As the foe in front of him drops, Vidar scans the room, assessing the situation. He will give 13 temp hit points to the party member who looks to be in the most danger before turning his focus to the creature in front of him.
Passoveloce is feeling a little the worse for wear, and wants to lick his wounds for a bit. He does not know if Jerot is the cold-handed mage, so is wary and he inspects the room for other signs of the cold handed mage. Meanwhile we should search Jerot's body and inspect the room and see if there are other exits. He says "Was that the cold-handed mage? He seemed different. If not he could still be in this room, or there is another exit - we need to search." And so saying he inspects the room.
Inspect room: 20 (Naked D20. If uses investigation - +0, if uses perception +11)

Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
Passoveloce takes 5-10 minutes to thoroughly explore the room and discovers the following: a) after carefully examining Jerot he reaches the conclusion that he is not the cold handed mage which means that it is highly likely that particular mage is somewhere else in the complex b) there is a locked chest under the desk c) having loooked behind all of the tapestries - all of which depict various undead feasting - I.e. ghouls rippling flesh from corpses, vampires draining blood from helpless victims, etc - on the walls he discovers no more secret doors other than the one they entered by d) there is a door in the northwest corner of the room e) and perhaps most interestingly a series of writings on the table.
As Passoveloce examines the notes he discovers they talk about a means of harvesting people secrets from their unwilling bodies and then garnering those secrets for the Undying King. The notes describe how the process was tested on a couple of out-of-towers and now Jerot is prepared to unleash it on the citizens of Neverwinter!
Even once Lucas heard the din of battle die down, the "wizard" still sat in his corner and waited for several minutes(if someone didn't come out to get him first) more for good measure, before beginning the slow of process of returning to the group, peeking around every corner along the way. "Everything good in here?"He asks once in easy speaking distance of the largest grouping of folk. "If so, uhh.. h-how bad everyone looking? 'cause I can help with a bit of triage if need be, but, uhh.. I think after all of us caught the equivalent of several fireballs to the face, maybe it's time to take a bit of a breather? 'summin' of course there weren't no other runner we aughta be looking out fer. 'cause I'm gonna be real with ya, I'm starting to run a little low on the tank, if ya catch my drift."
"Tch! Well that about figures."Lucas grouses, then began making his way towards the collection of notes. "Well, might as well take those with us. Most likely anyone they've harvested is completely facked, but...*sigh*... could be with a bit of time to look over those notes later, I or someone I dare say smarter than me could maybe better reverse the process, if not come up with a solution to resist it." He'd convey, or try to before anyone thinks to destroy the notes over any misguided notions. Once the notes are secured in his backpack, Lucas -- against his better judgement -- stuck around to watch Passoveloce work on the chest and see what was inside.

Passoveloce finds no traps on the lock and picks it with ease. Inside the chest he sees a pile of dragons (GP), shards and shields (SP) and scattered throughout there are several unicorns and suns (PP). Sitting on top of the coins are a pair of boots, a battered hat and a copper bowl that is decorated with wave and other water images.

Vidar studies the tapestries, to see if they recall anything his lord had mentioned to him upon his departure to this realm.
History: 3
After studying the tapestries he turns to Passoveloce and looks over the items, "All I can deduce is I'm sure they have some sort of value as they were locked away but magic is not my forte, so I would not be able to help in that regard. No harm in bringing them with us. But if we are done here, best we keep moving to not let anyone get away."
"Whoo-wee~ Now ain't that a tidy sum."Muttered Lucas upon sighting the coin. At Passoveloce request afterwards he grabbed the hat to give it a once over, but found himself chuckling and looking up to Vidar partway through the examination. "Brother man, I'm pretty sure that ship has /long/ since sailed. 'cause ain't no way this guy knew was just waiting in here with his thumb up his ass without letting his fellow's know somehow; 'specially considering how long it took us to find the door, on top of searching this room for any more secret passages way." He explained to Vidar, then finally took a moment to give the others a once over.
"And I kind of hate to say it, but.... eh, we waaaay too beat to shit to be charging into another gaggle of chuckle****s that all know the spell fireball... or, ya know, its equivalent. Now, I can sorta patch us up a bit. But somethin' tells me relying on a couple of bandaids to see us through another encounter. Now without someone kicking the bucket, at least. So, I'll ask plainly if ya'll really want to keep trucking along on that little bit of triage, or are we gonna sit our happy asses down fer a sec and properly get ourselves treated first? If it ain't obvious, my stance is to go with the latter, but I am a sucker for democracy."
