Zale peaks through her door, attempting to see if the kobold is still in the next room.... she's attempting to either slip out before he wakes up, or wait until he leaves before doing so herself.
Perception: 6 (welp...she's still cursed XD)
(She did try on the circlet last night....though she still plans to ask Eric if he can reforge it into a horn ornament without loosing it's magical abilities.)
"What happened, dear?" says the dwarf to Khessa "You're not your usual self" he wanders around her mumbling then says "Is the mark on you're neck all right?" he asks. Also, Eric castsDetect Magic
Khessa seems wary at first... "What do you mean? Can't you see it's still me?" she slowly spins around, letting herself be admired "I was hoping you still remembered me, after last night..." she insinuates, with an alluring voice.
"Oh, yes, the mark is really, really all right!" the blonde arcane warrior smiles smugly "But please, let's not talk about this in public... It should be a secret..."
"Come on, let's focus on our important mission..." the tall adventuress tries to pronounce the words in a reasonable tone "We can't leave the slightest advantage to the majestic dragon queen... Or such a cunning and powerful opponent could easily prevail! Let's move, before she, resourceful as she is, can discover our plans and take countermeasures!"
[[ OOC: No idea if Detect Magic detects anything... I'll leave the answer to the DM on this one. ]]

Well, during your "try" you notice all things the item does. Do note that when you take off the circlet you also don't have the +1 to one of your anymore. Please let me know which stat you would like to increase. (This is to prevent you to have a +1 on STR on one day and +1 on CON on another).

It seems multiple spells (from multiple schools) are used. Including (but not limited to) Enchantment and Evocation.
[[ OOC: Eric knows that Khessa succeeded on her saving throw and she is thus not affected by this spell ]]
"Of course I am Khessa, dwarf!" the blonde arcane warrior exclaims, indignantly, hurrying out of the area of effect "How dare you compare me to our enemy! Is this how you show your adoration for me?! Enough of this nonsense... it's time to act!"
[[ OOC: The description of the spell states that you know whether the target saves or not. And I think the target could decide not to resist - thus autofailing the save... so the save should have been attempted willingly. ]]
"How dare!" yells back Eric "Am I just A Dwarf to you!?" Eric rises his hand toward Khessa's mark and casts Dispel magicin despair, with all the power he is capable of (his dispel check is 24) "You, are not who claim you are, give her back to me!"
OCC: @DM: I don't know if Eric is actually capable to dispel Khessa's mark, regardless his high roll, he tries to do so anyway, driven by anger and dispair... Also he thinks he may, if not able to dispel the mark, to trigger some reaction from Khessa's conscience.... or from Tiamat's xD
[[ OOC: Great! So I'll wait to find out if this love-empowered Dispel Magic has any effect, before posting Khessa's reaction...
However, this Mark is definitely not going to stay... It had its uses, granted. In the final stages of Part 1 it may have even saved our lives, considering how many times it allowed Khessa to damage enemies that she would have otherwise missed. But it is becoming a bit too annoying to keep. Khessa will try to get rid of it; she has better options now, like Multiattack... by now, the increasing disadvantages of the Mark outweigh its advantages. ]]
Eric stands across from Khessa, his face twisted in concentration. He raises his hands and begins to recite the words of the Dispel Magic spell. A soft glow envelopes his hands as the magical energy builds. Khessa looks at him, her soul (trapped in her own mind) filled with hope and fear.
When Eric completes the spell, a beam of magical energy shoots towards Khessa's mark. The tattoo begins to glow with a bright light, as if responding to the spell. For a moment it seems like the magic of the tattoo is starting to fade, but then something unexpected happens.
The glow of the tattoo changes color, from a bright white to a deep, sinister red. A cold wind blows through the room, filling the air with a menacing presence. Eric feels a powerful counterforce repelling his spell, as if an invisible hand is pushing back his magic.
Suddenly, the real Khessa (still trapped in her own mind) hears a whisper, a voice she recognizes as Tiamat's. Do you really think you can remove my mark that easily? The voice is full of contempt and power. Khessa feels a chill flow all over her mind, but outwardly she shows nothing.
The tattoo now glows bright red and radiates intense heat. Eric is thrown backward by the force of the counter reaction, his spell completely nullified. The room is filled with a menacing silence, and the glow of the tattoo slowly fades, but remains visible.
Khessa raises an eyebrow and looks at Eric with a smug expression: "Satisfied now? And most of all... are you still so eager to thwart me, knowing that I can do whatever I want to the butter-mind of the pathetic mortal you claim to care so much for?"
"I want you to stop buzzing around me like a fly, dwarf" Khessa smirks with evil superiority. "You and the other flies that follow you. Not that I fear you, of course - but, like flies, you annoy me. Stop buzzing, dwarf... because remember... from today onwards you know very well that you can never be sure who you are about to sleep with!"
A final smile of satisfied mockery, then the blonde arcane warrior falls silent, remaining nearby, but limiting herself to idly looking at the surrounding panorama, as if, convinced of having dictated inviolable conditions, the idea of being challenged did not even cross her mind.
...Given the rolls, I think Eric can suspect that something unusual happened - or is happening.

Is Eric able to determine the source of the spells and if they are coming from Khessa's brand or not?
Oh yes, the magic definitely comes from her mark. It's something you've never seen before and it's completely over your head.

"I'm sorry my dear" says Eric shaking his hand "but I need to know you're still the Khessa I know" then Eric waves his hand and casts Zone of truth
"Tell me, are you my Khessa, in your body and your mind? or the Dragon Queen has come to you once again?"

Eric takes Khessa's hand "is it gone?"
"I... I think so..." Khessa lets him take her hand and looks at Eric with her deeply troubled blue eyes "But what... what are we going to do now?"
