DM: You are at B5. The markets are the three circles that do not have indicators on the map. Do not get the impression that these are the only things to see in this city. These are merely what is outlined in the campaign. If you go anywhere else in the city, there will be something do to.

The party has a nice stroll to Foghome's temple without issue. Thelyss' orders have quickly been disseminated throughout the ranks that you are acting on behalf of him and not even the patrols stop you to order you to your lodgings.
You arrive and the temple's singular window in this spiral structure is dark. There are no lamps lighting whatever room that window connects to. There are no doors to this temple, having been torn down some thousand years ago or so. You are free to enter the building if you wish.
Ylis taps on the doorway with the shaft of her spear calling. out "Foghome?! Sorry we're late!" ...."Foghome?"
The guy is probably sleeping by now. She thinks. But she has always done her best to keep her word. So even if he is sleeping, she is here like she said she would be.

During the night stroll, Morgan explains to Sky the reason for their visit to the firbolg. He tells him that the sort-of-gardener-cleric might help them uncover more about an artifact they found not long ago, one that seems connected to what is happening around the town, the rift included.
When they arrive, Morgan takes a different path from Ylis (if possible). He keeps quiet, eyes scanning their surroundings for potential threats. The thought of a hidden faction in town targeting clerics does not leave him at ease.
There is no response. No light can be seen turning on at the window and the open entrance is dark, blackness reaching out from within the spiral.
Morgan is uncommonly quiet as he takes an alternative route. So quiet is he that even Frekor notices. However, Morgan's bat finds this moment in particular to spot an irresistible, fat, juicy bug floating around near Morgan's head and the familiar impulsively attempts to snag the tasty snack. It leaps from Morgan's head with a strong push off of Morgan's head, and flaps around trying as hard as it can to snatch the surprisingly agile bug. Thankfully, the bat remains quiet as it does all this, but it sure is distracting as heck for Morgan.
Ylis shrugs and scribbles a note on a sheet of parchment.
Dear Mr. Foghome,
Sorry we were so late. We'll try our darnest to be earlier another day.
Happy sleepings,
Ylis
She folds the note and places it under a small rock in an obvious place near the door.

Phooey. "Mr. Morgan I think you may be suspecting foul play with it being so quiet in there? Let's look for some ducks."
The bunny girl casts Light on a rock and chucks it as far as she can into the temple. Then she ignites her spear [item property] and running her fingers along the shaft gives it The Moonweaver's blessing Shillelagh. She enters the temple ready for mischief.
"Are we really entering a holy place armed to the teeth?" Sky whispers to Morgan. He looks afeared for his mortal soul at this point. Still, he raises his shield and arms himself with his morningstar, walking forward ahead of Morgan to offer some protection.
"My charm is my weapon," Morgan whispers to Sky with a wink and a shrug.
Suddenly, the bat under his hat begins to flap its wings frantically and flies away. Morgan yelps and jumps back awkwardly. Then he starts running clumsily after his familiar, muttering insults as he tries to catch it with his hat.

Randa shrugged, " Well.......I'd rather just use the bat to look around instead...........but.................."
Morgan watches Luna with a hint of jealousy. He keeps running, glaring up at his familiar and threatening to turn it back into an octopus (or any other decidedly non-flying form) if it does not behave.
Luna dutifully flaps up to the window, high up in the ruins. As it peeks into the window, it sees a giant snoring firbolg flopped down on a too-small bedroll. His blanket is similarly sized, with his humongous feet exposed to the night air.
Morgan's familiar on the other hand, seems far more interested in play and when it is done chasing around some bugs, returns to entertain Morgan with its presence. Strangely however, it bamfs out of existence in a puff of smoke, and when it bamfs back into existence, there are two familiars. The two seem identical to each other, but their movements are weirdly inverted mirrors of each other.
Frekor does allow the drow to touch his forehead and smiles a little while the drow talks.
At the mention of Luxon Frekor's smile vanishes.
-Yeah....praise be to them.- says in a lower voice to be cordial with the drow and makes a small and short smile.

Jacaranda simply nodded in response.

Sky pauses to allow the bat (or bats) to go ahead and enter before him, but he's now near the front of the queue nearby the door.
