“I can help us sneak to the door. I can cloak us in a dim shadow, which to outside eyes will appear as a shadow from a passing cloud. The magic makes it hard for any outside of the shadow to detect what’s going on inside.”
Dancing Shadows
BoET, pg. 43
As a bonus action, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration to create a 20 ft. radius sphere that moves with you, spreads around corners, and lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated or die.
Allied creatures (including you) standing in the sphere have half cover, and creatures outside the sphere have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to perceive anything inside the sphere. Darkvision does not nullify this effect. Creatures that don’t rely on eyesight are immune to this effect.
If any of this effect’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.
Dancing Shadows: 1 Bonus Action
Mana looks skyward for any prevailing cloud movement or wavering banners or awnings nearby to strategize a path through the lawn that would not draw suspicion.
With all your planning, I will give advantage to stealth checks to get inside (along with the disadvantage to perception from Mana). Sterling are you joining? And if so, what are you doing to lose the crowd (or use the crowd. I'm sure you have a plan).
(The manor is effectively a 'dungeon' to end chapter 3. There is a map but as I'm almost exclusively mobile until December, you will not get very regular map updates. I will see what I can do though)
(( OOC: Hmm. I had planned on just keeping the crowd (and possibly guards) occupied to let everyone else go in, but if it's more a "dungeon" than a quick in-and-out, yeah, I'll definitely want Sterling to join. In which case:
* If there's no communication from the others, he'll simply keep an eye on the grounds (I presume he's noticed the guard,) and when clear, will send the crowd away, dismissing himself in an illusory puff of smoke. The smoke will just be a screen for him to transform into the guard, at which point he'll appear from behind whatever he's standing near and grumble, "show's over, get a move on," then sneak inside to hopefully meet everyone else.
* If the others at least let him know when they plan on moving in, he'll let the crowd know his pitch is done, and will walk off to find some discrete back alley to, again, transform into a different visage (probably an average-looking citizen.) At that point he'll circle back and try to sneak in at the same time as the others; if delayed, he'll try to sneak in on his own.
In either case, Sterling has been adding extra, unnecessary flourishes and hand movements to his spells, in the hopes that trying to sneak in a spell or two unnoticed (a distant scream, a quick "false wall" on a building side, etc.) might actually succeed. ))

Sterling will remain outside, covering your entrance (and then once you leave, I will write him out more officially) but the rest of you still need stealth checks with advantage to get inside the manor
Sorry, I'm on vacation and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
One thing I forgot, the gate is locked. But with those stealth checks you can slip over the wall and past the groundskeeper and the dogs. Something definitely seems off with them but from the distance you keep, you can't put your finger on it.
As you cross the yard, through the trees you can see a large balcony enclosed by an iron railing above the mansion’s main entrance. The balcony is 20 feet above ground level, and scaling the mansion’s brick walls to reach it without the aid of climbing gear or magic is possible, but will be difficult (and pretty obvious). There is also multiple entrance doors you see. One is to a separate building on your left, it's small and through a window you can see it's the coach house. There is a stable included too (5 horses, 1 of which is a riding the rest are draft). There is also a one story building attacked to the main manor with a door on the front and back (which you have currently snuck around to be hidden from the street and the groundskeeper). And there is also another door into the manor behind this 1 story building. It looks like a servant entrance. Finally there is the main doors around the front that you belive you can sneak to if you wish.
Mana whispers, “Did we check recently the nimblewright detector to confirm its here? That fighting upstairs could be it attacking more people! Yes, servant’s entrance, quickly. Hopefully there are stairs close by.”

A modest crowd. About 7 people actively right with you, with others definitely paying attention as they continue on their path
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
