Tabitha arrives on Lance-a-stop the sixth, a few upgrades since some people had seen (though Khessa and Erven saw her creating this version in the Underdark). It is a darker metal than previously, with the aim of blending in better in the dark (thematic only). While she is arriving, she is tinkering with a cloak that she is wearing, her new one that she has been making since they started to leave the underdark, using fabric stolen from the drow and some rare metals she found that are not seen commonly on the surface. She then vanishes, reappearing in the exact same spot shortly later, falling to the ground as Lance has continued walking. "Experiment a success" she mutters. She brushes herself off, and then seeing Khessa and Erven directs Lance to them for a big group hug (that Lance attempts to join, but being a four legged construct, can't really). "Glad to see you again. I am assuming we have been summoned and I didn't set this off myself when I was tinkering to attempt to reverse engineer it and recreate them myself so we could have our own sets separate to Daggy."
Jack had long since lost his coin but fortunately he was on one of his frequent visits at the opulent mansion of Lord Pretender, currently in the guise of an older servant that notices several familiar faces entering the posh foyer. The servant gets a discreet amused smile as the Lord's guests talk about him as Daggy. He then leaves and moments later the young dark-haired man steps into the room with a bright smile. "What took you all so long, my coin has been burning in my pocket for days and days, did you get lost down in those dark and dreary tunnels?" He says with a good-natured smile. "Good to see you all made it back to civilizatiom of course."He declines any hugging though, opting instead for a comfy seat where he pours himself a glass of brandy which he tries to taste at every visit. "So, what do you think, old Vecna being up to some shenanigans again or has the lord's aunt's favourite cat gone missing?"He says with a grin as he takes a sip from his glass.
Khessa is thrilled to welcome Tabby into the group-hug and, amused by the fact that Lance also seems to want to participate, she begins to scratch and cuddle him as if he were a real dog, giggling carefree. If the Khessa of the early years forced herself to chase away worry with an unshakable hope, the Khessa of today, with her family (and a good number of other people!) once again free and in control of their lives, is much more serene and relaxed.
"I have no reason to think that Daggy uses the coin he gave us lightly" the blonde arcane warrior replies, with a benevolent smile. "He has never done it before... I'm really afraid that Vecna is up to something".
"Considering how tough Mr Stiched was," the tall adventuress sighs "I just hope that this time, as a champion, our Dark Overlord did not choose the Tarrasque..."
Jack may be declining a hug. But that doesn't stop Tabitha from still attempting a hug. She gets the message after the second refusal though, instead hugging the air near him as a virtual hug
Ketangu walks in now enshrouded by a shifting dark cloak, large belt made of red dragon hide, and bejeweled helm that sparkles in the light. His dread helm is fastened to his pack, along with the white mask he got from his master. As he approached the gathering, he sure received some strange looks where he can guess people were wondering if he was some strange entertainer or a knight wishing to show off their wealth. "Well met everyone. It seems we are back together once more. I went home and reconciled with my parents. I also had to deal with some sea creatures that made fishing rather impossible. Let me tell all you of the strange fishes I saw" He then goes through the tale of his adventure with his folks. "I got this fancy helm from the Triton's I helped"
Khessa follows Ketangu's story with interest and examines the helmet in admiration: "A truly wonderful object... but not as wonderful as your feat!" she pats him on the shoulder, smiling "You did very well!"
Before Kit added the no offense, Tabitha was looking around her trying to work out what she dragged in, while feeling slightly hurt at being called "the cat" and not her name. But then she remembers it is just an expression.
"Alright, come here you." The dark-haired young man relents and briefly embraces the tabaxi. His eyes then widen as the amorph enters wearing the most radiant helmet. He couldn't help but wonder how much all those gemstones would fetch. Not that there was anything discreet about this group before but now there would certainly be a challenge to keep a low profile.
"Well. I'm here aren't I, so more trouble than ususal I would say." He answers the highborn half-elf with a grin. "I hear you are the lord's errand girl these days." He says with a slightly teasing tone. "Let's hope we are all here for the benefit of the city. Are we expecting the dragonborn too?" He finishes, looking around at the others.
"Yes, thank you Kit!" Khessa smiles at the other, when she asks about the outcome of the successful expedition "We did it! We managed to free both my family, and a good number of other unfortunate prisoners..."
"If you had seen their faces, when they were able to reach again that sunlight that they thought they had lost forever..." the blue eyes of the blone arcane warrior shine with emotion "It... it was wonderful, Kit".
"You who have remained in contact with Daggy longer than us," the tall adventuress asks "do you by any chance know anything more about the impending threat? It's Vecna again, surely... Do you know what he's up to - or at least what has Daggy worried?"
When Jack mentions the dragonborn, Khessa looks around curiously. She would certainly have liked to reunite with him, who had helped defeat the initial threat... But he is nowhere to be seen, for now...
"Things are good now at home though it was touch and go for a while. Thank you for asking. Now I wonder if this Vecna has reared its ugly head or have, we been summoned for a different purpose" says Ketangu
“Did Mud play skipping stones with his sending stone? Mr. Stitches, I forgot that name… “ A dark look comes across Erven’s face, a look of remembrance. “I wonder if ole Daggy rounded up or hunted down any of their other cults in town. Jack, have you heard anything? If there’s anyone who’s in the know, I would think it would be you..”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Well. I'm here aren't I, so more trouble than ususal I would say." He answers the highborn half-elf with a grin. "I hear you are the lord's errand girl these days." He says with a slightly teasing tone.
"Yes," Kit sighs, "Although at least Lord Neverember allows me to feel useful. Aside from that I'm afraid my situation with regards to the nobility isn't very much improved."
Kit can't help but smile. She hadn't known Khessa very long but there was something comforting about the fact that the half-remembered enthusiasm had only seemed to grow with her success...
"Things are good now at home though it was touch and go for a while. Thank you for asking. Now I wonder if this Vecna has reared its ugly head or have, we been summoned for a different purpose" says Ketangu
"Sooo...not the relaxing family reunion you were expecting?"
She eyes the bejeweled helmet with interest, "Did they make you king or something?"
“Did Mud play skipping stones with his sending stone?
"Unfortunately, I heard a rumor a while back about a Platinum Dragonborn Sorcerer that ran afoul of the Cult of the Dragon near Xonthal's Tower. I'd hoped that it wasn't Mud but..." her face takes on a grim expression as she lets the thought hang unspoken.
"Unfortunately, not a simple family reunion, but I would say we are past those troubles. No, I am no king this was a gift from the tritons I helped. Though it might be some royal helm among the tritons." says Ketangu
The party converses, until the door opens, and two figures step inside. Lord Neverember grandly sweeps into the room, his long robe regal and newly sowed. Behind him shuffles a much worn looking Kevori, though she now wears a set of finely-crafted armor and a very shiny badge.
"Welcome my friends" Lord Neverember says, gesturing for you all to sit 'Thank you all for joining me, I do have news to share. And I'm afraid it isn't good. I daresay, terrible events are afoot. Specifically, four prominent citizens have been kidnapped in the past several days. May I count on your help in rescuing them?"
Kevori stands behind him, arms by her sides, looking very serious. Though she does give Jack a wink, remembering his kindness.

"Of course, Daggy!" Khessa smiles openly, ready to accept "If I was able to do what I just finished doing, it was also thanks to the contacts you were able to provide me. I will try to repay you in any way!"
The blonde arcane warrior's blue eyes stare intently and concentratedly at him: "Tell us everything, every detail you know. Maybe one of us will pick up some clues that will help us understand where to start to look for these people - or how to set up an ambush for the kidnappers".
"Haven't heard anything about other cults being active my friend." The dark-haired young man answers the scarred elf.
"So they are prominent, are they? Well then we must immediately come to their rescue." The dark-haired young man says with a polite smile, although those who know him better than the lord pretender would know he is being sarcastic. "And here I thought we were called to deal with a threat to the city." He then returns the wink to Kevori. It was good to know the lord at least had a good taste when it came to choosing his servants.
(Considering Jack's habit of visiting wealthy and prominent people in the city, he might perhaps know of these four. Since he acquired his silver mirror he have also taken up a habit of collecting personal possesions and even hair to better be able to monitor them when needed. He would most certainly make use of the mirror to try to locate the missing persons. :-)
Kit spots the wink, notes the response, and jumps to a conclusion. 'Why Jack, you cad,' she thinks as the tug of a smile pulls at the corner of her mouth, 'is that how you've been staying ahead of the city watch?'
She tries not to take his sly contempt for the missing highborns as a personal insult. While the missing poor certainly didn't get the attention they deserved from the city watch, that injustice did not justify the neglect of any missing souls...
Quite predictably, Khessa immediately jumped in with both feet, already plotting some complex stratagem that would, no doubt, require using one of them as bait...
Tabby, ever the watchful and curious cat, had kept her mouth closed, her ears open, and had already begun to take notes. 'Thank the gods at least one of us was born with a full ration of good sense,' Kit thinks to herself.

"Jack," she says with a nod, "still staying out of trouble I hope?"

"I trust things went well," she adds hopefully.
