We've almost lost hope. The day has been long, and night is on its way. Please don’t delay the shadows play tricks but night is wicked dark within the woods.
The woods you find yourselves in is well known to be a shadow crossing things exist here that shouldn’t and wanderers are often never seen again.
Why you are here is your business but you’ve managed to cross paths and well- safety in numbers, right?
Burnic is a former soldier of his clan. On a particularly hot day of training he collapsed, and had a vision of The Dwarven God Clangedden Silverbeard calling upon him to take his Battle axe, and carve his name into legend. After the vision ended (with the help of a cool bucket of water from his friends). He told them if his vision. Took up his axe, and started his quest for legend.
Ryu, a Human Ranger who has spent his life hunting, foraging and making friends with all kinds of creatures in the forest near his home town. His parents died when he was young and he has lived with his grandparents on a farm outside of town.
He has always wondered what happened to his parents and, after a horrible attack on the town, he was forced to leave the only home he has ever known. His grandparents perishing in the attack.
He is now venturing quite far outside his comfort zone in search of answers, and perhaps vengeance...
Daisy's family used to call these woods home, but given recent events she's felt a bit apprehensive about staying. Curious as to what's plaguing the forests, she left her parents behind in an attempt to help restore the woods in any way that she can.
While adventuring is relatively new to her, Daisy's hopeful that her healing magic can be of service. The rabbit seems to be quite timid and soft spoken, but willing to fight alongside her newfound companions nonetheless.
Orien has wandered the Blackwoods for sometime he is over 6’ 300lbs dresses in fine sturdy clothes carries a chest hand-axes and a halberd. He has a tattoo on his neck and recently freed a kobold bound in a pillory in Iron-bridges. Now he and Kel Mudscale are running from a bounty hunter a town guard and scout with tracking dogs. “Friends we have trouble on our heels!”
The elven bounty hunter calls out, “No need for violence Orien just turn yourself and Kel Mudscale over. The rest may go free! This is your only chance!”
Kel had been very nervous since he had been broken out of the pillory by orien, he was very grateful and would pledge hos loyalty to them, he had one big goal in mind and that was to break this curse and become a dragonborn again, he would follow behind orien keeping his head down low, thisnis probably why he was late in his initative for combat, he seemed a bit lost in thought.
Daisy had been leaning against a rock for quite some time now, hopeful that Ryu would be taking a stroll. When she sees he's with a group of people, she goes to greet him before hearing the guard's warning.
She quickly makes her way over to him before whispering. "Are these your friends, Ryu?" The woman questioned, not sure what to think as she had never seen them before. She looks at the ranger expectantly, seemingly ready to help should he say the word.
(She'll just use her movement this turn to move to the square north of Kel's position c:)
Ryu looks around, surveying the area making sure to take in as much of his surroundings as he can. He turns to Daisy and says: "It looks like they could use a hand, so I guess they're friends for now".
Ryu doesn't hesitate at all and draws his longbow for a shot at the Scout. (Will roll on DnD Beyond to see if it's a hit)
Ryu’s sharp eyes notice the scout trying to get into position opposite the guard hunter and dogs. Rather then sit on the sideline, Ryu takes a quick shot- his arrow flies true right through the leafy brush. The scout yells out, “I’m hit, I’m hit. Take all of them hurry!” As he attempts to return fire at Ryu.
Action multiattack longbow to hit 22 damage 8. Second shot 5 a miss
The scout moves at half movement towards the guard…
The guard yells out, “You’ll pay for that villains!” As he uses dash to join up with the scout and provide himself as cover…
As Arrows fly and intentions called out Burnic rushes out to let his Greataxe do the talking, one incredible swing takes a snarling dog to the ground. It does not rise as it is clearly dead.
The bounty hunter raises both arms into the air tossing a handful of dust and the other a splash of water, “You will regret that!!” She howls as she finishes an incantation (sleet storm)
Dex save DC 12 on your turn if in the spells area or fall prone.
Orien (Dex save 12) barely manages to stay on his feet. He reaches out to Ryu pulling the arrow from Ryu’s torso his other hand glows like a building fire restoring all 8 hit points. (Lay on hands for 8 healing)
Orien then growls, “Enough enough I’ll surrender but Kel was wrongly punished he stays! No more violence!”
The remaining dog charges at Burnic frothing at the mouth vicious at the site of its mate slaughtered.
It however slides past as it falls prone on the icy terrain…(Burnic may use a reaction for an AoO if he chooses)
Kel would be dual wielding his twin daggers as he rushed up to the bounty hunter, he would attempt to impail them with his daggers.
