Place holder, I'll get a shield dwarf of clan Bruenghor within the Sunset Mountains. A representative from the clan to help combat the goblins. Nothing fancy, an armored dwarf with a big axe.
Sounds good, heroes who can fight in close combat will definitely be useful in this game :) But of course not only them ;)
Updated my original post. Should be up to date with the requested revisions.
I see I have a lot of character sheets and there's plenty to choose from, so I'll just wait for @MathiasOfTheRoad (he has to write a backstory) and if no one else applies, I'll probably close the recruitment earlier than I intended and will contact the selected players via PM.
Player Time Zone: Across the Pond (EDT as of today.) GMT-4
Character picture:
Characters name:Mazra Gemwhistle
Age: 25
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class (with subclass): Bard
Background: Entertainer. He often is asked to help the morale of the townsfolk. Otherwise, he performs at the taverns for coin.
Level: 2
Hit Points: 19
Stats: Standard Array
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality: Borderline jester, so yes, a little bit of a weirdo. Always looking to find the humor in the situation, sometimes inappropriately so.
Description: He looks much fatter than he actually is. (It’s the bagpipes.) Otherwise, he has long red hair with an equally long red beard that sometimes gets caught up in his pipes.
Equipment: Done.
Backstory: Beyond growing up as an entertainer from a family of entertainers, he has helped to provide courage to those that need it; hope for the downtrodden; good cheer for the miserable, and anger from those that tend to be a stick in the mud. (He is inspired by this: Song of Durin)
(Note to DM: I am a friend of Deconblu. This Dwarf will know of Deconblu's character. I appreciate your consideration. Let me know if anything needs adjusting.)
Unfortunately, everyone, I won’t be able to run this game. I’m really sorry, but sometimes life makes a sneak attack on you... Thank you for your time and submissions. Hopefully, we’ll have another chance next time.

Sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well soon. Take care.

Age: 25 (or the equivalent age of a young adult dwarf)
Race: Dwarf
Class (with subclass): Cleric (War)
Background: Soldier
Level: 2
Hit Points: 17
Stats: 27 PB
Alignment: LN
Personality: Easy going and willing to laugh at himself, but can be real stubborn about the darndest things
Description: Zeke looks older than he is. His eyes squint more than most from staring into the sun and he wears glasses. His voice is a bit rougher and rawer than most from shouting over the noise of carts. His hair is still brown and his beard is still long, but neither are impressive. He is average height but with a strong chest and bulging biceps.
Equipment: Standard equipment. Might spend the 100gp on a potion or two.
Backstory: Zeke was in the local militia. He and his team were in charge of the secondary gate to the town, so they watched carts and commoners wander in and out. Zeke is used to being bored and can easily talk with strangers while keeping his eyes and ears on the move. He loves to play dragonchess but is certain that his set is cursed since he has never won a game. He is on the run a bit since he had a falling out with the lieutenant in charge of the town's defense. Turns out the lieutenant didn't appreciate the mutual interest his daughter and Zeke shared. The relationship soon resulted in Zeke starting to run for safety and finding it at a temple. He stayed at the temple until he deemed the coast was clear (about six weeks) at the end of which time he was a changed dwarf who was committed to helping others.

This is my first try at Play by Post D and D. I had a great deal of experience with D and D Second Edition many years ago, and have recently joined a 5 Edition group in my area (playing a barbarian.) I would leverage this 5 Ed experience and continue with a barbarian. I have the time and interest to participate in something new. I will have to learn the PbP details as I go, but the character sheet seems easy enough to manage. I look forward to hearing from you.
I do not yet have an avatar and may need some guidance here.

Unfortunately this game is not happening because DM had some stuff come up.

@GM_Mazra: everything looks good, thanks for submission :)
Okay, tomorrow is the last day for those who haven't finished their character sheets to do this.
On Wednesday I'll pick five heroes to answer the call from Barrow's Edge :)
Wait for me! I'll try to get the character sheet done by tomorrow!
