Val immediately kicks the weapon away from the bandit and jerks her heads towards the caravan below. "Down. Now!" She means for him to climb or walk down to her companions. Do anything foolish and I split your skull."
Unable to escape with his injured leg and disorientated and bleeding badly from his head, the bandit Archie is pursuing also falls to his knees and drops his weapon.
"Please, don't kill me! I just do what I'm told, I'm sorry! I'll do anything, just please spare my life!"
Valaith's prisoner meekly does as he's told and slowly clambers down into the crevasse.
Archie squats down next to the bandit. Takes one of the daggers and places against his throat. You’re going to answer my questions if you want to get out of here. “Who do you work for? Where are you camped at? How many others of you are there? Did your camp hit a carriage earlier taking an elf hostage?”
Val slips the leather strap of her massive hammer over her shoulders and draws out a javelin as the bandit descends, prepared to throw it him should the man try to run. Once he is down below with the others she slips it back into the quiver and quickly retrieves her other javelin from the fallen bandit. She then pushes any bodies off the cliff top to the ground below and joins the others down in the crevasse. She approaches her prisoner, drawing out an axe and approaches. "Tell us what you know. How many of you are there? Where's your camp? What of the ambush on the other caravan?" She test the edge of the axe upon her thumb, drawing a thin line of blood. "If you don't talk, I'll take off your ear first."
Vark looks pretty flustered after the battle, and doesn’t respond to Dorno’s treatment until muttering a “Thanks” through the mouthful of root. He’ stay there for a few moments, before eyeing the corpse of the large bandit. Orcish practicality overtaking him, Vark slowly moves over to the body and kneels beside it, then begins to search for anything useful.
Archie's captive spits up blood on the floor and begins to talk.
"Korinn! I work for Korinn!" He volunteers quickly. "Her camp is in the hills to the north. Without us there should be a dozen or so of them left. There was another raiding party out, but I don't know what they hit."
Meanwhile, Valaith is rewarded with similar responses from her own captive, who is more subdued than panicked.
"There were a score of us, less now I guess. The camp's to the north amongst the hills, for all the good it'll do you. I don't know what other caravan's were hit today, we left early this morning."
The big bandit that Bründir and Vark fought was wearing leather armour and carried a mace and a heavy crossbow. Vark also finds a small coin purse on him containing ten gold pieces and on his left hand he wears a signet ring, bearing an ornately stylised symbol of three birds intertwined in a circle.
Walking down the crevasse comes a human, tall and bulky, with a winged helmet, blonde beard, a heavy cape covering his muscled shoulders and a big warhammer in one of his hands. It seems that he was running towards the caravan, but he has slowed his pace when he has seen the situation.
"HAHA!! By Thor's beard! Look at this!" he says walking slowly and with no sudden movements towards the party " It seems that this bandits had bitten more than they can chew uh? " he laughs again " Well done warriors! Well done!" he stops a few feet away from them " Please do not stop by the poor of me. I think that one was about to tell you where their camp is hidden I could use that information if you don't mind... "
He smiles to the party and puts his hammer on his belt.
Vark pockets the gold, and eyes the ring for a moment before taking that as well. he is startled by the new, booming voice approaching and he stands to face the stranger. "Uhm... wh-who are you? Why do you want to know where the bandits are hiding?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The man bow his head and takes his winged helmet. Then he stands tall as he says
" I am Thuston Barnatson. Humble servant of Thor!" his blue eyes bright with pride as he says so " And I am in search for this bandits here to show them a little bit of respect and not to steal from honest merchants. Specially honest mead merchants. Some weeks ago the steal the mead that my favorite taberner was waiting. That's how I learned from their foul deeds. And if murdering and stealing wasn't bad enough, depriving me from mead its worse!"he says that last words looking at the bandit and trying to intimidate him. The rest of the party couldn't say if he is joking or not.

Archie gets closer to the bandit on the ground. “Just following orders eh? I don’t think you would have the same attitude if the roles were reversed? If I was on the ground, bleeding out? Would you just follow orders then? I’m not going to kill you today.” Archie starts rummaging through the pockets with the knife kept pressed on the thug. “I will give you something as a reminder what following orders gets you. If I ever see you pulling stunts like this or harming innocent people... you’re the first to die.” Archie then takes the knife and carved an “A” on his left cheek. “As a reminder to walk the straight and narrow and you will be there to end you if you don’t.” Archie begins to walk away to join the others.
A blood curdling scream echoes about the entire length of the crevasse as Archie slowly slices his initial into the man's cheek and sends him hobbling off into the forest.
While not really worshipped by the orc clans, Vark is familiar with the deity, as Thor was one of the few foreign gods that his clan at least respected. Vark looks pensive, like he's having some sort of realization and not really paying attention to the rest of what Thurston says. This reverie is broken by the scream, causing him to cringe and cover his ears. "Uhm... okay. We're uh... actually well we've been hired to take care of the bandits. And protect this caravan. Maybe you could.... come with us?" he looks around at his companions for approval.
Thurston looks towards the screaming man, but seeing that he is just a whimpering cub he shrugs his shoulders and replies to Vark.
“I would gladly lend my hammer to this task. Thor will be pleased. Now, if you are so kind to introduce yourselves I will not have to call you by “hey you” . Also let me know if any of you need of some healing. Thor likes fair fights so he also teach us to heal so our enemies put a real fight.” He smiles again
Archie struggles down the cliff side to probably fall the last five feet. He brushes himself off and walks over to the stranger and stretches out his hand “Archibald Swiftstep, Pleased to make your acquaintance! I’m sure you will be a great addition to the crew”
The paladin shakes the hand of Archibald “The pleasure is mine. It’s good to find capable people. And I will do my best not to dissapoint you or Thor.”
“Well gentlemen and Val, the bandits are lead by Korinn and she has them held up somewhere north of here. There looks to be about 12 of them. Maybe once we drop off the shipment. We make our way to the camp. Let them split up into raiding parties and take out the camp while they are away. Cut off the head and the body dies.” Archie looks around at the group. “Did we find anything else?”
"Uhm... I'm Vark." he responds simply. After Archie approaches and talks, Vark pulls the signet ring out of his pocket, and holds it out for the group to see. "I uh, found this."
The firbolg lounging in one of the wagons raises a large, thick hand and says "hello large man, you can say 'hey Dorno' instead of 'hey you' if you want." He does not move from the cart and continues massaging his arm and chewing on a root.
Archie quickly takes the ring from Vark. He looks it over as he paces around while looking very closely at the ring. Pacing back and forth eventually to toss it back to Vark. Nice ring! Good find Vark. I wonder who it would belong to. It’s the symbol for Morrigan. It’s VERY rare to see that symbol around here. Few people follow it as a force for chaos or war.” As he hands it back.
Val immediately kicks the weapon away from the bandit and jerks her heads towards the caravan below. "Down. Now!" She means for him to climb or walk down to her companions. Do anything foolish and I split your skull."
