Name: Gotu Class: Wizard (Going into School of Divination) Race: Passage Human Backstory: Gotu was a peculiar addition to the guild's ranks. Unlike his fellow thieves, who excelled in the art of stealth and subterfuge, Gotu's talents lay in the arcane arts. However, a twist of fate had led him to believe that he was joining a guild for wizards, not realizing that he had stumbled upon the clandestine world of thieves. Despite the misunderstanding, Gotu found himself drawn into the fold of the Night Raven. His magical prowess proved to be a valuable asset, aiding the guild in their daring endeavors. Over the years, Gotu became a trusted member, and his loyalty to the Night Raven was unwavering. However, fate dealt a cruel blow to the guild when Biscotti met his demise under mysterious circumstances. With their leader gone, the Night Raven found itself in disarray, its future uncertain. As whispers of betrayal and power struggles echoed through the shadows, Gotu found himself thrust into the midst of the turmoil.
Wait, Gotu... Were you in Andros' Descent into Avernus campaign?
Yup. Sadly, it got dropped/abandoned, and I waited for a while, too, before I had to remove my PC and remake it for this campaign.
This game will be 60% roleplay, 33% exploration, and maybe only 7% combat (it can be higher if you pick your own fights).
It is mainly about a thieves' guild called the Night Ravens and the recent demise of their leader Biscotti.
No homebrew. No guns. (later on, cannons on ships may be allowed, we'll see)
Roll for stats, always reroll 1's. If you don't like your first set of numbers you get a second chance to roll but you MUST use the 2nd roll so be sure you really don't like the 1st roll.
If there are any early deaths or drop-outs I may replenish the party with applicants from here. So if you are not selected don't lose hope as you may be selected in a week, or in a month, etc. etc.
Heya, is this still open for applicants? I’d love to whip up a thorough character sheet when I have some time, if you’re still looking for people.
I believe we did a bit of pbp back in “The Taven” with your character Baxter. It’d be cool to play in one of your campaigns.
I have not finished selecting the starting group yet and even after I do I plan on leaving this open as a source of replacements for those that drop or die early in the campaign.
So even if you're not in the starting group you still have a chance to join, it just might be a week, a month, or even longer in some cases.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Many families have histories they’d rather keep hidden. Imagine Lillian LaRouge’s surprise at finding out her family had skeletons in their closet. In fact, they were so well hidden she couldn’t PROVE anything, but the deductions were obvious. We still had connections to the Biscotti family.
And as she investigated, she grew fascinated. At how things fit together. At how she could make money off it.Until the fateful day someone called her a meddling kid.Not a good thing. She had to think fast.
“Look, you can use my talents.I can steer you toward the kiIIer in the Darkchapel district. You’ve got to be losing money with the fear he causes.” Shortly after, the “Ripper” murders stopped as mysteriously as they had began. And she was a member of the Biscotti gang, in search of a nickname.
She had a habit of wearing lace, so someone called her “Lacy”. Too feminine to suit her. But “Lace”? She liked the sound of that.
Name: "Bouncer" Bob Race: Variant Human Class: Fighter Background: Criminal
Bob left the farm for the city as a young lad, finding not much use for his skills except for his size and strength, he found himself working as a bouncer at a house of ill repute. After some trouble where he roughed up a customer who ended up being connected, he had to disappear for a while and found himself running as muscle for the Night Ravens....
There may be an alternative that will soon make it's way known.

I know. I was in it, too. Castor, the murderous cinnamon bun.

I don't know if this is open to players still, but if it is I would be interested

Finally done!
Let me know if any little things need changes, like gold weight or advancement type or anything.

So say one of us dies. Does anything stop us from tossing a new character into the recruitment page?
There may be an alternative that will soon make it's way known.
Oooooh, that either bodes very well or very poor for us.
Just an interesting option for rolling up a new character.
