• Zyllynne chops down the green cultist and follows through with a slash to the yellow one! (Green down)
• Davis slashes at the pink cultist, landing two solid blows but not ending the threat just yet!
• Katarina rushes towards the blue cultist, missing with her first reckless attack but hitting with her second swing.

  • Yellow reaches out to lay a withered hand on the fairy, casting inflict wounds. (Attack: 12 Necrotic Damage: 14)
  • Blue turns to face its feline assailant and causes flame-like radiance to fall on Katarina (Make a DC14 Dex save or take 12 radiant damage), then creates a spiritual weapon that also attacks the barbarian. (Attack: 19 Force Damage: 7)
  • Pink remains focused on Davis, shifting to the same attack plan as his blue companion. (Cast sacred flame - make a DC14 Dex save or take 16 radiant damage), then creates a spiritual weapon that also attacks the paladin. (Attack: 18 Force Damage: 5)

Ouch... Kat failed her save and got hit by the spiritual weapon. The feline is starting to look pretty banged-up...

Vanizi moves around the corner to again approach the room with the cultists in it. As her previous target had been killed, she shifts her Hex to another cultist (yellow).  She then casts Eldritch Blast at it, causing two beams of crackling energy to fly towards it.

Making a note of the damage Katarina has been taking, she calls out to her. "Just hold on for a moment and we'll get to dealing with your injuries." 

Davis Dex Save 15

Katarina screams in fury as she gets hit... twice! by the Blue cultist... First, she uses her reaction to re-roll her Wild Surge: 7

Flowers and vines sprout up in a 15-ft radius circle around Katarina, creating difficult terrain for the cultists.

Anyway, Katarina continues trying to hack the Blue cultist's head off with two reckless attacks from her crystal longsword.

Attack: 26 (19, 26); Damage: 13 (magical slashing) + 5 (radiant)
Attack: 27 (27, 18); Damage: 14 (magical slashing) + 1 (radiant)

Attacks against Katarina have advantage until the start of her next turn due to Reckless Attack

• Vanizi hexes and blasts the yellow cultist, dropping him to the ground beside the green one!
• Katarina slashes through the blue cultist, steps forward, and brutally attacks the pink cultist, killing them both and ending the threat in this room!

Zyl wipes her hands off with a satisfied look. "Ha! Bad cultists. We showed them! Now, what's over here..." She began to look around, checking the room out closer. "Eww how creepy! Bad books! But this is one is super neat!" Zyl grabs a book of bad poetry with the gold plated cover and stuffs it in her bag. "There's more here with scroll spells or something." She held up a book on Neverwinter's history and then put it back down before gasping. "Oooooh another secret passage, look!" She'll pull open the secret door and reveal the tunnel to others.

Investigation - 24

Vesta tries to investigate the room with Zyl, but she has been so distracted by thoughts of the cult that she is completely off her game. She sighs deeply with frustration and even shakes her head to try and clear it.

"I'm so sorry everyone," she says. "I'm usually better at this. You found a secret passage, Zyl?"

"Oh yeah! It would be so much cooler if we weren't in this creepy crypt thing. But yeah right over here!" Zyl points excitedly.

"How's everyone feeling, do we need to take a short rest or should we continue? All these books and scrolls, we could look over them a bit while we rest. I'm fine with either decision."

He will take a quick look at the cultists, see if anything of interest / value while we decide.

Vanizi comes over to Katarina as the fighting ceases. "I can help you a bit with your wounds Ifc they are serious. Although I know I've taken a few injuries as well." She looks around at the others. "How are the rest of you doing.  Perhaps it's time for a brief rest?"

"Oh yeah sure we can rest. Just wish it wasn't in this dingy dirty tomb is all. But it's okay with me! Hit a lot of things already, gotta get ready to hit more right?"

(You can take a short rest here, keeping an eye on the passage to make sure you aren't surprised by wandering cultists =)

During the rest, besides keeping an eye on the halls, Davis will search the books and scrolls.
