Silk waits a little for the others to plan, then says, "I'll go position myself to shoot at them with my bow from behind the cover of the bushes.  I'll move ahead and wait for you all to initiate the battle."

"I think we should just charge them! Either they will be smart and run when they see us or be dumb and provide fun for me!" Fiznik grips his greataxe in both hands with a devilish grin across his face.

Grixx will say, "I like the sorcerer's idea.  It will free me up to do what I do best.  Make your illusion and let's come upon them quickly and deadly."  Grixx draws his shortsword

Grixx crouches and begins to creep up to the edge of the hill ensuring not to clear the bend yet and awaits the illusions to take place.

OOC: my spell Minor Illusion can only be 30ft away from me, probably not far enough. I will create the illusion on the same side of the river but opposite to where we hide.

Elvoril nods. He approaches the bridge, staying in the shadows. Looking at the bridge, he notices one little bush on the other side of the road. As he Whispers his spell, the shadows of the bush starts to move and a small gnome appears, looking straight at the guards, not moving.
The face of the gnome shows deep fear, he looks like he is petrified. He wears noble outfits and carry a chest, open, full of gold pieces.

The two cultists on the bridge look surprised when the gnome initially appears from the foliage, but quickly bark orders to the 4 kobolds and point in the gnome's direction. The four kobolds immediately charge toward the gnome while the 2 cultists remain sneering on the bridge.

Fiznik will also cast Minor Illusion to make a gnome looking just like him behind the Kobolds that the cultists see, but not the Kobolds.

*** The gnome looks like Fiznik, because he believes when he hit his head he can make copies of himself. So his minor Illusion is always a copy of him.

Rilla will charge the bridge if the kobolds are out of the way, otherwise she'll charge the kobolds.

Seeing a battle-hardened gnome wielding a giant axe and sporting a self-confident smirk materialize before their eyes startles the cultists for a moment before they realize that they are being targeted by illusory spells. They try to call off the kobolds (without success) as they begin to move toward the illusion to prove it as such when, suddenly, they see a large dragonborn clear the bend in the distance, charging full-bore in their direction!

(ooc: Dag, Fiznik, Silk, Elvoril, and Rilla may all post their actions. The kobolds are currently near the brush where they first saw the gnome appear and are still chasing it and the cultists are still on the bridge looking at Rilla and standing near Fiznik's gnome. The enemy is not technically surprised as they know something is afoot, but Elvoril, Silk, and Grixx are all hidden in the brush and may attack with advantage.)
