Gromedark takes a look around at his companions to see how they react as he thought maybe Baylee would want to travel with them and be there when Veritas was captured.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Rowe doesn't have a good feeling about this, but at this point, anything is better than sitting in a corner, waiting for something interesting to happen... Rowe nods to the Jerbeen and makes his way outside.
Thawdaum is utterly gobsmacked by this revelation, and finds the best way to cope with all of his shock and questions is to just gloss over the big things and take this mission one step at a time, deciding that they can process the scale of this quest on the road. Right now, they just need to worry about taking that first step, which is actually getting going. He looks to Gromedark and Baylee as he turns to head out the door, and tries to put his words in the best way possible. 'I don't think Baylee is quite prepared for facing Veritas once more...whilst she holds a great amount of strength and bravery within her, seeing as she was a part of the Hero's Party, perhaps it would be best for her to stay here and rest. It wouldn't be right to potentially put her in harm's way, seeing as she has faced enough and now deserves to pass her monumental task into our capable hands.' He then bids her farewell and follows Rowe outside.
Baylee shakes her head at Gromedark's question. "Veritas knows my name and face. I'll probably just end up being a detriment to the quest."

He/Him. I am the DM, you are the player. You make the mistakes and I decide the consequences. Now, with that being said - Are you SURE you want to cast Fireball?
Panya claps her hands in front of her,"I agree with the others! Let's get this done. The bastard's been out there causing trouble long enough." Panya lowers her voice a little, as if recognizing that some gentleness might be necessary, "And Gromedark's right, Baylee, we'll do our best to take care of this, you don't have to worry!"

Jean CamGaret - Half-elven draconic sorcerer (Acjots' Rise of Tiamat)
Panya Swiftheart - Halfling ancestral barbarian (The Life and Lies of Veritas Finbask)
Baylee manages to offer a grateful smile at that. "A-alright. Be careful, please. Veritas is considered one of the most dangerous men alive."

Gromedark waves goodbye to Baylee as they step outside the old adventurer's guild and begin walking West down the street.
"Saavalot only one day away, while travel maybe get know each other little bit? Gromedark good with maps, good when need hide, good for carrying stuff and lifting heavy things, and good for double-team fighting and ganging against others."

(OOC: yes. Question: I assume that as part of the quest we got some kind of proof that Veritas is a wanted man or would we not need that as bounty hunters in this world?)
(Bounty hunters are an obsolete trade in this world, yes, but this is a special case.)
