Xari grimaces as the blue drake's ferocity seems undiminished after the strikes from the big man's blade. What kind of unnatural beasts are these?
Worse, he sees his friend in the apparent process of committing heroic suicide by half-dragon. Part of Xari's soul rages against this. Wants to throw everything he has at the half-dragon. But his cerebral mind knows it would defeat the point of Hadrian's sacrifice, whether futile or not.
The big man looks up to the archers. "The kobolds are stronger when swarming in a pack! Finish the kobolds. Or the drake. Isolate the half-dragon!"
Xari stays put, unsure whether the half-dragon will take a similar opportunistic attack if he circles away.

With a grunt he sends another surge of power surging downward and through the half-dragon's form. He knows the half-dragon's heritage means it shrugs off the worst of the pain, but not all of it.
With his other hand, he pulls the air around him into a pressurised mass that he lobs down toward the kobold trying to break down the manor doors. The air explodes in a thunderous boom around the little beast.

Amidst the chaos Xarian's greatsword sweeps through the air as the group of kobolds tries to run past. The blade catches across their back, slicing through the spine and dropping them instantly. Next, the blue drake lets out a hiss of pain as the weapon is dragged across its foreleg, ripping apart scales and scalding the half-dragon next to it with green flame.
Still coiled around the cultist's leg, the tiny Snevelynstrikes out with lightning speed as one of the kobold's run past. Her fangs pierce skin and flesh with ease, injecting venom straight into the draconic humanoid's veins. By the time she's pulled herself back to the cultist, the kobold is already dead, crashing into the ground.
A crack of thunder rings out as Aimon's spell bursts atop the head of the sole kobold trying to break through the door, while Myrrencuts down the one who'd slipped a dagger through his armor with a single strike.
There's a flicker of something like annoyance in the half-dragon's eyes as both flame and lightning wash over his scales - but neither attack seems to have done enough to draw his attention away from Hadrianyet. The nobleman's insult seems get under the half-dragon's scales, "I'll feed your tongue to her hatchlings." He snarls, swinging the massive sword down in two successive arcs.

Seeing that the battle that once seemed impossible is now starting to turn in their favour, Aimon lets the worry on his face slowly dissolve into a hopeful smile. It's illuminated by the fresh surge of electrical energy that he sends down the tether into the half dragon below. Then he turns his attention to the drake companion beside it. Xari's protective Blade Ward proves insufficient to stave off the blue drake's tail (1d4 = 1, so 19 - 1 = 18 still would hit) but at the last moment, the big man splays the fingers of his free hand in a warding gesture, forming a shimmering, protective shield. Xarian's AC becomes 17 + 5 = 22 and the drake misses!
Over the past 24 hours or so, Xari has already come to consider Hadrian a close friend, bonded by brotherhood in combat, and by the strangeness of what had transpired in the red star cultists' cave outside Greenest. Yet in the last minute, the raven-haired man's self-sacrificing courage and Lord Myrren's words have left an indelible imprint on the big man's previously cynical attitude towards nobility. Clearly, some of them aren't as bad as others...
With the blue drake under assault from the elderly knight on the ground, as well as arrows and arcane magic from above, and the kobolds and raiders seemingly all perished, Xari finally switches targets. He swipes at the half-dragon's lower torso with his greatsword, +1, scoring a hit through a gap in the armor, though a less damaging one than he had hoped, the far greater height of his foe throwing off the big man's balance. Green flames leap once more from his blade, this time to the adjacent blue drake, hopefully finishing off the scaled beast.
