"Oh yes, disguise and forgery are great fun," Mav remarks with a smile, placing a hand to his chin thoughtfully, "I already have all of my 'tools of the trade', so to speak...Some ink and paper can't hurt, ah, and that viol I've been eyeing." His tail flicks excitedly. "It will certainly help me...blend in, at this tavern next to a museum. Lots of scholarly sorts passing through, I imagine."
"I sincerely hope you know how to play the viol well. In the wrong hands such an instrument can inflict the most torturous sounds upon an audience." The lady in an elaborately decorated long dark dress comments with a concerned look. "If you truly want to blend in at the Sage's Quill then that is what you should purchase, or perhaps a dragonchess set, something that might fool someone that you are an actual intellectual." She goes on to tease, giving the tiefling a playful wink.
Mavilius theatrically staggers back as if wounded by Delilah's words, chuckling. "No need to worry; a confident demeanor can make up for more sour notes than you might expect. And I have enough confidence for myself and all of my friends."
Exa watches the display between Mavilius and Delilah carefully, then thought about how she might fit it at a plush, intellectual's watering hole. Her dark leathers were well-designed for moving unseen in the shadows, but in the middle of an inn like that, they would be conspicuous indeed.
"I'll need to get changed," she purrs with a grin, her tail flicking mischievously behind her.
High Cleric Althea nodded at them. 'The rest of you could run as security make sure no-one gets between yourselves and Cassee. I don't want the Zhentarim edging into the heist. There are plenty of shadowy corners that you can rest in to watch the tavern patrons. Even at this time in the early morning, its busy.'
"Ah yes, that I do not doubt, it is a pity confidence will only take you so far, just how far yours will take us I assume I will bear witness to soon enough." The lady in an elaborately decorated long dark dress comments with a small amused smile.
"Yes, I believe we are Exa." She then turns and answers the golden-eyed feline with a friendly smile.
Althea led the party back out of the labyrinthine passages back to the Temple. I assume that you can find the way back to the map room? Consider it yours for the duration.
Kyreth listens to the conversational to-and-fro. He waits for a break before adding his own contribution "As a scribe I could fit in with the intellectual side, but I think on this occasion I'll be better employed as security." He pauses briefly "I'm also available for document or map creation."
"That is good Kyreth. If we don't manage to get our hands on floor plans over the museum we should create our own during a reconnaissance there before we plan and execute our mission." The lady with the regal air comments with a small pleased smile and an acknowledging inclination of her head.
While their group is lead from the nap room, Exa is sure to memorise the route there for the future. Her tail swishes languidly behind her as she walks.
Once they're back in the temple, she offers a shallow bow to the High Cleric.
"Your mission is in good paws," she says with a confident grin.
"To the Sage's Quill! Who wants to run point on the interrogation?"
As soon as everyone is ready to leave, she would lead them through the city to the museum and its accompanying inn.
"I don't expect it to be an interrogation as much as a briefing on the mission from the good doctor followed by an interview by us, but that I am happy to take part of, or run point on if you prefer."The lady in an elaborately decorated long dark dress says with a friendly smile, the giving a small but graceful bow to the High Cleric as she turns to leave.
"Questioning, interview, interrogation... it's all chit chat," she says with a casual wave of her paw that suggests she's not too concerned with the subtle differences.
The group walks into the dawn, shadows cast from the twilight surround them, Mask is pleased.
Kyreth, Mavilius and Exa debate over the best route but finally use the Merchants road through the city. They walk slightly apart making it difficult to chat. Mavilius holds onto Delilahs arm, quick to move her away from dirt on route.
Those who have decided to be on the security team enter the Tavern first (Perception roll please) and look for a good place to watch from.
Mavilius and Delilah pause to make a grand entrance in their finery.
Kyreth enters the inn, looking around warily. Once he has the layout worked out he tries to find a good vantage point, but the best he can manage is a windowsill that gives him a little more height. He tried to balance on a curtain rod, but falls off and has to move to a different position to watch.
As you enter the Sage's Quill, soft light reveals mahogany furniture and luxurious carpets. A few genteel patrons murmur in the lounge. A group of students are chatting excitedly and keep exchanging papers. There is a group of four in soft leathers talking to a middle aged woman, their words are soft and difficult to hear. You soon notice a purple-hooded figure tucked into a corner booth, a large mug of tea and a plate of sweet rolls in her hands. Her roving eyes flit over you and a look of worry crosses her face.
The best spot for observing the room is a high barstool just in front of the great mirror, the mereist movement of a head is shown perfectly. Another is by the great fire, it's comfortable seats placed for guests who enjoy talking and music.
While Exa walks slightly apart to avoid drawing notice to the group, she can't help but nod her head in greeting to a handful of the faces she knows on the street.
((Exa is not off to a very good start. She rolled a natural 1 for her Perception. Perhaps she is immediately distracted by something shiny?))
As Exa enters the Tavern she is blinded by a bright light shining into her eyes. When it clears she quickly finds a seat and hopes for the best. More by luck than judgement she sits at the bar.
Spotting the purple hooded figure Kyreth moves to a point where he can watch the figure and the door. He spots Exa taking a seat at the bar and discreetly nods to her.

"Sounds like a job for these peepers," Exa says with a suggestive raise of her eye.
"We ready to bounce?"
She is obviously itching to go, slowly moving from side to side on her light feet.
