'No, we haven't seen nobody come through this way in a while. That ranger and his pet were the last people we saw before we...umm...nevermind, we've not seen anybody like that,' one of the cultists says, pointing to the human corpse by the axe and porcupine you saw on your way in.
"Very well." says Eggo Lass. Turning to the party she asks, "Shall we head down the path?" Adding as an aside to the cultist she telepathically communicates, (By the by, bone marrow can make a nice treat when prepared. Very nutritious too. I prefer roasting it but some can make a spread out of it that pairs nicely with toast or crackers. Just gotta do it when it's fresher.) May as well give them some culinary knowledge to reduce the number of people they felt a need to attack.
Hugh pulls out 3 ration bars and hands the to Pete as they part company. "Tell Tony he needs to open his eyes and think. Or replace him. If he doesn't open his eyes, he will get you and the group killed. Information is a great thing to sell. After you sell it to one group, you can sell it again to the next, for the same price as before." He secures his pack and hustles back to the front of the group, checking for pieces of the corridor that don't make sense (checking for traps).

Tony's... dead. I killed him. Pete's probably the one in charge now lol.
Sly moves to the room the group entered first and indicates the northern door. "Should we follow their directions or do you want to see what other horrors the dungeon has in store for us? I'm tending to prefer the former."
Since Hugh already investigated the doors in that room, she opens it from a distance with mage hand.
Bilyur says, "I am here to root out evil, which is why I favored killing one of those cultists over fighting them all. I didn't think they were evil, just desperate. However, I can always come back after the shadow weave has been broken - provided I get a permit, that is." He says, grinning at Eggo Lass.
You all head up to the northern room to find a room identical to the one through the southern door; being an empty sewer maintenance chamber 20 feet wide and 25 feet long, with two tunnels running east and west out of the room. However this room also has a chest in it. It's identical to the chest some of you found in the first dungeon, a treasure trunk made of dark blue wood, with bronze accents, and a metal plaque on the lid with a red ink inscription in Elvish. Just like the one you found before, its blue and bronze colouring and its ornate design don't match the dingy sewer aesthetic at all.
The Elvish inscription reads: 'Adventuring Gear Donation Chest: Take whatever you need on your journey, further donations optional but appreciated' It seems all the chests of this type are from the same manufacturer, and are set up every so often to give adventurers a safe way to gather loot and gear as they travel through the dungeons.
If detect magic that Sly cast when we entered is still active, she will survey the chest for traces of the arcane. Otherwise, she keeps a respectful distance from it, and from Eggo too.
"Adventuring gear donation chest?" says Eggo Lass, "That's weird. Is it a magic chest meant to transfer stuff? Probably not, otherwise I'd imagine those cultists would've gotten rations that way." She awaits Sly's investigation results.
Sly detects no magic from the chests; it seems that they are just ordinary trunks that have been distributed by a mysterious benefactor, and all that keeps them from being picked clean of resources is the goodness of a creatures heart. Still, you haven't opened this one so maybe the cultists have cleared this one out.
"I am loath to admit as much, as I believe all chests are treacherous, but the contents of this trunk may actually prove helpful. The inscription matches my preliminary analysis. If the chest contains anything inedible, the cultists may have left it behind."
Sly offers to use mage hand to open the chest, out of sheer force of habit.
The chest opens fine, and you peek inside cautiously to see the contents. The majority of the space is taken up by a brass gladiatorial-style breastplate that fills up the majority of the room in the trunk, however there are a few loose coins that line the bottom of the chest, coming to a total of 6 CP, 13 SP and 4 GP. There are also an assorted amount of lockpicks, pliers and other tools of various metals, designs and origins scattered amongst the coins that all together can make up a complete set of Thieves' Tools, though the small satchel they are usually stored in is absent.
Bilyur curses at the lack of a new weapon. "All I need is a new shortsword, that's it. I can't use this scimitar. Someone probably needs to take this who can use it."
"That thing would look dreadful in my wardrobe I'm afraid.", Sly says, indicating the breastplate. "However, I shan't be demure about the money." She picks up the coins and says. "I propose to keep this for the group. 'Tis but a pittance, so I suggest we split it later, once we have a chance to use it."
"If nobody wants the breastplate, we could always sell it. But I'm not going to be able to carry it around."

Eggo Lass stifles a chuckle from Bilyur's knowing look. She puts a finger over her mouth as if to shush him and winks with a grin mimicking his own.
She's ready to head forward, taking the lead if no one else does.
