I'll need shared products to create my character, but here's what I'll be building if picked:
Name: Venel Erdurah
Race: Yuan-Ti (reflavored as a more poison-focused Green Dragonborn)
Class: Bard (College of Eloquence), Rogue (Phantom or Swashbuckler), or Warlock (Fiend Patron reflavored to be Tiamat) depending on which role needs to be filled.
Backstory: One of Venel’s ancestors was the favored servant of a powerful green dragon. Infused with their master’s power this power was passed down their family line and shows itself in Venel’s green scales and natural charm.
If a Bard:
Venel’s parents weren’t rich, but they had enough money to pay for his training as a Bard when he showed a talent for it. Whether singing or playing the flute or viol, he had the skill to become a professional musician but had no desire to be an entertainer. Finding that his abilities allowed him to not only inspire others to greatness but also cast spells Venel decided to use the skills he’d gained to become wealthy.
If a Rogue:
Venel grew up having to use his wits and sharp reflexes to stay alive. Ready with a blade in the dark or a disarming smile on his face he stole purses and hearts alike until the law caught up with him and he had to flee. Having moved on from the streets he’s ready to amass a treasure hoard as an adventurer.
If a Warlock:
Venel envied the power wielded by Sorcerers and Wizards, but didn’t have the inherent power to become a Sorcerer or the patience to study to become a Wizard. When his dreams were visited by Tiamat, Goddess of Evil Dragons, he was tempted to make a pact with her for the powers of a Warlock. Although he retains his free will, he’s constantly tempted to use his powers to just take what he wants. Venel seeks knowledge as much as wealth, plundering tomes of lore alongside gold and gems.
Magic item: Stone of Good Luck (if Bard or Rogue) Rod of the Pact Keeper (if Warlock)
Bokshir started life as an unassuming, forgettable minion of a gold dragon, one of many assigned to guard their horde. He became extraordinary purely by accident when he happened to interrupt a would be thief who had gained access to said horde. The reality of the situation was that the thief inadvertently tripped over the sleeping Bokshir as they exited stage left, catching the attention of the returning dragon.
Misinterpreting the situation, the dragon rewarded Bokshir with an affinity with fire itself, something which he is still getting to grips with. He is certainly enjoying himself as he does so, finding that his new found abilities make him a force to be reckoned with.
He was also rewarded with a sentinel shield from the horde to keep him ever vigilant.
Bokshir - Mechanically a Wildfire Druid but thematically more like a fire dragon's avatar!
(OOC: I notice a fellow kobold present among the applications, and would be more than happy to come up with a shared backstory should both characters be chosen)
I sent a PM to the chosen players. If you didn't receive one, then you're not in the game. Thanks everyone for applying, there were a lot of great options and you all made amazing characters! Good luck to everyone with their next adventure!
