Jayson will begin ritually casting Detect magic, "I will cast Detect magic ritually my friends and examine the room. Be cautious of things too."
Jayson begins his ritural near the opening to the room before going in.
The fell bard's magic starts like many bardic rituals. Lyrics and song, with perhaps a biting edge calling on a deep theme of magic that permeates all the planes, an ontology that moves the weave and yet is not of it. As the ritual continues, the song becomes more discordant, the tempo more arhythmic. In one final verse, now no longer lyrical or melodic, but harsh, unsettling and in a language not made for humanoid tongues, teeth and mouths, Jaysoncompletes his ritual.
Each of the adventurers is surrounded in a ombre of scintillating colours and tones as the magics they wear and wield intermingle and weave through one another.
In the room itself there are only three bright haloes of magic, the sign of unattuned magic items. A sheen of darkest gray belongs to the pendant that Broma still holds between two fingers as he turns it before the slit in his thick helmet. On the work tables, the untarnished mace (adorned by an emblem shaped like the rising sun, with a sunburst of rays reaching down to the haft) is surrounded by a golden light, as is the pristine breastplate that bears a dragon motif repeating in shallow etching across its brassy metal chest piece.
Jaysonturns his focus to the emerald flame in the center of the room and the six jewels that still surround them. For a moment each of the gems reflects the colour that they appear to the naked eye, but then they and the emerald flame are suddenly blinding prismatic rainbow, intense and radiant as if staring into the naked sun at high noon. Blinding. Jaysonhas to turn his face away, and blinks illusionary spots from his eyes.
Jayson comments, "Turning away from the brightness of the emerald flame. Ughhhhhh. That is blinding when you look at through detect magic. The pendant Broma has is magical, The mace and the armor are both magical also. The emerald flame is of concern with how much it radiated. I wonder if there is a link to the skull we fought and this here. I wonder if that Skull somehow is powered by this thing here. This is a bit beyond my arcana skill my friends. I suggest we figure it out though. I don't know any specific on the magic items either. "
Jayson makes sure to look the whole room over while the spell is active and if there is time, he'll head back to the room they fought the skull in to look it over quickly with an escort.
"If, there is time let's go look over the other room where we fought the skull thing."

Alaina zones out into almost a light trance and seeks out the distance and direction to that portal she sensed earlier.
You feel that the portal is below your feet, just a few paces more than half a mile down and perhaps no more than 50 feet ahead of you. Something about it speaks to water, and something to fire. The sense of fire grows stronger briefly in time with the echoing boom, before sinking under the sense of water that pervades at all other times.

Jayson's would have done this prior to the rest to be sure things were looked into before their short rest.

Before examining the forge and items within, the subjugator of song and sin examines the wheelhouse and waterway of the cavern. Ghostly flames linger under the hard, cortical bone of the Flameskull’s shards. Whatever magic animated it not yet gone. A small patch of illusionary magic is seen in one corner of the room, nearest the passage that the Stonecold Raider’s leader left.
Pretending to see neither, the warlock heads back towards the forge where he sees the magical items and is then near blinded by the intensity of the forge’s magic.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jayson points out the magic items in the room or with Broma unsure if Broma has attuned to it or plans too.

During the short rest Lorken will try to identify the brazier, humming along to Jayson's song of rest.
(I messed up Lorken's rolls because I forgot about the Periapt of Wound Closure which doubles his healing from uses of hit dice. Once I sorted that mess out, he used two hit dice, getting a 1+4 and a 12+4 for 21 which was then doubled to 42 points of healing. Jayson's song of rest then gave an additional 3 points of healing.)
Lorkenidentifies the Brazier of Green Flame. The heart of the forge of spells and the source of the lost mine's great wealth and its ultimate ruin. It is not long after the satyr has finished patching up his wounds that he identifies the brazier as the source of the magic that suffuses the surrounding caverns. With the missing coloured gem at the base of the brazier it seems that the magic it once held has waned over the years and can no longer be harnessed to permanently enchant magic items like the breastplaste and mace.
However, with the aid of his companions it becomes apparent that any weapon or suit of armor bathed in the green flame for at least 1 minute becomes gains an additional +1 to its magic, for 1d12 hours.
The size of the brazier is far greater than the flame. Perhaps the flame was once larger and more potent and even the loss of one stone has diminished it. Removing the brazier from the Forge of Spells may douse the green flame and forever deprive the brazier of its magical power.
"Well!" exclaims Lorken. "It would be rude not to." And with that, he holds his great axe in the brazier, the reflections of the green flames dancing in his eyes.
Jayson goes through his bag of holding, "I still have 1 or 2 chimes of opening, and one has 9 charges and if there were 2 the other one is fully charged. I have a potion of healing superior, 3 potions of healing, a healer's kit too, and mundane equipment in the bag as well. I just wanted you all to know in case I forget it. If you need any of it just say so or if I'm incapacitated you can get stuff as you need to help the group."

OOC- So the Detect magic is 10 min I think and part of it used in the room then moved back to the last fight area to use the last of the spell up.

"Well, my friends, is there anything else you want to do here? I think we'd better get a move on, for the sake of the Camber sisters."
Lorken will top up the lantern and gather his things, ready to return to the room with the mysteriously-still-magical remains of the flaming skull.
Alaina enchants a bunch of arrows in the flames. (I'm assuming I can do like 10 at once.) [[4 hours]] She is ready to go otherwise.
