Indeed, the Bullywug's bite reaches the Aasimar's shoulder, and she squints her green eyes in pain, letting out a low groan.

Khessa protests, "Noo! Take it out on me, you scum of the waters!" and swings her Greatsword wildly to decapitate the first opponent (Bullywug 1) and try to get into the fray with all the others.

Round 2

The Bullywug's head actually ends up rolling between the legs of the other three. The surviving Bullywug is much less confident as he tries to continue fighting the blonde arcane warrior, and croaks something desperately at his companions as he attacks.

Uncertainty is not the best ally in battle... and the Bullywug's hesitant attacks completely miss their target.

"Shut up, you!" Diabolical then taunts him, taking aim with another bolt from her trusty hand crossbow. "The mushroom right next to me is already more than enough to break my eardrums!"

The dart enters through an ear and pierces the Bullywug's brain: "Hey! I was afraid I hit an empty spot... Do you really have a something in there!?" she taunts him a last time, as the monster falls dead on his back.

Bullywug 3 then takes courage and presses the tall adventuress, temporarily left without opponents.

Round 2

The Bullywug unleashes a storm of rapid attacks on Khessa, and some of them land... but speed has come at the expense of power, and the blonde arcane warrior gets away with a few more bruises under her chainmail. "Let's now apply our original plan, friends!" she then shouts.

Rapha'ellya understands and she simply defends herself, trying to keep her Bullywug busy. The Bullywug doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry to go and deal with Khessa, so he is quite happy to try to hit the cleric.

Khessa notes with relief that the Aasimar manages to defend herself from all of the attacks - even that last, insidious bite that seemed about to hit her. "You are truly annoying... you know?" the blonde arcane warrior snarls, as she swings her Greatsword once more, now bringing it in an upward arc to threaten Bullywug 3's leg "Don't be surprised, then, if you make me really mean..."

The poor Bullywug is rather surprised - one moment his thigh was attached to his body; the next, he is on the ground, his thigh is meters away, a pool of blood quickly spreads beneath him and a searing pain tears him apart... Then darkness.

"Way to go, Khessa!" Diabolical encourages the tall adventuress, then takes aim at the last survivor, the one fighting with the Aasimar cleric...

Diabolical's Hand Crossbow Attack: 10 Damage: 8 (piercing) + 6 (sneak attack) = 14

But the last Bullywug leaps forward with a surprising leap, landing on Khessa, finally deciding to confront her - since otherwise she would be the one to come to him anyway.

So bolt then misses. Rapha'ellya, who was continuing to defend herself as instructed, holds her breath...
