Ozus walks over to the body of the cultist who had cast the fireball, delivering a sift kick to the corpse, scoffing in disgust. "Bastard. Some people have no respect for fashion." Despite his attempt at mockery, there is still an undeniable tremor of fear in his voice, and his hands appear to be shaking.
"Ryeiur " he mutters, the dark threads of his magic mending his damaged clothes, covering his scars once more.
Larry helps look through the fallen for anything of note. "The Teeth, hunh? Interesting. Gruesome, but interesting." He seems as disappointed about the absence of anything apparently meaningful as the others.
"Sure, let's scout the rest of the outer area. Now that our presence has been thoroughly announced the more time we give them the less prepared they will be, right? On the other hand, the more worked up and worried they could get, too. Trade-offs."
Khessa holds one of the rings with 4 keys on it and invites the other members of the party to do the same: "I know, we have someone whose skills often make keys superfluous... but since we found them, why not take them?"
The blonde arcane warrior then responds to Larry: "You have a point, but my hope is that we can free all the prisoners without having to enter the heart of the base. If we can do that, we can let the water do the rest - and farewell to the Cultists and their 'preparation'. But we can explore alternative courses of action together, of course. This was just what I had in mind".
Ozus picks up one of the necklaces, examining it closely. "You know, if one or two of us went ahead dressed as these 'teeth', we might be able to do some scouting, both in terms of finding the captives and gleaning whatever information we can from the other cultists."
"I would not be credible, with my armor ..." Khessa points out "The 'Teeth' don't wear any ... but if someone else wants to try this move, why not? At least for a certain distance, it should work".
Larry snickers. "Might be worth trying. If they heard the noise, they'll be looking closer than normal to see if their allies are hurt. Or not. These three seemed pretty fanatical. They might assume everyone else is dead, but one survived. Might. I'm not taking off my armor to try it, though."
"No armor, good liar. I can handle this one." Ozus doesn't hesitate, stringing the necklace of teeth around his neck, and doing a reasonably good job of hiding his rather distinct outfit with the cultist's robes.
[[ OOC: Oh, so I was remembering wrong? Aren't there any other unexplored parts before the room where we conducted the last battle with the Teeth? If so, then one of the new doors is as good as another... Maybe I'd avoid the south one, where the new Teeth came from, and choose the north one. ]]
"If you wish for backup Ozus, I can transform again into an inconspicuous animal and join you. Perhaps a spider on your shoulder so as to avoid immediate attention. That way we are two when they think only one" Naero offers his services to the disguised Ozus.
While the appropriate arrangements are being made, Khessa summons her Mage Hand again and makes good use of it to open the northern door.
Ozus and Naero, as Tooth and Familiar, will probably go ahead and explore... The blonde arcane warrior will give them a bit of a head start, then follow them in turn (so she can easily run to them if something goes wrong).

"Which way am I going exactly?"

I'm thinking maybe a performance check to see how well i disguise myself?
(Yes, performance check. If you have any sort of magical help you can make it at advantage)
Ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.

Thats a 19
(If the party hadn't watched you dress, they might attack you right now you look so much like a cultist. So where to now?)

I think we still have this way to explore. I'd say to go for it!
(That way is the other room that Shanzezim told you about, it has additional wheels to control the water levels)

(Yes, everything behind you is basically explored. You never technically went into the other room, but the Marid described it to you pretty well.)

"Naero right? I've had worse on my shoulder, a spider would be fine."

I figure we keep a room ahead of the others, at least
(Ok, if you're all set, figure out which way you'd like to go)

[ooc]South?[/ooc]
Larry watches the costuming and disguise, and the shape-shifting. "I really hope this works. It could."
//ooc: south sounds good//
Taking one of the sets of keys with them, Ozus goes through the south door.
