"Well, as much as I would trust you more if I had your names, I will settle for your motives. I am Iraneus the Valiant, and I too believe in the destruction of Cassius. As for the sword, there is no need for you to pay me back. Consider it a token of our friendship." Iraneus says, cooling his temper and collecting his thoughts. "Now lets get to Justinius before we are found out. I don't think those guards will waste much time after our faces are described to them."
Iraneus heads in the direction that the map tells him to.
As you jog up the street, you shortly come across a shop with a sign reading:
Justinius Leatherworks
We Make Leather Stuff™
(OOC: I'm just going to assume you walk into the shop) The shop of Justinius Leatherworks smells of strongly of leather (obviously) and you see different leather objects hanging around the room, such as saddles and bags. A man stands behind the counter, chatting with a customer.

Quil strides quickly up to the counter. "Justinius, I presume. We have an urgent message from Tavernius discussing the group you see in front of you."
Justinius addreses the man he is talking to. "If you would excuse me, sir." He then shoots Quil a look as if to say "shut up."
"Ah yes, Tavernius. Great fellow. I presume he sent you to inquire about those wineskins he commissioned on Tuesday." Before you can respond, he continues. "Here, let me show you my progress."
He beckons a capable looking boy, who seems to be his apprentice, to run the front room of the shop while he opens a door behind the counter, motioning for you to follow him.
Justinius closes the door behind the party and softly tells you,"Yeah I figured you might be confused after your friend," he motions to Quil, "almost gave away your cover. You never know who's an informant for the Romans. Sometimes you have to take extra precautions around here."

oops.......
Quil stands as far away from the rest as he can and pulls up the hood of his cloak, trying to hide his shame.
“I assume that’s the reason you were sent here,” he says. He then notices Quil. “Do not worry, friend. There is no need to feel shame in the Pax Romana.”
Justinius pulls back a piece of half-worked leather hanging on the back wall. He pushes on the wood paneling, revealing a secret passage hidden in the wall. He motions for you to enter.

Quil enters, muttering to himself--something about "such a strange day".
"Wait!" Iraneus says, stopping before going into the secret passage. "I demand an explanation. How do we know we can trust you, and where are you bringing us? I can trust Tavernius as a fellow dwarf but you have told us next to nothing!"

"The soldiers have surely discovered our identities by now-it's better than nothing. And no agent of Cassius would dare to mention the Pax Romana, especially if he valued his head."
(OOC: While he's saying this, he'll glance over at Justinius, trying to glean any of his intentions. Insight 22 - first good roll of the campaign lol)
As you step into the passageway, Justinius pulls the piece leather back over the opening of the secret passage, then closes the door behind you. "We can talk freely now, friends," he says as he leads you down a set of stairs. "Now, to answer the many questions you must have. My shop holds one of the secret passages that leads to the citadel of peace, the headquarters of an underground organization known as the Pax Romana. That's where we are heading. I know you may not trust me, but this is a matter of your security."
Quil:
You seem pretty confident that Justinius is telling the truth. He may, however, be holding information to tell you later.

"And why are we going there? I don't think you'd bring the everyday thief here, although they are arrested by the Romans. And finally, the Pax Romana was destroyed by Cassius decades ago. I can believe you are taking us to safety, but that is currently the extent that I can believe of you."
"A citadel, you say?" Iraneus questions. "Do you happen to have any religious affiliations related to this 'Pax Romana'? And what exactly will we be doing at this headquarters?"
"I see you still have many questions on your mind," he says, "Your questions will be best answered by the council."
You quickly come upon a turn in the passage. As you come around the corner, you see an arch, opening the dark passage into a room full of light. "Welcome," says Justinius. "To the Citadel of Peace."
You walk into a room, momentarily blinded by the bright lights emitting from all around you. As you begin to regain your vision, you realize you are in some sort of entrance hall. You see two guards in armor guarding an archway at the other end of the hall. "Halt," says a guard, blocking your path. "What is your business here today, Justinius."
"Well, as much as I would trust you more if I had your names, I will settle for your motives. I am Iraneus the Valiant, and I too believe in the destruction of Cassius. "Fine." Iraneus grumbles, stepping into the passageway. He fingers his holy pendant, muttering about "trust" and "romans".

"I bring a party of four, sent by Tavernius the bartender. They seem to have gotten into trouble with some Romans." replies Justinius.
"Ah, yes," says the other guard, looking at your party, "They seem to be the type. You are all welcome in." The guards step aside and nod to you.
"May we seek an audience with the council?" adds Justinius.
"Yes. I'd assume so," replies the guard.
"Thank you, friend," says Justinius. He strolls through the archway, motioning for you to follow.

Iraneus follows behind, sizing up the guards and side eyeing them as he walks past.
"I suppose at least this is better than a Roman prison." Iraneus chuckles.
