Tarak nods to them all and descends down the cliff into his boat. See you all at dinner! He called to them.
Adiron spreads his wings, I'll be there. then launches into the air winging towards Dragons Rest.
The party walks along the path, the view is spectacular. The rainbow reaches high into the sky. You can fel the difference that lifting the evil has made. The breeze is warm.
As you walk along you can hear something in the bushes following you, the soft sound of feathered wings, and twigs snapping.
Krack notices that Beans is looking into the woods, his eyes rolling.
A hungry screech makes him wince and as he turns back a small bundle of feathers and fur tumbles onto the path before you. Krack recognises it as a baby owlbear cub. Somehow it had lost its mother. Around its neck is a whistle.
"Oh, Beans he is almost as cute as you. Or her?" Krack says.
He will cast Speak with Animals, and then say "Hi baby owlbear, are you hungry, would you like a berry? I make them myself. They will cure your hunger!"
Animal Handling: 4 / 17 (rolling w/ advantage just in case because of spell, your call.)
His chirping and shrieking translates to: Hungry, want meat. Mother is injured she can't hunt. Help mother. Use whistle she knows the call, your music help too? Here humans use, and he darted towards Krack holding his whistle up. His eyes are huge and full of unshed tears. Are berries good?
He dances in place jumping up and down circling around Krack
The little cub bounces up and down as Krack takes a deep breath and blows the Whistle. Human called me Hlar , you too. Krack tries again, this time the whistle gives off a squeal.
You can hear something coming your way, bushes are snapping, and you can make out a deeper screech.
The first thing you notice as a huge owlbear runs towards you is the sheer size, next is the fact that she is running on only three paws, the other is lifted from the floor the shoulder held taunt. A Kobold arrow sticks out of it, blood dripping down her feathers. The kobolds had obviously been hunting, owlbear pelts sell well. She grabs towards Hlar drawing him into her embrace to protect him. He wiggles out to stand beside Krack. He wants to help mother.
Krack whistles again and she sits down. Her eyes sharp on him for instructions - she was tame, no doubt from some travelling show.
"Hello mother of Hlar" he says, "I am Krack and these are my friends. What is your name? We have vanquished a great evil today, but it seems like there is still good work to be done before dinner. Can we help you? We can remove the arrow from your shoulder and you can have one of my magic healing berries!" and he'll hold a good berry out for her to inspect.
The large owlbear leans forward to sniff at the berries Food. Prefer meat she says then leans forward to give a berry to Hlar before taking one for herself. Arrow hurts, help. Men called me Griallle, men gone now, shipwreck on the coast.
"Oh you poor dear, let me help." She approaches slowly with open palms and gentle soothing sounds. She starts with an offering of dried meat sticks from her pack. The priest examines the wound and lets the beast know there might be paint involved.
Shayla cleans out the injury and then casts Healing Word a couple times in an effort to make things right.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
Grialle gently took the meat from Shaylas hand. She took small, quick bites thoroughly masticating them then pulled Hlar to her as she regurgitated the bar straight into the cubs open mouth. Hlar nudged her for more. His trill begging.
She crouched down next to Shayla offering her the shoulder that was injured. After Shaylas treatment she put down her paw and tried to move about. It was still a little sore but now she could hunt again. She rose up to her full height and rubbed her head against Shaylas. It tickled. Good, better now!
"Well done Shayla! I'm glad you feel better Grialle. We are heading to the Observatory. Many nice people there, friendly and good! If you like, we can tell them about you and little Hlar? Perhaps you find some friends there and they can give you some meat or something? If you prefer to be by yourselves I understand, but the Observatory is grand place!"
Grialle moved her head to the side in a query as Krack passes on the message from Theodor. Finally she say in a range of screeches. Territory mine now, you friends may pass. Good food for hunt here. Thank you.
Theodor
"I think it goes without saying, I would prefer to walk as well. If I may?"

"The berries are very good, they make you not hungry and feel better. I'll save one for your mother too, she'll feel better.
Show us where your mother is, we'll help her. My name is Krack, what's your name?"
He'll take the whistle and look at the others, unless there are any objections, he will blow the whistle.
Shayla
Shayla is alarmed at first, but is quickly charmed by the furry feathery creature. Hopefully the whistle growls are a positive thing.

Theodor is wary of the huge owlbear. But as his party members warm up to Grialle and Hlar, he lowers his guard.
"Krack, can you tell them they should be safe now, we scared off the evil kobolds"

This island has been full of surprises, both good and bad. Hopefully the work they have done will make this the safe sanctuary it is supposed to be.

"Well happy hunting to you! We'll tell the good people your here and they should leave you alone."
She will take the whistle and attempt to drape it back on Hlar's neck or hand it to Grialle, whichever seems more accepting from the owlbears.
"Well gang, shall we head onward and get our dinner?"
She smiles and little Hlar and waves goodbye.
