Elra turned her ear to the door, then sighed happily Sounds like a dwarf, it might be Okir. He went missing four days ago. We couldn't see him through the spy glass. He was making maps for us
Assuming the door is latched from the opposite side, Bronnryn tries to call through the door. "My friends and I are out here! Can you get to the door and unlock it?" After hearing Elra's comment, she asks, "Are you Okir?"
Hearing his name brings a big noisy sigh of relief to the manacled dwarf. Okir states loudly, "Yes I am Okir and I am unable to move. My arms are chained behind my back and I am shackled to the floor. "
"You can't open it with your mouth or something?" Bronnryn asks with a chuckle. If the cord is on her side of the door she will release it and try to open the door.
(OOC - I'm presuming the cord is her side of the door rather than Okir's side.)
A musty smell pervades the room and you smell it as you push open the door.
There is a mattress with a small trestle under off to the side of the room. There is a chest in a corner. You open the door fully so there is some light to see by.
You make out a male dwarf manacled and chained to a hoop in the floor, he is just about able to reach the bed, but not the door. He is wearing nothing other than his underclothes.
There is a cough, in a ragged voice due to the dust, Thank Mask you have come. Please Help, I hope you can pick locks as there are locks that need to be picked to free me. No idea where the keys are located.
Bronnryn calls over to the dwarf, "Don't look at me." She shrugs. "Maybe I could smash things with my mace. I shouldn't miss too often," she adds with a grin. She then turns to the others. "Hey, think someone could help with some of these locks?"
While waiting she asks Okir. "How did you get here anyway? Everyone else seemed to have been cruelly transformed into aberrations. They just run out of time for you?"
The bard does his best to play off the embarrassment of breaking his lockpick on the first lock he's attempted in a while. "Oh my...Well, a worthy sacrifice for our cause. Okir, is this all of your equipment?"

As my ankles are locked to the floor, my arms are locked behind my back, and the lack of seeing anyone else, I assume they are. Please unlock my arms and I can take inventory.
(Spoken with a wink and painful grimace) You are welcome to use my tools if you don't have a spare.
Bronnryn steps into the room, taking a quick look around as Mavilius opens up the chest to retrieve Okir's things. "Is there any jewelry here to steal?" she asks off hand.

"Any idea who that could be?" The young dark-haired lady asks Elra and Farenhel, looking over where the noises are coming from.

The door latch is being held in the locked position by a thin leather cord.

Sorry, no can do, too many chains, is keeping me immobile.
The knotted cord can be easily reached by Bronnryn

Bronnryn does reach out to release the cord. And she then tries to open the door, peaking through to see this "Okir" if she can.

Thank Mask you found me. I think my tool kit is in the chest in front of me.
I told them I was looking for jewelry to steal. I think they were convinced. Based on that, I wonder if I am the human sacrifice.
If you get me tools, I might be able twist and pick the lock. Unless someone else can?
Mavilius
The pink tiefling takes out his thieves' tools with a theatrical flourish and crouches to give opening the chest a try.

Mavilius looks at the old fashioned lock. He sighs and twists the lockpick, and the chest lock opens with a snap. Your tool broke in the lock.
You open the chest carefully in case of a poison trap.
Inside neatly folded are leather armour, lockpicks and a fine array of weapons.
