"I was once a peaceful resident of the island of Sicily. I had a loving family and three children, and we all lived in a beach-side house. Then, one fateful day, the Romans came. They raided the fields of grain, slaughtered the cattle, and imposed heavy taxes on the us. Then, Cassius appointed himself emperor. Before long, jobs were scarce and good paying ones were almost non-existent.
Cassius himself was coming to Sicily to oversee the construction of the new port. Me and a few other of my talented friends were tasked with "dealing" with Cassius. The night of the visit though, several of my friends came down with the flutus, and couldn't be part of the mission. So, I went alone. As I was approaching the private house that Cassius was staying in, I started hearing strange incantations. Suddenly, a harsh voice rang out from beneath me. "I know who you are. I know what you want. You can't get it, so you might as well get out of here before I call the guards on you." I had no idea how Cassius had found out so much about me, but I decided that that that would be finest moment I would ever get to kill two birds with one stone: it was an opportune time to end the entire empire's misery, and I could collect money to provide for my family. So, after a few moments of contemplation, I dropped down from the roof, and turned to face this new opponent with a newfound determination. But then, Cassius unleashed a mighty blast of fire, incinerating the gardens behind, and illuminating the sky with flickering flames of dread. Only because I was watching Cassius' every move, had predicted the blast, and as soon as Cassius tried to fry him, I rolled onto my feet, and threw three of my daggers in quick succession. Cassius however somehow leaped into the air, above the daggers, and in the blink of an eye, was grappling me to the ground. Soon, Cassius had me pinned to the ground, one foot triumphantly set atop my head. Then a fist came out of nowhere and all was dark.
When I woke up, I had a swollen jaw, and my head was throbbing. As soon as I gathered enough energy to look around, I realized that I was tied to a stake in the city square of Palermo. It was early morning, and from what I could tell from my limited range of vision, the square was deserted. Then, I remembered the series of events that had occurred the night before, and silently swore an oath to personally eliminate Cassius for the empire and for himself. Suddenly, the silence was broken by the sound of a blade being sharpened. "Oh no." I thought to myself as I realized what Cassius' plan was for me. As the morning turned into midday, a few people began to gather around me, then, by early afternoon, there was a whole crowd of murmuring passersby. Then, the executioner came out. The chatter died down, and then the executioner spoke, "By the order of the emperor this man is to be publicly executed for assaulting the emperor himself, being affiliated with a Mafia, and attempting to thieve the emperor's royal possessions. Any last words?" "Yes," I replied, "DOWN WITH ROME!!!" With that, the executioner raised his axe above his head, the sun glinting off the razor sharp blade, and viciously swung it towards me. In the spot of a moment, a dart came out from the crowd, and pierced the executioner's shoulder. Then, my friends quickly unbound me, and brought him to a safe place. Once I was safely in the underground bunker, I was to go behind the enemy's lines and personally end Cassius' reign of terror. After spending one last evening with my family, I set off, armed with some daggers, a crossbow, a precious Morningstar, and fierce determination to end Cassius. After a fortnight of travel, I arrived in Athens. Once in Athens, I decided to bide my time, find some allies, and then end the reign of terror. Quil here has helpfully told you what happened just now." After this Kevinus, exhausted from yapping, slowly lowers himself to the ground and breathes heavily for quite some time.
As Kevinus tells about his encounter with Cassius, one of the guards sneezes twice. "Sorry Mr Sicily Cassius Dealer Sir." Kevinus resumes with the rest of his story.
After finishing, the elvish warrior, Quintus, speaks, "That is quite the story, friend. I did not seem to catch your name, however. And the rest of you." He motions to Iraneus, Pyrius, and Quil. "Please, tell us your stories."
"Your story is not an easy one to trust, Pyrius," says Korinthia. "You sound like a native Roman as well. How do we know you are not a spy?"
(OOC: MOE10WRECKER when you respond also roll persuasion, also anyone else feel free to respond because I assume MOE10WRECKER won't be able to respond for a little.)
"Well, if Pyrius is a spy you have already said too much. If you were worried about spies, you should have questioned him at the door, but now it's too late. You HAVE to trust him." Iraneus shoots back. "And, as I have mentioned before, I am Iraneus. The Valiant. And I despise Cassius. As a devoted member of the church, I have seen first hand the destruction the Roman Empire brings to temples of worship. I do not value revenge, but in order to keep these holy sanctuaries peaceful, the time comes for us to stand up to Cassius!".

"You see this scar, well that is what Cassius did to me. I will pay him back with interest and his entire body will turn to ashes!" Pyrius vehemently explains.

Before any of the member of the council can respond, the doors to the room fling open and a familiar dwarf bursts into the room, shocking the two guards standing at the entrance.
"P-Paullus, I sent them here." says Tavernius as he gasps for air between words, out of breath. "They mi-might be a rowdy b-b-bunch, but I trus-"
"Sorry, Keeper Paullus," interrupts a guard (you recognize them from the first room you entered), grabbing Tavernius. "I couldn't stop him."
"Let the dwarf speak, Sentrius," Paullus says. "I'm sure he has something very important to say."
"Yes, I do, old friend. I trust this group. They saved my life today." says Tavernius. Highus Priestus seems as if he wants to object, but Tavernius continues."Put your grudge aside, Highus. I doubt a Roman spy would kill two of his own comrades."
"He has proved to be unloyal before, Tavernius. I see you empathize with your fellow dwarven alcoholic, but I will not trust him."

OOC: Notice how I left out the mafia part....
As Kevinus starts to yap, Iraneus starts to doze off. He is only awoken when Kevius shouts, "DOWN WITH ROME!!!", and he snaps back up, disoriented.
