"If there's curses and fey to be fought then count me in." she says and readies her equipment. "I'll join this quest."

[[ Should we assume there's a long rest between the discussion and the start of this quest? (Wondering if she'll have the 2nd lv slot used on Find Steed available.)
For me, I'm willing to stick it out with the campaign. Guessing Nico had a busy week. And thanks to Nathan for the miniquest. ]]
