The dwarf then looks at the creature. "The map thing will change you back to a human? If we direct you, can you try to get it yourself? And how might you help us?"

I am Zala Morphus, I helped Markos to summon Krokulmar. But then he refused to share the power, he used the next mana surge to turn me into this! A nothik from the far realms. I still have my magic, but I need the map of the Great Snake Constellation for my spell to work at the correct time. As for trade I know where Markos sleeps we were once lovers and yet he still changed me into this, I can also mark his workroom on your map.

"Is it better to go through the Stirges or attempt to go through the windows, or is there a 3rd option?   I volunteer to go try the map room, while it would be nice if I have company, I can also go alone as I am use to that, but then being alone is why you found me...tied...bound...alone.  Okir grins after that last word.

You are currently in D8c with the spiral staircase and Zala. The stirges are in D18. You would need to go back through D19 and back to Faranhel in the star map room D21. They are all on the third floor.

Looking toward the outside wall, at the lack of windows in this room (D8c).

We can go down to the second floor like we planned.  I recall a window in the room below us (D8b).  I can crawl out that window and crawl up the outside into the map room D21.  Or even crawl into that windowed vestibule like hall next to the map room (D21) and walk into the map room through the door from the bigger hall (D19).

I can also try to get through the Stirges if you all think that is better?

Turning to the others, she says, "We climbed into the room next to the maps. But we probably could have gone in there as well. Bur pushing through the stirges might be the best way to go. But we'll have to contend with the butler-thing too. It didn't seem eager to share maps."
