That surprised him and after the shock now realizing that the person he found dead was Father Fon, he lowered his gaze whith shame for not being able to capture the killer.
-I'm sorry I didn't get his killer.- says Frekor avoiding Sky's gaze.
- Is the woman that was with him ok?- asks now looking at him hoping an uplifting answer.
DM: I might be misunderstanding and if I am, please forgive me, but it seems like this is a small error in continuity.
Father Fon was the murdered cleric in the underground room beneath the public well. The woman I remember was the one you saved in an alleyway some distance away. Her husband was slain by the group before you managed to intervene.

(OOC: I don't remember finding a cleric dead in the sewers. Maybe I read poorly and didn't notice the body.)
DM: No worries! Frekor led the party to the well where the guard refused to let you down because there was a cleric there doing a ritual. When finally you got down there, the party discovered that the cleric had been murdered, but it was not clear how the murderer got out. When you found the secret door to the sewers and pursued your killer until you encountered the several people and two demons.
"Father Fon is the kind man I was traveling with prior to arriving here," Sky explains to Frekor. "He is the one your group found murdered; you chased after the potential killer but they got away on foot after a lengthy chase." He still looks saddened when he mentions the man.

Sky puts a hand on Frekor's shoulder. "Oh ... you shouldn't, I mean, don't be. This is not your fault. I'm hopeful Father Fon's killer will be brought to justice. But any guilt should rest solely and squarely on the murderer, not on anyone trying to stop a murderer."
It really isn’t hard to find the crematorium. Thick, acrid smoke billows from the chimneys of this stone building. Corpses wrapped in beige cloth are stacked in a small yard northeast of the building.
A willowy man wearing a leather apron greets you at the entrance with surprising cheer. “New bodies for Bazzoxan, I see!” Behind him stands a giant of a man: muscular, blue-eyed, with short-cropped hair and a missing arm.
The muscular man playfully punches at the willy man, who dances back and to the side, the side where the other has a missing arm. “Hey, that’s not fair,” the muscle-bound man grunts to the teasing laughter of the other.
“Aha! The next shift has arrived. We kept them warm for you. Well, not warm like the living ahaha,” the willowy man teases with a sly grin. “Just get started here and let us know when you are finished. We will be taking our tenner.”

She has no problem with helping but handling bodies is not her usual thing. Being weak doesn't help the situation either.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
"Sorry, I'm relatively new here. Is this a cultural act the residents of Bazzoxan automatically understand?" Sky motions to the crematorium and to the pile of bodies in the courtyard corner. "Where did you want me to move these to, exactly?"
Sky doesn't look bothered at the idea of working with corpses; almost like he's done it before.
Morgan has probably never seen so many dead bodies at once. He tries to hide his discomfort. "Hello, and sorry, guys. Your shift might be a bit longer, I’m afraid. We’re conducting an investigation for the Taskhand."
He clears his throat. "We’re looking for someone called Prolix. We were told he was snooping around here without proper authorization. We need to talk to him, just to make sure everything is in order. Can you help us?"
(OOC: and... nat. 1 in persuasion for a total of 8.... someone help! please haha)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jacaranda inspected the dead critically, " Yes, we are not your relief shift."
" However I am happy to assist while we wait for this Prolix to show themselves.....feeding corpses to flame is a little more wasteful than composting them....but I have no objections."
Ylis scans the area and doesn’t see the Prolix nearby, but she is fairly certain the ash (is that ash from dead people?) in the air from the crematorium’s two massive smokestacks is causing her eyes to sting. The ash falls like large snowflakes, covering you all in a light soot.
The willowy man nods to Sky. “Sure. The city is built against the side of the mountain. No soft earth here that likes to be dug up. Nope. All rock… the enemy of shovels. So we burn em. All the soldiers they send in, we send up. The air, I mean haha.” He nervously moves away from one stack of bodies and points to it. “Take all those there and put them in there.” He then points to the open door of a large furnace box. “You can fit four people in it or one giant. None of those today, thank the gods. Too heavy for our three arms.”
The willowy man frowns at Morgan. “Investigation? Prolix? Yeah. If you are helping, I can devote the spared energy to telling you him. We saw that weirdo on our last shift, just yesterday. Always so interested in the bodies here but never stays interested enough to help. If we got bodies, he always comes and we got bodies every day. Just get started here and you will see him in no time.” The willowy man backs away from the stack of bodies and his companion approaches him with what looks like a bottle of beer. Beer? This early?
The two sit down on the side of the road, a healthy distance from the bodies, and watch you with an unusual interest.
Morgan is not very strong, but he rolls up his sleeves and helps however he can.
He treats the bodies with as much respect as possible. For some reason, he is afraid of recognizing a face among them. For a moment he imagines finding one of his friends… or even his own visage.
He forces himself to whistle and think about something else as he starts pulling and dragging.
Sky hides a smile at seeing Ylis "help" with the moving. He picks up a body with relative ease and says, "Thank you for helping me, druid."
If Morgan allows it, Sky will take the body from him as well and move it to the crematorium. "You're very helpful, aren't you?" he says to the man with the hat. "That seems like a rare trait here in this town."
Frekor has seen multiple bodies during his lives, and in many situations he has seen them being burned, both as a ritual and as a necessity, but he never saw that many bodies together to be burned so it was a bit shocking for him.
He then sighs, since he didn't want to have extra work (looking for Aloysia again, investigating Prolix and giong back to the sewers to deal with demons was already a lot of things to do in the day), but he power through it while being respectfull to the bodies of the fallen people.
-Let's just get through this so we can find him soon and do the rest of our tasks as soon as we can.- said while carrying a body in his arms.
(OOC: DM, do we still have the blessing that the drow at The Wall gave us? the one that we can reroll one d20 of their choice within the next 24 in-game hours.)
Morgan points a finger at his own face, a little surprised by Sky's words.
"Me? Helpful? Mmm... I grew up in a chaotic place where everyone shouted at each other. We never agreed on anything. We fought about everything… but, yeah, at the end of the day we still helped each other. I guess."
He pauses to think about it, then shrugs. Morgan grabs half of the body and offers the other half to Sky.
Sky takes the corpse's legs as suggested and easily works with Morgan to carry the body into the area the bodies are to be placed.
"I've always felt that people learn best to cooperate when in a situation full of strife. It's sad that it has to be that way, but I suppose it is the way of the world. It's not true of everyone, of course -- some of the cultures out there just get along naturally." Sky helps Morgan put the body in and then notes that there are four there, motioning for the workers. "These are ready!"
"The workers seem appreciative for their break. I wonder where their actualrelief is?"
As Jacaranda begins loading corpses, she can be seen to shake her head, " Unfortunately the ash from these remains is too alkaline and high in sodium to be of any real benefit to the soil around here......you would be much better off composting and it would add to the health and yield of your produce as well."
" Also a much more pleasant......though equally pungent work environment as well.......if you had some of the more docile slimes or oozes processing would be faster too.....or an otyugh.......their dung is highly rich in phosphates and minerals no matter their base diet...."
" Ylis? Perhaps a shape with more upper body strength would be more efficient?"

Ylis tugs on hands...knees maybe in an effort to move the party toward the crematorium.
It is obvious that jumping into a demon infested sewer is not her priority at this exact moment.
"Come on let's go! Get up up!"

Morgan performs his usual morning ritual (which mostly consists of trying to squeeze every last possible minute of sleep).
Eventually he rises, thanks Sky for the hospitality, and Ylis for her early-morning energy. After a long stretch, he straightens his hat.
"Prolix? Prolix. Let’s go! We'll take it out on the demons on the way back from the crematorium."
