The party gradually circles around to shadow the group of men and tails them off into the hills. Dorno's conspicuous 'sneaking' notwithstanding, they manage to evade notice and a couple of miles away from the camp make ready their ambush...
The group of bandits has an obvious leader. An aggressive, unpleasant man who keeps his men in line with threats and cruel jokes. He wears leather armour, and carries a mace and a heavy crossbow, much like the leader of the raiders who ambushed the caravan. He's accompanied by a quiet man with a slim face and a hook nose. This man wears no armour and seems to be the only one spared the bullying and harassment. The other four men are armed and armoured similarly to one another, with blades, leather armour and crossbows.
Crouched down in the tall grass he waits for that miserable oaf with the heavy crossbow to swing his big dumb hand again and sshunk the bolt goes soaring. Feeling the thrill of success striking their captain. Archie shifts a couple feet to the right and hides again. Fading into the brush. (I averaged the two damage rolls 11 damage)
Stalking surprisingly well through the grass, Vark is towards the front of the group as they approach. Once within range of the largest, Vark unleashes a blast of blue lightning from his hands, which goes careening into the ground next to vis target. As opposed to his thundering primordial curses the other day, this time the sorcerer lets out a simple "****." as he flings backwards on a small jet of wind before turning to run, diving down into the grass and going prone.
(that'd be a total of 70 ft away from the leader, since he started out 30 ft, then bonus 10 ft flight then move)
Valaith waits patiently from her position, the newly acquired crossbow nestled against her shoulder as the bandits begin to file through their chosen ambush site. She watches the leader with disgust and trains her weapon on the man first, but then she notices the hooked-nose man. His lack of armor and the obvious fear or respect that revolves around him immediately reminds Val of the spellcaster from their first encounter with the bandits. Her aim adjusts slightly as she leads the man and waits for the signal... suddenly Vark's lightning spell blasts into the small vale and she releases the heavy crossbow bolt! It streaks across the way towards her target and he takes an awful wound to his face!
Dorno climbs up over one of the hills, trying to keep up with Archie, and witnesses the others initiate the attack. The large firbolg gets up on his knees so he can see all of the bandits. He squints and makes a funny face for a second and Archie can probably tell that it is Dorno thinking. After a second, the druid starts making small circular motions with one of his hands, green magical energy beginning to sparkle around it. He opens his hand, palm up, and raises it a foot or so as if indicating for someone to rise. At that, grasping vines suddenly burst from the grass all around the rear four bandits sending dirt flying and begin entangling them and trying to pull them down to the ground.
(Assuming at least one or two fail their save...)
Dorno turns to Archie with an extremely wide grin indicating that he thinks he has done a good job here at the outset. The tips of his ears wiggle. The shouts of the bandits below bring him back to reality though and he realizes he should duck back down and take cover.
OOC For the others, since I often have to verify the effects of the various conditions in 5e:
(pending their saves vs Entangle, of course...)
Restrained A restrained creature’s speed becomes 0, and it can’t benefit from any bonus to its speed. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage, and the creature’s Attack rolls have disadvantage. The creature has disadvantage on Dexterity Saving Throws.
At the onset of attack, Bründir springs up to a knee and fires a bolt. It strikes true straight into the eye of the leader in front. With two bolts dug into the brute, he falls to the ground, "Don' try any funny shite now!" He calls to the harried bandits below.

The bandits are laughing raucously as the wander amongst the hill, when all of a sudden there are a pair of dull thuds and their leader slumps to the ground before them, crossbow bolts protruding from his chest and eye. A split second later, Thurston comes stomping loudly out of the underbrush and hurls an axe, slicing the unarmoured bandit across the head. Vark hurls lightning at the man, although it misses, arking off into the ground. Then, as Dorno summons up vines among the uninjured bandits, holding two of them firmly in place, Valaith pops up over the hill to the rear and plants a bolt in wounded man's eye.
The remaining men haven't even had a chance to act yet, but are clearly starting to panic. This sudden onslaught was entirely unexpected.
“Haha!” Watching the leader slump over. Setting his sights to the next in line. The bolt goes flying, striking true, but before the bolt hits Archie disappears back into the grass.
peering through the grass blades he sees the bolt sticking out of the right shoulder of the bandit. Blood running down his arm dripping from the fingers.
Seeing the panic evident in the targets, Bründir seizes his chance and pops up from behind his hill and fires another bolt. In the most unintended serendipity, it strikes the man wounded by Archie. The bolt strikes square in the man's head and he falls flat.
"Press the attack! We got'em on their heels!"

Vark peeks his head up from the grass, surprised to see how well the group is doing. He stands and begins to walk forward, just close enough to get in range of the bandit who’s still fighting. Vark raises his hand, a cold wind beginning to whip around his arm. He waits for Thurston’s hammer to fall before releasing the spell, sending a beam of ice blue energy at his target, covering him with frost.
Valaith drops the crossbow and rushes down the hill, drawing a javelin as she does! She hurls it towards the last armed bandit and watches as it sinks deep into his torso!

Dorno slides down the hill in front of him on his backside and does two somersaults as he reaches the bottom. He shakes his head violently for a second to shake off the cobwebs, bites his tongue, and lobs a stone at the last remaining bandit. "Hey you! Be nice and say you're sorry like your friends! Don't be stooopid!"
While the group is surrounded and is coming to. Archie takes the time to start relieving them of their weapons and gear while searching through their stuff. He also begins sharpening his knife.
Valaith looks over the bandits as they are stripped of their weapons and armor. "How many of you are left back in the camp? Why would you align yourselves with fiends? If you want to leave this place alive, you better answer my questions."
