Arden will use Divine Sense:
As a Bonus Action, you can open your awareness to detect Celestials, Fiends, and Undead. For the next 10 minutes or until you have the Incapacitated condition, you know the location of any creature of those types within 60 feet of yourself, and you know its creature type. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the Hallow spell.
Arden’s eyes widened as Zertell unearthed the wand. He thought the sight of the man wearing that old helm and sittin’ proud on a throne looked a touch silly, but he held his tongue.
"Aye, that’s a fine find. At this rate we’ll be fillin’ them bags o’ holdin’ before long."
He kept close to the others as they made their way down the hall, eyein’ the old statues with no small amount of suspicion. For all he knew, they’d spring to life at any moment. When the arcane censer shimmered into view, drifting like a ghost, Arden readied his new shield and battleaxe.
"Anyone know what in the hells that thing is? Can’t say I’ve ever seen an eye floatin’ ‘round. But then again, after fightin’ a flyin’ brain, guess I shouldn’t be too surprised."
Arden does not detect anything with his divine sense.
You proceed cautiously towards the room near the arcane eye. A telepathic thought enters your head. "Clear out parts of my dungeon. Finish this are and do the same for levels 3, 10, and 12. I'm also concerned that the conflict between the githyanki on level 16 and the mind flayers on level 17 could spiral out of control; consequently, I wants one side or the other (or both) eliminated. You have your instruction and I will be keeping an eye on you. HAHAHAHHA."
After the telepathic communication the eye winks out.
The room at the end of the hall is empty. You proceed back to the long hallway and proceed further down the hall. The first part of the room is empty a 20x60 area. The north tunnel gradually slopes down 20 feet to the next area as you turn to look into the last area you notice.
Acid. The room’s domed ceiling is 15 feet high at the edges and 30 feet high in the middle. The dome is filled with sizzling acid that defies gravity as it floats 15 feet above the floor.
Statue. An 8-foot-tall statue of a four-armed fish monster stands in the middle of the room, facing north. Its webbed hands clutch an ornate, 1-foot-square stone box with a lid and a keyhole.
Secret Door. At the north end of the east wall is a secret door.
Zertel's imp is near the acid.

ooc - Alright, so someone wants us to clear those levels for them, stop a war between the gith and illithids, and they say they are watching us? Creepy!
The green circles are what we have cleared and the red is where we are at now?
Arden’s brow furrowed as the voice invaded his mind.
"Y’all reckon that was the Mad Mage himself? Gotta say, the title sure seems to fit. I ain’t about to do as he asks he asks, but if we’re fixin’ to clear this dungeon anyhow, trouble’s bound to find us. Might as well deal with what’s in front of us while we keep huntin’ down them magic items."
His gaze drifted to the chamber, eyes narrowing at the suspended acid. He hefted his shield slightly, as though bracing for it already.
"So what’s the play here? We try and snatch that box without gettin’ a faceful of acid? Or do we take the secret door first and circle back later? My gut says to grab the box now."
The warmth in his voice hadn’t faded, but there was a wary edge to him now.
Before the telepathic connection ends. “ sounds like an interesting challenge. We will of course need magic to hemlonmake it happen especially if we are to survive the lower levels …githyanki and mind flyers dont like ro be bothered..”

You are currently in the northern door and have worked your way around to the last 30 x 30 room with a secret door.
You still have the last southern door to check and you have not looked at the double doors just yet.
Capa can you roll a history check with adv via help from the others.

”A talking eye is strange. It a bad sense of humor.” Capa was unimpressed by the Dad joke. “I can run fast to the box. I have no acid resistance. Can anyone teleport?”

Detect magic should at least tell domain
You notice a translucent gray aura around the wand denoting a school of Divination type magic to it.
