"By Thor's hammer Bründir!!! That's a fine sword indeed!! But remember my friend. It's the quality of the arm who wields it what gives true valor to weapons!! I'd say that the sword has found a mighty wielder!!" he congratulates the dwarf.
"Look here my friends " he says pointing the trail left by the bear with his hammer " I guess that it wouldn't be difficult to find where it came. If this is the same infestation that we are trying to fight maybe we could find some clue of how this beast got infected and the whereabouts of that wicked dragonborn... and our missing friend."
He looks into the woods for a moment.
"But warriors need their rest. The trail is not going anywhere. We need to sleep but we should burn the corpse. And change the tents against the wind. I will put something on and grab some wood... My time of guard was near anyway..."he says.
Val catches her breath, ragged from the rage fighting against the miasma coming from the undead bear corpse. She spots the trail easily. "Truly, I feel that we should follow this trail now. If the blood trail says anything, its that this beast was recently butchered. We might loose our opportunity to track the person responsible for this. It might even be the dragonborn *****. We should at least follow it for a bit. If no one will come, then I will go myself." She will begin strapping on her breastplate.
She glances up at Hurrig with a glad smile and a nod of respect. "It's good to have you back, Hurrig. I will wait for you Thurston. Just make sure you are properly dressed this time." She laughs suddenly. "That was quiet the show, my friend. What of the rest of you? Will you accompany me?"
Vark's eyes pop open as his bolt suddenly fizzles out completely. "Oh we- good job guys!" he says relieved. He looks nervous at the thought of following the tracks. The sorcerer's natural curiosity is a bit compromised when the thing in question is a bloody trail into dark woods. "U-uhm uh... y-yeah we should... probably do that." he says nodding and getting ready to go.
Bründir holds up Dumdrengi proudly, "If I keep this beauty out, we'll know their comin' fer miles!"

Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Val nods to her companions and once she knows whether or not everyone is coming and geared up for a fight she moves over to examine the macabre trail. With her hammer in hand she checks the area and begins to follow it, making a few changes now and again. “Thankfully this is easy to follow. Who has the sharpest eyes and ears? Take point with me, watch the area while I track. If the trail goes on too long we can always turn back.”
Valaith is able to follow the path of blood and broken branches easily enough. It leads west through the forest and, after ten minutes or so, to a small log cabin in the woods. Smoke still pipes slowly from the chimney.
Jex nods at Vals suggestion and completely disappears from the sight of the party as he makes his way through the trees to investigate the building, finding a place with good tree cover to observe through the window.
As Jex creeps forwards, the sound of heavy, laboured breathing drifts into earshot. It's a bestial, panting-like noise and it sounds like it's coming from inside the cabin.
The building itself is a squat, single roomed affair and when the far side comes into view Jex can see a small crafting area set up under an awning. There's a wooden work table, a tanning rack and several hides hanging out to dry... including the fur of an enormous brown bear.
Inside, the embers of a fire are dying in the hearth and in the dim light a large mastiff can be seen stalking up and down the room. It's movements are stiff and unnatural.
While waiting in the nearby brush for Jex, Bründir draws the first few inches of his blade to check for possible undead or fiends nearby.
