Here's what this is:

• A place for all skill levels to join in absolute chaos
• A way to meet new people
• A way to flex your character building prowess

What will happen is that each participant will create a level 20 character to fight with in the tournament and will try to make their way to the top of the championship to claim the title of champion and the glory, feel free to go buy yourself a small plastic trophy if you win.

Character building rules:

1. Only use 2014 rules for character building, I don't have any material for 2024
2. No homebrew unless it has been posted on the public homebrew pages and reached a rating of at least 1000
3. You only start with your starting equipment, no magic items and/or firearms unless I have specifically let you
4. Ability scores can be point buy or rolled, if it is rolled, you have to post rolls in the thread using the roller
5. You get to be level 20 for maximum chaos, multiclassing is allowed
6. No using the spell wish, for obvious reasons

Tips:

• spellcasters will want counterspell, power word kill will be too powerful then
• Be prepared for anything, the rules don't say Wild magic is banned

Tournament rules:

1. All players will roll initiative when it starts, this will determine pairings
2. Between each of fights, players will take a short rest, no fully healing unless hit dice say so
3. Twice per battle, a magic item will be dropped in the fight, increasing in rarity at higher tiers
4. Magic items carry over into other battles
