“Haz, drink that darned potion you been carrying this whole time wouldya?!”Merkas says barely above a whisper when Hastos coughs up more blood. “Ory, I got an Idea, it’s going to be a little odd but hoping you have the strength for it.”The kender starts mentally going through the things they have on hand. He removes one of the rings from his finger and hands it to her, “Pretty sure it’s a water walking ring, so either you or Hastos can wear it, then after we open this water valve and flood the hall out there, we can crack this door open and fill this place with water, us other two can hold onto, or maybe tie ourselves to the one wearing the ring and we get lifted up this shaft closer to the top, and hopefully from there get out of here”
His hands are moving a frantically, having completely forgotten to hand over the ring until one of them agrees to wear it. “Once we decide who has the ring, and puts it on, the other can open the door when it’s time, after I open this valve, Ory, if you would lend me your axe?”
Once the ring is situated, Merkas takes Ororana’s axe and wedges the blade in the handle of the valve so he can gain some advantage from the extra leverage. “Everyone Ready?”
Hastos to drink the common healing potion,
Ororana/Hastos wear the water walking ring
Merkas to open the water gate, using the axe handle like a valve wrench: 8 strength check (Used heroic inspiration for advantage = 9-1 for 8)
Ory/Haz to open door after outside chamber flooded.
if this is to much in a turn we can alter and adjust no problem.
Ororana blinks... snapping out of her shock. "Merkas... I live here. I've never once seen a manhole in Santekh. As far as I knew, we couldn't even tap into a water source to use a sewer system. We've been burying our... waste," She mentions with uncharacteristic tact. "I'm sure there's an exit there, but it's definitely buried, and perhaps sealed somehow. Could you, I dunno... blast it open or something with your wizard powers?" Ororana clearly doesn't know that Merkias doesn't realize he's a sorcerer. She pulls out her Wind Fan. "I've got this. It wasn't strong enough to break or crack any walls, but I've seen you launch things through the air with your mind. What if you did that with something strong and heavy? Ummm, like a stone or something? I could use my Fan to give it a little extra oomph?"
"What? They not manage get out? " She turns once outside the crypt. Sera know the answer to her own question and know that to turn...she and anyone facing that statue with a zombie in a leash wil probably be flattened. " wait!" She grab the Haregon eagerly " we know it is sewers...it should be floodgates or crate up here to let water down. And ventilation down there." Sera hurry a bit frenetic around looking for anything. But see nothing ( nat 1 on that perseption )
Getting even more frustrated she take a deep breath. " seems we must go back...and fight it..." She looks at Nare with a grim expression.
Heading back down will take an extra full round.
Outside the tiny chamber where Merkas, Hastos, and Ororana are, you hear the padded slap of a shambling zombie, which growls angrily at being restricted by the Sacred Statue's lumbering steps. In turn, the telltale echo of brass scraping against stone gets louder. Then creaking as it stoops down, and a heavy thunk! as it lands in the dried waterway. Judging by the sounds, it will be at your door soon.
"What? They not manage get out? " She turns once outside the crypt. Sera know the answer to her own question and know that to turn...she and anyone facing that statue with a zombie in a leash wil probably be flattened. " wait!" Getting even more frustrated she take a deep breath. " seems we must go back...and fight it..." She looks at Nare with a grim expression.
Ne'haredowell stares at Sera with fear in his eyes. In these seconds, he looks more like a prey animal than any humanoid. His pupils are dilated, and his ears flat against his back. "I- I don't know."He stammers when she grabs him by the shoulders. The brass scrapping against the stone makes him wince. "There's nowhere to go..." The stone tunnels around him fell dense, nothing like the bunny burrows back in-
"I think... I think if anyone can get out it is your crew." His mouth flattens to a line as he tries his hardest not the reflect Sera's fear back to her. "I don't think we.."No, he reminds himself, he wasn't even all there the first time Sera duked it out with the statue. Even that, she held on the strongest while he just stood there. His ears drop further, "I don't think I can handle it. No, not right now."He shakes his head.
"I can try to blind it- the shadows they can wrap around it, so it won't see," the harengon suggests, "Or try to blow it away. I'm don't know. I don't know-" And now they were spiraling.
At whatever Sera suggests, Nare will do. To him, she is the de facto leader. If neither of spell options are good, Nare will just continue to climb out the sewers.
Also I tried to roll for Lucky Footwork to see if Nare could've made the DEX Save with the extra d4 roll.... guess what... a 1... wow a GRAND TOTAL of 5 literally still
Hastos downs the healing potion. Common Healing Potion: (3+2+2=7). Hastos grunts in pain as his wounds begin to stitch themselves back together. As the pain subsides, he feels fresh energy search through him. His exhaustion leaves him, his muscles feel stronger, and he feels more focused.
“Let’s try that. But we don’t know what’s above us or what could come crashing down if it goes wrong, or right. We’re also in an airtight room. The concussion could kill us. If it fails and we survive, the next option is through that door.” Hastos says, pointing at the door. “But there’s that statue thing out there, and something else on its way. I doubt they’re going to be best friends. Maybe they’ll battle it out and we can pick off the winner?” Hastos shakes his head. “I don’t know, this is a shit situation.”
Sera cannot wait. Her friends might be trapped and fighting for their lives. She sighs...Dumping the extra burden of treasure on the floor ..keeping only the javeling , the deck of cards and wand that seems usable without training . She do worry it might be hurtful like Merkas tried a new horn..it exploded in his face. She hope theese items can be usefull... she give a final look at Nare
" I will not leave anyone behind...I not ask for you to risk your life Nare..it is your choice" then she turns and grip extra tight on her sword. It flares up brightly. ( increase light radius to max 30 feet bright and 30 feet dim )
And heads back down "Come face me you patetic excuse for a Sargonna lap dog. You got rust for brain after so long?! A marble block statue would be a better guardian than you!" Sera screams down the corridor and heads down. She take the deck...what ever this was she hoped it produce something neat. And as she close in she pull a card and throw it at the Statue. Flinch as she might expect a grand explosion or something...

“Ok, ok, but we gotta hurry, or else Sera’ll think we’re in danger and come after us, I still think it best we turn that water on either way, otherwise the things down here are waiting for us to get back.”
During his chatting the kender has crouched down and started going through the infinite bag he acquired,
“And the whole wizard thing, pretty sure I am not, but there seems to be some sort of magic in me, that extra frost on the slime thing?, I did that, like legitimately it’s exactly what I wanted snd it happened, not a wizard but magic for sure, just gotta figure it all out, maybe that’s all I can do, anyway…”
Merkas starts pulling things from his bag, Three bottles of Kiskartchi, a couple potion bottles with teeth labels on them, bag of coins, a book, and a holy symbol of Sargonas. “These three are like infused energy, Gramma tells me, these teeth ones I am not sure what they do but figured what the heck, a bunch of gold, this book that felt rather special, and Sir Goombas symbol we got from the cult guys up top. So for smashing through that ceiling, I figure we need something heavy, the bag of gold seems best or maybe the book but I figure it might just explode into a bunch of pages instead of smash anything.” Picking up a Kiskartchi he uncorks it and starts drinking it as he thinks. The rings on his hand clink against the bottle as he tips it up to finish it. “Oh! And I have these rings,” taking two of the identical ones off his hand he hands them to the others, “pretty sure these ones make you able to jump real high, might be useful if that ceiling does smash real easy”
He starts putting things back in the bag of holding, leaving out the Kiskartchi for Hastos and Ororana, one of the teeth bottles, and the bag of gold which he places in the cetnre of the room. “Alright lets see if I can get one of them magical things to happen again”concentrating on the the coin bag and then looking up at the ceiling he makes a big show of waving his arms around and the points at the ceiling and says “Fly!” And nothing happens. Frustrated he looks at the coins again and scratches his head. “Last time a dagger just shot off into the dark area, did I kick it or something?” Then he points from the coins to the ceiling and says “Hey, coins smash ceiling!” The bag flies off towards the ceiling “Now Ory!”

Nare’s floundering only stops when Sera lights her sun blade in front of him, which causes him to shield his eyes from the pain.
“Okay,” he says. After a moment of lagging behind, he exhales. The harengon accepts his fate and follows in after her. He doesn’t know what to say to her letting him have left, but she’s right, he couldn’t live with himself to leave another team behind. “Where are we going,” He whispers as they head back.
At the sight of the beholder, Nare’s mouth opens in awe. He looks over at her with a ‘No way!’ type of expression.
Using the magic he still has left in him, he tries to make the beholder look more showy. It doesn’t take him that much to realize that it’s kind of what he does for his puppets. He uses the same kind of voice-throwing to make it work, trying not to overly rely on his magic for every single thing thrown at him.

The card flutters through the air. Then... before hitting the wall erupts with a *POOF*! Thick, billowy clouds expand and take form until a very confused Beholder blinks and looks around. It's mouth moves, and a throaty sound erupts from it... a deep rumbling you recognize as Deep Speech. Even if you don't speak deep speech, it's obvious the Beholder is quite upset and frustrated at appearing in such a small and unweildy space. The sound of the irritated zombie causes it to turn it's bloodshot eye towards the Sacred Statue, who is now peering around the corner at the abomination that has now invaded its lair. "When did we get a-" VWWOOOOOOP!
Suddenly, the Sacred Statue is frozen in place. The Eidelon within sounds like it's straining to make the statue move. But with the anitmagic field cast upon it, it can't budge the damned thing!
Ororana blinks... snapping out of her shock. "Merkas... I live here. I've never once seen a manhole in Santekh. As far as I knew, we couldn't even tap into a water source to use a sewer system. When the bag of coins launches upwards, Ororana whips the fan up the tunnel, adding its Gust of Wind force to the velocity in a straight line up the escape tunnel! *DONK!* The bag of coins smashes into the manhole with a loud bonking sound! Coins spray upward like a geyser and the manhole flies free, letting morning light shoot down into the small chamber like a divine blessing! "HASTOS! NOW!" Ororana screams over the din as wind whips throughout the chamber, backlashing from the pressure against the emergency exit. "Turn it! We're getting out of here!"
Lashed to the transfixed Sacred Statue, the zombie feebly tugs at its leash, trying its best to get to the door, but with no affect. Frustrated and eager to be rid of this new pest, the Eidelon floats out from the Sacred Statue, wailing and screaming at the Beholder to Frighten it. But the Beholder seems unfazed, as it struggles to figure out how to squeeze its way into the tiny hallway.
SunDial365 due to a lack of room, Ne-Haredowell is still in the secret tunnel behind Sera, unless they intend to approach an angry, bewildered Beholder.
Sera stop first abruptly as the floating many eyed ball-like monster appears...it looks very dangerous and turn its attention at the statue and zombie like she hoped it would.....or she correct herself. Wants it to.... "I control it.." she mutters "I control it!" she say louder and eager so Nare who is behind her also hear it. She wants the Beholder to attack the Eidelon.
But she have no clue to what it really is ( Arcana test 1...lol). And that the Eidelon belives its antimagic ray have stopped it. She have no clue. Sera ducks under it and move to the sout east corner of the chamber. Giving nare some space in the stairs and peeking from below the floating Beholder at the ghostly figure of the Eidelon outside its statue shell. (aracana 7..no clue what that is either )
It looks ghostlike..and she know for sure it is evil shit..."Burn! you rotten stink wind from Sargonnas varty anus..!" Sera shouts and call down Sacred flame to burn the ghost-thing ( 10 Radiant damage dex save 13 )
Also whoops I realized that Nare would not know the beholder was an illusion my bad
Nare gawks at the sight before them, well not before first straining to see over Sera's shoulder. They had no idea that a playing card deck could be so powerful as to summon another creature! It was... stunning... majestic, they could not help but look. Despite the fear in their heart, they want to know more.
Then when Sera confirms that she can control Nare can't help but be in awe. They stare in fascination with the giant-eyed creature before them. "It's... beautiful."
"Haha!" Nare cheers alongside Sera when she calls that thing a stink wind. It's exactly as best as they could describe it. It it is then that they remember something. "Close your eyes!"they whisper over to Sera. "That fart can make us frozen with fear."
Practicing what they preached, Ne'haredowell does exactly that, shooting out a dark burst without looking at their target. "Ka-zoom!" they shout out, making the required sigils with their hands. The shadowy bolt of physic energy flings out from their head.
Then it promptly hits nothing. Or at least that's what they think happened by the sound they heard afterwards. "Oh,"they mutter to themself, ears dropping while facing Sera, still not opening up their eyes.

While doing its best to frighten the Beholder, waving its clawed hands about, the Eidolon suddenly realizes its hands are on fire! Its eyes go wide as it shakes the sacred flame, its ghostly arms falling to the ground and disappearing in a cloud of smoke. "You little-!" It shrieks angrily! Fresh ghostly arms reappear, but the density of its shadowiness seems to have diminished some.

Before the Eidolon can finish its retort, a dark burst of energy blasts into the wall beside it! It reflxively ducks, startled, and looks at the cracked wall in shock and outrage, then back towards Ne'Haredowell, eyes glowering in pure indignation that their eyes are closed.
Hastos walks over to Ororanna and examines the hole above them. Looking at the two of them he says: “Let me toss you two up there, then I’ll toss the bags up, then I’ll open the valve and the water will carry me up behind you.”
Ororana looks at Hastos, genuinely worried. "Maybe... just use the Ring of Jumping?! You could drown... or worse, if you open that door!" She puts on her Ring of Jumping, hugs Hastos, and lines up under the exit, squatting low to prepare for the leap of her life.

Sera see that the Beholder for some reason have made the ghost-thing stop posess its statue. She lets the Beholder keep doing it's thing whatever that is. And she did notice The sacred flame seems to hurt it and as it regrows its limbs Sera take the oppertunity to lounge forward. Her energy blade swoshing in a buzzling display as she start her attack. ( Sera engange the enemy)

But where are the others? She try to look. But for a dumb zombie in a leash further back...they are no where to be seen...." Hastos...Merkas...Orerana!" she shouts
Ororana goes flying through the air like a dart, exploding out the top, a bit too far. "Wuh-WAAHHHH!" you hear her scream as she flails on the way down to keep from landing on her head! She hits the ground hard with a pained groan and shoulder rolls to safety. "Gods damn, Hastos! Next time try to keep me inside Krynn!"

You fly up the tunnel, roughly at first, bounding off the walls until you get the hang of navigation, and pop out the top of the exit like loose popcorn, landing softly and gracefully outside of, and behind, the graveyard, near the residential district. You can see that a lot of construction rubble has been blown away by yours and Ororana's combo spell. And several local residents are staring at you, eyes wide in disbelief at your unexpected presence!
Hrothbert_Neruca, Merkas takes 2 Bludgeoning Damage from Hastos's DEX result. (His aim was a little off)
Ororana is still dusting herself off. There are visible scuffs and bruises all over her. And in the bright light of day, you can tell she will need many days of recovery to fully heal from the ravages of the sewers.
Ororana takes 6 Falling Damage.
The Eidolon's form shudders and fades with each strike, grimacing and wailing. But Sera's attacks leave it an opening it desperatelt needed. "BWAGLALALALAL!" It makes the scariest face it can, it's body twisting and forming in horrific, unnatural ways!
The Beholder attacks: Rolled Paralyzing Ray, but the Eidolon seems unfazed! Rolled Enervation Ray, no effect due to spell limitations. Rolled Fear Ray, but the Eidolon seems unfazed!
Hastos grimaces as he overestimates the force needed to get Ororanna through the top of the opening and grimaces as he hears the thud of her body hitting the ground. “I’msorry!” Hastos shouts up the opening. Attempting to recalibrate, he tosses Merkas up and at an angle, but after a couple of bounces he watches Merkas glide upwards. “I’m sorry about that too, Merkas!”
Once the two are up there, Hastos begin lobbing bags of loot up until the last one is safely out of the room.
As Ororanna and Merkas look down expectantly, they see Hastos’ face faintly illuminated by the light reflecting off the walls of the opening. Suddenly, he’s brightly illuminated as his great axe erupts into flames.
”Hide the bags and get to the Dwarf.” He shouts up. “I can’t risk that Serra and Nare came back for us and had to face that thing alone, but we need to make sure someone gets back to the town. If anything goes wrong we need you two to save the town. You know what’s down here.”
Hastos looks at Ororanna and Merkas’s faces and smiles. “We’ll see you there. Tell Glynnis I want the good shit when I get there.” Hastos walks over to the valve and gives it a twist.
Hastos plans to turn the valve enough to allow the maximum amount of water to flow and still be able to open the door.
Sera'a face drains of blood and for the first time in a long time, she knows true terror!
Larskolstad, Sera is compelled to run as far away from the Eidelon as you can get. The door behind you is locked, so your fastest way out is back up the secret tunnel.
The Eidolon pauses during its theatrical display, when a distant rumbling sound can be heard throughout the chamber. The walls beging to tremble and vibrate ominously. "no..." it breathes softly as realization sets in.
Sera turns to run as fast as she can towards the exit. Then... the deluge...

He scrambles to safety, and as he begins dusting himself off, the underground rumbling gets aggressive enough to disturb surrounding rubble. The local townsfolk, who are now starting to gather around you, Merkas, and Ororana to see if you are ok, begin to murmer in worry.
"Wha... what's going on?! Are we being attacked?! GUARDS! Someone wake the council members! Arms! To Arms!!!" You hear random people shout over each other.
Closing his eyes, Ne’haredowell has to now pay attention to his ears instead.
Usually he tries to shy away from his hare instincts, but now, he needed to hone in on them. He breathes in the air, the stank stagnant scent of the sewers, the sweat on his lips, and the rot of the flesh-eating zombie.
‘Swoosh’ He catches the sound of Sera’s in blade slashing through the eidolon’s smoky frame. And the resounding sizzle afterwards. He cheers at her resilience, her slicing down the creature that almost sent her to the afterlife along with it.
After the eidolon makes one of the most soul-crushing noises, Nare can’t imagine what is on the other side of his eyelids. “SERA!” He shouts out her name, just as she had with the others.
In a blind fury, the tendrils around his deer-mask horns flares. They shoot out towards the eidolon, wherever it may be. All one thing he knows for sure is that if it hits, it’ll hurt.

Merkas barely gets back to his feet, rubbing a bump on his head. “Maybe the fun was just a dream from being knocked out”
He starts rummaging through his bag for a healing potion as the rumble starts and Hastos emerges. Then his eyes go wide and he hops to his feet and starts running towards the graveyard saying to Ororana and Hastos as he passes them “Sera, Nare, Tomb!”
He runs what he can finally pulling a bottle out of the bag and downing it as quick as he can.

His short legs don’t get him too far but ducking around the bystanders is easier with his small size.
Sera stand and feel the shiver of fear run over her....the undead managed to get at her...and she stand staggering ...doubting everything...then
Water strikes!..a flood roars down the sewers washing everything with it. Sera take a deep breath as it wash over her. The statue slam into her and squeeses her against the wall..ribs crack and tear open her skin.
(failed dex save..she got 1 hp left )
She is so hurt....a part of her want to embrace the welcoming darkness. But she cannot ..not yet. So she swims or paddle like a frenetic dog against the current that treatens to wash her away. She still got the increased strenght and just by dumb luck she get a grip.....and hold on "Nare...NARE!...swim ..swim like it is a wonderful gigantic carrot at the end"..she got no clue what Nare really liked. Food, girls, treasure? She tried food first.
The water pulled and wanted to wash her away but she hung on by pure stubberness.
( still got the increased strenght buff. manage con save and then manage str save. Get 17 )
You see an extremely tight tunnel, with no other way but back up to the tomb, or back down into the sewers.
Putting this in IC, because even a 1 would reveal this. Without literally burrowing another tunnel, this is a direct route.

Ne'haredowell stares at Sera with fear in his eyes. In these seconds, he looks more like a prey animal than any humanoid. His pupils are dilated, and his ears flat against his back. "I- I don't know." He stammers when she grabs him by the shoulders.
"I don't think we.." No, he reminds himself, he wasn't even all there the first time Sera duked it out with the statue. Even that, she held on the strongest while he just stood there. His ears drop further, "I don't think I can handle it. No, not right now." He shakes his head.

( Rolled a d100 and just counted down on the illusion list. Got a 9. That produce a beholder if u accept it )
“Ok, ok, but we gotta hurry, or else Sera’ll think we’re in danger and come after us, I still think it best we turn that water on either way, otherwise the things down here are waiting for us to get back.”
So for smashing through that ceiling, I figure we need something heavy, the bag of gold seems best or maybe the book but I figure it might just explode into a bunch of pages instead of smash anything.”
Picking up a Kiskartchi he uncorks it and starts drinking it as he thinks.
“Alright lets see if I can get one of them magical things to happen again” concentrating on the the coin bag and then looking up at the ceiling he makes a big show of waving his arms around and the points at the ceiling and says “Fly!” And nothing happens.

"Close your eyes!" they whisper over to Sera.
"Oh," they mutter to themself, ears dropping while facing Sera, still not opening up their eyes.
