Katarina rushes in to attack the lt blue shadow, slashing through the non-corporeal form. (DC13 Con: 14 - if it fails, the shadow screams an unearthly sound and disspiates as the radiant light destroys it!)

Thrixi flies from Vanizi's shoulder where she'd been resting and comes up near the shadow (pink) attacking Davis. It tries to distract the creature. (Uses HELP action.)
Vanizi then points her rod at the shadow (pink) and casts Eldritch Blast at it. (Spell Attack: 27; Damage: 24 force)

Vanizi's familiar flies up to harry the shadow, and Vanizi blasts the pink shadow out of existence with a massive bolt of eldritch energy!
Davis, now free of the threat from the shadow, focuses on the leader. His warhammer connects with the cult leader, and a thunderous crash echoes throughout the complex! (DC 10 Str Save: 4)
The cult leader, knocked to the ground, has blood leaking from his nose and mouth from the force of the blow, yet is not done fighting yet! He gets up and moves toward the eastern exit. As he moves, he points at Davis and commands him to "Flee!"(Casting command at Davis - DC11 Wis save or follow the command)
Haly's eyes narrow as the leader of whatever is going on tries to escape, and then has the audacity to try and get Davis to flee! She holds out her hands towards him and casts hold person, "Where do you think you're going?"

Katarina destroys the last shadow with her strikes and radiant beam! (2 cultists and the fleeing leader left...map)
Halyqwyn tries to magically restrain the fleeing leader. (DC14 Wis save: 8)
If the leader fails his save, he yells out "We surrender!"and combat is over =) However, if he makes it, he sneers at Halyqwyn and orders his cultists to finish you off!

Seeing the fleeing leader, Vanizi moves forward a bit to stand near Halyqwyn. "You haven't gotten away yet!" she calls out as she sends an Eldritch Blast at the leader. (Spell Attack: 20, Damage: 13 force)
Vanizi drops the cult leader - the other two cultists surrender! The runic circle on the floor suddenly hisses and flashes with lurid light. As if being extinguished, the glow of the runes dims as shadowy smoke rises from the carvings. The smoke gathers in the center of the chamber, where it coalesces into an apparition of an emaciated skull with one glowing green eye.
The apparition speaks in a hissing baritone. “Good news, Zalryr. Though your efforts have been disappointing, you have brought me new... points of interest.” The apparition swivels to look at each of you in turn. “Yes, there is great potential here. May we meet again—but until then, I have my eye on you.” The apparition then explodes into streaks of shadow, passing through each of you with a whispered scream before vanishing.
Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an attack roll using a weapon or an unarmed strike, you can infuse your strike with life-stealing energy. Your attack then deals an extra 1d10 necrotic damage, and you gain 5 temporary hit points. Once used five times, the charm vanishes
You corral the last two cultists and bring to Lord Neverember. The Lord is grateful for your efforts and pays each of you a base sum of 100 gp for the job, plus an additional 20 gp each for bringing in some of the cultists alive.
This ends the adventure - congratulations! It also works out that I am heading out of the country for two weeks, so I'm happy to wrap this up! If I decide to run the full Vecna campaign later, I'll let you know. Thanks for being a great group - I really enjoyed how you played your characters!! See y'all around the boards!
