Dealuri has her longbow out and ready to pepper it with some arrows. Her golden eyes glow brighter than before, possibly indicating greater abilities, although her goofy grin displays no indication of greater intelligence or wisdom.
The Barghest sniffs the air, its drool pouring from the corner of its mouth in pale milky rivulets. Skritch you release your spell almost at the same moment that Thannadol lets loose a firebolt, striking the creature on both flanks. It spins in surprise and anger, biting at the patch of glowing fur on this side.
Dealuri while the creature is in a state of confusion knock and release and arrow, which strikes true in the monsters fleshy rear. It howls in sudden pain and spins to fix glowing red eyes on where you are all hiding.
Vakas pulls on his bow hard and targets the beast, he aims for a tender spot and releases. Then he finds a suitable spot on the rock to hide behind, trying to remain hidden as he targets the Barghest.
Short bow : 21 to hit, for 7points of piercing damage and 9 points of sneak damage, also 3 points of fire damage (using his ring of elemental charge). (Total 19 points of damage)
Stealth to hide after the attack : 15

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Vakas you sink an arrow into the beasts shoulder and it flinches backward as flames burst from the wound enhancing the damage.
Enraged the creature charges forward its eyes glowing with flaming red wrath. (It is not able to get to you this round though it clearly sees several of you now).
As the abomination approaches, Skritch messages trusty Sunhill to stay back. As his mount wheels away Skritch jumps clear, casting ENLARGE on himself (action) and going from TINY to SMALL, as he does. He know this looks pretty cool and wishes Rachus could have been here to see it.
Then, with the foul goblindevil almost upon him, Skritch morphs into a now HUGE Lion (bonus action).
By the look of the map Skritch'd get an opp attack if he tried to get away, so that's his turn.
Dealuri is momentarily distracted by Skritch's various sizes and shapes. Ohh, so cool!she says as she claps after his final transformation. The clapping reminds her that she is holding a longbow for a reason, so she shoots it again (attack 13, damage 10).
Vakas steps out from behind cover, targeting the barghest's head and lets his arrow fly, feeling the shot stay directly on target as he imagined!
Shortbow : (Nat 20!) 26 to hit. For 10 points of piercing damage, 16 points of sneak attack damage, and 5 points of fire damage. 31 points of damage with the critical hit, in total.
He gives a fist pump in excitement, and then tries to hide afterwards, but feels that in his exuberance from the shot, he is exposed.
Stealth : (Nat 1) 8

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
OOC: Posting was close to impossible this last week, I do apologise. Anyway, if you are all still here then on with the action :)
Skritch you assume your huge lion form and the Barghest snarls in sudden surprise before biting out at you Attack: 26 Damage: 20
Dealuri your arrow becomes tangled in the creatures wiry fur and does no damage. You do however get its attention as it charges forward (attack of opportunity from Skritch) and swipes at you with its claws Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Vakas you take careful aim and release your arrow. It sinks deep into the beasts side causing it to stumble and howl in pain as blood flows freely from the wound. Your efforts however have left you revealed for the remainder of this round and the creatures glowing eyes swing toward you, fixing you with a hateful glare.
Eek! Ack! Take that! is Dealuri's verbal response to the beast's attack. Fortunately, she avoids its claws and shots at it with her hand crossbow (attack 13, damage 9). Drat! is her final comment on the situation.
Vakas feels like running forward to help Skritch, but he realizes that the best way he can help is to do damage, and a lot of it. He takes a Steady Aim and releases his arrow at the barghest, taking deep breaths as he does so to focus his shot on the target. Afterward, he looks to hide behind any cover, ducking down, but is not sure that he can since the creature seemed to see him.
Uses Steady Aim :
Short bow : 19 to hit, for 7 points of piercing damage, 7 points of sneak attack damage, and 4 points of fire damage, 18 all in total.
Movement : none
Bonus action : Hide, stealth : 26

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
20 damage is vee vee bad, Skritchthinks, feeling his temp hp evaporate (and then some as he drops to 28hp). Concentration saving throw for his [spells/]Enlarge/reduce[/spells] (Nat 20 + 3 = 23, Concentration maintained, phew)
Skritch takes his opportunity of attack on the foe: 10 + 5 = 15 to hit. Dam: (d8+3) 6 + 3 + (d4) 2, total damage, if hit = 11
Then, with his turn, in one mighty leap at the Barghest, his huge claws reach out to rend the beast’s head from its hideous neck!
Attack with advantage (from lion’s Pack Tactics) since target is next to Dealuri:
To hit, first claw: (16 or 2, Adv.) + 5 = 21 to hit. Dam: (d8+3) = 4 + 3 + (d4) 2, total damage, if hit = 9 To hit, claw, the second: (16 or 13, Adv.) + 5 = 21 to hit. Dam: (d8+3) 6 + 3 + (d4) 2, total damage, if hit = 11
Dealuri your bolt flies wide of the beast as it looms above you, jaws drooling and bloody flowing freely from its wounds.
Vakas your arrow sinks deep once more and you see the creature temporarily loose its footing as pain wracks its body.
Skritch your attack of opportunity scrapes harmlessly through the creatures matted fur, but your rage is not to be so easily denied as you leap forward to deliver two devastating claw attacks to the creatures neck and torso! It is badly wounded.
Snarling it redoubles its attacks on you Dealuri biting at your outstretched arm Attack: 20 Damage: 15, before kicking back ward with a clawed foot Skritch to try to dislodge from from its back Attack: 24 Damage: 10
Thanadol releases another firebolt from behind delivering 10 fire damage.
That 24 is a def hit. Skritch takes another fierce blow. Concentration saving throw for his Enlarge/Reduce, per log = 7+3 = 10 >> Maintains conc.
Torn between nursing his wounds and getting the job done, Skritchdecides between him and his worthy comrades, they must nearly have the measure of this foul beast. He attacks again, twice, with pack tactics advantage.
First claw to hit: (6 or 4, Adv.) + 5 = 11 to hit. Dam: N/A, presumably Claw B to hit: (13 or 10, Adv.) + 5 = 18 to hit. Dam: (d8+3) 2 + 3 + (d4) 3, total damage, if hit = 8
It's not enough, not on its own. Skritch knows he'll need his colleagues to drive home their attacks. Else, next round he'll have to heal. Or flee (which he is vee loath to do!). Possibly heal and flee. Not necessarily in that order.
Dealuri yells in pain at the direct hit and shakes her arm to get free of the beast. She tries her hand crossbow again, aiming straight into the beast’s face (attack 17, damage 11)
Dealuri has her longbow out and ready to pepper it with some arrows. Her golden eyes glow brighter than before, possibly indicating greater abilities, although her goofy grin displays no indication of greater intelligence or wisdom.
(ooc - how far away are we?)
You all are well hidden and poised to attack (60ft from the entrance and its guardian)
OOC: fire when ready :)

From their hidden vantage, Skritch whips a Starry Wisp at the beast. It streaks across the space between them...
(OOC: Am assuming roll with advantage from being well hidden, but will note both rolls in order, per the game log, in case we don't have it)
Attack roll: 12 + 6 = 18
2nd attack roll: 11 + 6 = 17
Damage, if hits: 4 (and will emit dim light, 10' radius, and can't go invisible until end of Skritch's next turn)
Dealuri fires her longbow (attack 22, damage 12) figuring it is easier to ask questions to a dead monster than a live one.
The Barghest sniffs the air, its drool pouring from the corner of its mouth in pale milky rivulets.
