Susk makes his way down to the good stashed at the corner. There's not a lot here, and then suddenly a bearded man with a red bandana comes around the corner and lays his hands on a bolt of silk as if to pick it up. Susk is in mid step and his foot lands and kicks a stone. The man looks up and sees Susk and his eyes widen.

The smuggler yells out "there's only one of 'em left! I'll grab him!" He draws his own dagger and throws it at Susk. "After I slow him down a bit," he says more softly, and runs at Susk after the dagger leaves his hand.
The dagger is way off the mark, Susk doesn't even have to dodge. The bearded smuggler closes the gap quickly and is now in front of Susk in melee range. He looks like he is going to try and grapple Susk next turn.
The smuggler comes to an almost comical halt as he sees a dragonborn charging at him and swinging a great hammer. He tries to dodge, which avoids most of the force of the blow, but the maul knocks the smuggler back. Luckily for him his leather armour does its job and absorbs the remaining force of the blow. (His AC is 13, combination of dex and leather, so Rask's blow missed).
Irob'sfire bolt catches the smuggler in the chest - he screams and bats at his beard which managed to catch alight. He manages to put it out. (Smuggler is bloodied)
Yga will ensure that the captives are secure (roped, gagged). She will stay and guard them but keep an ear out for any calls for help in battle....she will inform the party of her plans.

Susk's rapier skewers the man who looks surprised at the spreading red stain on his tunic. He falls to the ground, gasping, but only for a short time.
Zaerra readies her fire bolt, hearing multiple footfalls coming down the corridor. The first to round the corridor cops the spell in the shoulder, he screams and clasps it, then grits his teeth and continues on.
Yakeerk fires an arrow at the same target - Attack: 16 Damage: 4.
Yakeerk's arrow finishes off the injured smuggler.
Yga pokes her head around the corner, it seems like her colleagues are doing well. She decides to stay put and keep an eye on the captives.
There are three more smugglers who came around with the now deceased one. This fall upon Susk and Rask, fighting with the desperation of those who believe they will be given no quarter.
Smuggler 1 attacks Rask, using a cutlass in one hand and a dagger in the other:

Smuggler 2 attacks Susk - he seems very proficient and attacks twice with his cutlass:

Smuggler 3 seems less proficient than the other two, but still attacks Rask with desperation with his cutlass:
Rask gets double teamed by two smugglers whose blades slice into the vulnerable parts of her armour. The dragonborn staggers back against the wall. Her maul drops to the floor as she tries to staunch the bleeding. Rask collapses to the ground.
Zaerra looks around her, so many to choose from! To save herself the choice she will cast Word of Radiance on all foe she can see. (Con save req from them)

Irob hearing and seeing the commotion will run down the hallway and loose a firebolt at the smuggler next to Susk as soon as he is within sight.
