(OOC: I think the Dex save for Faith is because she is standing next to the gear so she would have been able to stabilize Beltha and than she was grappled. Also I really wish Jessa was next to Rogferr so he could not fail his concentration save. I have a +6 to con saves and used heroic inspiration and still rolled a 2 and 3. Rogferr looses concentration on Hunter's Mark again.)
Action: Attack
Attack 1: Scimitar to hit: 17 Damage: 6
Attack 2: Scimitar to hit: 16 Damage: 8
Attack 3(Nick): Handaxe to Hit: 23 Damage: 8
BA: Second Wind: Heal 12 HP
Note: Was attempting to type my turn out fast because I am at work but all of Rogferr's attacks are non-lethal for this turn
Hopefully Faith managed to stabilize our target before getting grabbed by the gear. Waiting for the next update to find out....
Gimble will cast Vortex Warp on Faith and teleport her out of the gears and next to Beltha. Then move into the room sticking close to the left wall an moving as far as he can without getting near any gears or in melee with an enemy
(OOC - I take the DM's comment to suggest Belthas was stabliized, but if somehow Faith couldn't do that, then Jesa would change her move to provide 1 hp of healing to keep her alive.)
Jesa continues forward towards Kythkyr, standing beside Rogferr. She again invokes her Shield of Faith on herself, then strikes twice with her longsword. (Longsword Attack: 23, Damage: 12 slashing) (Longsword Attack: 17, Damage: 14 slashing) (If one of the attacks hit, Stasis Strike: 5 force; WIS Save DC 14 or be restrained)
With a final surge, Jessa presses the attack and together you finally cut down the aberrant frog creature! Beltha is indeed stabilized by Faith, her wounds no longer bleeding out as profusely as they were. The room quiets from the din of battle, leaving only the noise of the turning cogwheels as a quiet, but noticeable hum.
(Combat over!)
The book is easily recoverable by now as well, meaning you can begin your journey back to the more orderly side when you are ready.
Beltha does not seem to have much on her, but on the balcony there are a few pieces of symmetrical art that could be worth a relatively small amount of gold potentially.
Eithne slowly slings her bow back over her shoulder and, retrieving the logbook, tries to examine it. She's genuinely curious to understand what value it might have for Beltha—and for her possible plans to bring some healthy chaos to the boring reality of Automata. Unless the theft of the logbook itself contributed to the chaos... But the Lone Survivor doesn't rule out the possibility that the text might contain information useful for sowing chaos in another way.
'But... why are you interested, Eithne?' the Voices in her head quickly echo. 'We're not here to sow chaos!' 'Bring the prisoner to the authorities, so we can leave this place soon!' 'I just want to be sure of the nature of what we're returning,' the Savage Wanderer explains in her mind. 'I don't know... It all seems so... strange, futile... A fight with dead and wounded... over a simple logbook? I want to understand.'
Faith is inclined to bring the art objects but give them back to Beltha when we turn her in.
Before setting off, Faith will check everyone's condition and distribute some healing as needed.
From the character sheets I see: Eithne: Full heath Esta: Fulll health Faith: 15/33 Gimble: Full health Jesa: 28/52 Rogferr: 53/70
Assuming these are correct, Faith will cast a 1st level Cure Wounds on herself and Rogferr, and a 2nd level Cure Wounds on Jesa Faith: 16 HP healed Jesa: 24 HP healed Rogferr: 13 HP healed That will put us in better shape for traveling :-)
Rogferr will investigate the area and Beltha for anything of value.
Investigation Roll: 13
“I am happy to carry Beltha if we wish to travel with her unconscious. I just need to bind her hands with rope first.”
Faith offered, "Might want to bind her feet as well to keep limbs from flopping around while carrying her. I can help carry her if you get tired from it, and I'll keep an eye on her to make sure her wounds don't reopen."
"Thank you, Faith. The healing is much appreciated," Jesa says. She also looks about the room, until she spots Gimble. She slowly steps towards him. "Hey there Gimble, you have any idea what all this stuff is in here? All the machinery? I figure you would if anyone." Once she's right next to him, she asks in a much quieter voice, "Are you ok?"
Faith comes up to Gimble and asks, "Are you OK? Anything I can do to help?"
Gimble whimpers and shakes his head.
He gets through a few more parts before he rests on "Gimble, Gimble... Gimble" he takes a deep calming breath and stands up. Moving to join the party as if nothing happened

"Hey there Gimble, you have any idea what all this stuff is in here? All the machinery? I figure you would if anyone." Once she's right next to him, she asks in a much quieter voice, "Are you ok?"
"Okay." *He starts to study the machinery closely, without getting dangerously close
Hearing everyone's concern for Gimble, Eithne raises her azure eyes from the logbook, perplexed...
'Poor thing!' the Lone Survivor instinctively thinks 'Maybe he also has voices in his head that won't leave him alone! I didn't realize this curse of mine was spreading to others...' 'Thank you, Eithne!' the Voices in her head had commented sarcastically. 'It's nice that you appreciate our company so much...' '...Our continued support...' '...Our continued help...' 'I'm grateful,' she puts a hand to her temple, gritting her teeth to fight the pang of pain from the tide of voices that, unfortunately, this time, had all come together, 'for all the times you help me... After all, you're my people... But it's the "continued" part which can sometimes be difficult to handle'.
Fortunately, however, the situation seems to calm down on its own: Gimble calms down and begins studying the machinery—in a manner that seems to denote great competence, by the way—while the Voices, after their explanations, descend into more easily ignored grumbles. The Savage Wanderer then resumes her examination of the logbook.
It is impossible to tell what exactly the gears and such are turning, but Gimble could easily infer that these cogs would be found throughout this region, as if the this entire area is one giant machine with innumerable moving parts all moving in a clockwork fashion. He would, however, also note that these cogs are not ticking in time with each other, but erratically, further evidence of the more chaotic nature of the Inverse.
[[ OOC: @DM: And what about the logbook? Can Eithne identify any information Beltha could have used in her plans to sow chaos? Or is it more likely that the "chaos" was simply the logbook's theft? ]]
Once the logbook's investigation is complete, Eithne closes it, puts it safely in her backpack, and prepares for the return journey: "Our collaboration is off to a complete success, it seems. We've both recovered what was stolen and captured the thief. I really hope the authorities will now let us recover the data from the portal as we should. Good job".

Gimble is sitting in a corner holding his knees to his chest.
He's repeating the head motion of rubbing his ear on his scarf and is listing small machine parts.
"Mainspring, Barrel, Gear Train..."

"Same gears, different machines. No clock. The machines here have no synchrony, no syncopation. For a plane of order... This is extremely disorderly"
Gimble says planely. He stands awkwardly looking at Beltha until the party moves on
